I love this little town. I grew up in LA where we thought Riverside was an armpit. But I live here now and love it. It's charming and calm. My favorite place is hiking around on Mt Rubidoux next to downtown. https://www.flickr.com/photos/muzzlehatch/5046433104/

I've gone hiking on these trails and they are nice. Haven't been for a few years though, so can't really tell you what they look like now. If you want to add a romantic element to it, one of the trails has a Romeo and Juliet story around it. The hike ends at a cliff where the, well the ending of a Romeo and Juliet story. You have to hike for a couple of hours for that though.
Also, Lake Hemet is always nice, and scenic right off of the road.
... If you think about it, asking the people who live around here that question doesn't make much sense -- I mean, we live here, how would we know ?
That said, try searching AirBnB, and check travel sites like Tripadvisor or Hotels.com for deals.
I don't think I have weights, but I have two used, and currently unused, BodyRev Perfect Pushup rotating grips that I'd be willing to part with for $10 total. They look like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Perfect-Fitness-PP6105-Pushup-Original/dp/B000KDM3BG
