I read through and took notes on the BoK (Body of Knowledge) provided by SHRM twice in the 4 months preceeding my test.
I also studied these:

I felt like I still didn't do as well as I could have despite passing. Be prepared to be mentally and emotionally wiped out for a day or two afterwards.
It was the hardest academic test I've ever had to take in my life.

I studied for the SHRM for roughly 4 months and the last three weeks were almost solo with these cards.
I referenced the BoK when I wanted more detail, but these cards helped.
The test is going to be a lot of judgment situations and you will need to understand the concepts in the books to be able to answer them well.
Be prepared to be mentally and emotionally wrecked for the next two or three days. It's one of the hardest things I've done in my life. I felt like a failure the entire time I was testing and I still passed.
So DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE! Breath, take a moment to catch your breath when you feel it creeping up on you during the test.
I bought several books but ultimately this bundle was the one that helped the most. The SHRM learning system is great but pricey. Download what you can from their site (the BoCK info), use these books, make flash cards and put in the study time... you should pass.

Also, fwiw, someone wrote a really thorough post on their study materials and highly recommended this book - I bought it but never used it (I’m bad at studying)
Hi! I just added and I used this book:
I also used the learning material on the SHRM site but I know it’s changed since I took my test
I used this and the 2018 learning system to pass.

Good luck. There's a lot of situational judgments on the test that really grill you. Be prepared to be utterly wiped out at the end of it.
I spent a couple of months doing the learning system but didn't attempt the post-test until the week before the test, which is when I started freaking out because I got a 69%. I ended up buying the Kindle version of the Kelly and Simon-Walters practice exams and doing all of the SCP ones and then going back and re-doing all of the ones I missed. The quiz questions in the learning system did not prepare me for the test, if I hadn't gotten the Kelly and Simon-Walters book I would not have passed. The book has both CP and SCP questions.

You don't mention which one you're taking but the book has both CP and SCP questions.
I know there are several good resources that have practice questions (specifically, situational judgement questions). Below is a link to one good one.
I don't know if you have any funds at all, but a lot of these high quality books have anywhere form 100-1,000 practice questions and most cost just $30-$50. With SJ's, I found that it was less about the content within them, and more about understanding how SHRM wants you to answer. The only way to really practice this is thoroughly analyzing practice questions and the right answers.
