I just bought a cheap one off of amazon for med school dissections and I'm pretty happy with it!

It's holding up well and washes nicely. I don't think you have to spend much on one. They're mostly all pretty similar and don't have to be replaced more than once every few years.
Install the un-paywall extension, which will show you if a free version is available, and for everything else use sci-hub. Follow sci-hub on Twitter (@scihub_love) so you know when the mirrors change.
Seriously, I often use sci-hub even for journals we have subscription to, because it is so much simpler, just paste in the DOI or URL.
I'm not familiar with JMP, but I looked it up and it is from the people who develop SAS (a very popular statistical software). So hopefully, you can ask google questions as well when you get stuck. One website in particular I have found helpful, with both coding and stats questions, is StackOverflow. I checked and they have tags for JMP (and SAS).
