You might be able to use the candy corn one, with slight changes, and pink fabric.
The pattern is from the book The Wonderful World of Rose Miniscule, which has plenty of pictures so I would recommend it to beginners like me. I had only previously used the sewing machine to sew a couple of drawstring bags and some lavender sachets, so I thought maybe this would be too challenging, but I did better than expected. I discovered that I couldn't mark this fleece (or maybe all fleece?) with chalk, so I decided to pin on the paper pattern and sew around it (probably not the best method, as I know the pinning caused some creases and bunching around the body). The openings and the snout were done by hand. The waistcoat was supposed to have lining, but I found the instructions too challenging, so I decided to use felt and do without. Hand-stitching the hems probably took me longer than it took making up the bear, and I didn't do a neat job with the two fronts, which as you can see came out uneven. I wanted to add a real button but it's a gift for a kid who's one and a half, so I thought best to use felt.

I made the mice and it was my second project of this kind, I am still a beginner. Very easy to follow, absolutely lovely all around, I would definitely recommend the book!
Hi! Welcome to the club ♥️😊.
My recommended beginner project is a pillowcase because those are suuuper easy to make and very forgiving.
I think that first of all it's good to think about what things youre most interested in sewing because those would require different tools:
Do you want to make: - Clothing? - Bags? - Random things like pillowcases and scrunchies? - Upholestery and curtains?
And once you get into that territory, what kinds of things do you want to make? If you want to make clothing, does that mean hoodies? Ball gowns?
Thinking about that stuff is useful when determining what to buy.
But in general, some supplies you will need pretty universally are:
. Fabric . Something to cut fabric with (either scissors or a rotary cutter with a rotary mat, or both!) . Pins and clips to hold your fabric together (both are good in different situations). I bought these sewing clips a year ago, I love them https://www.amazon.com/MumCraft-Multipurpose-Sewing-Package-Assorted/dp/B001PNIWT2?pd_rd_w=DyHmC&content-id=amzn1.sym.8c981e06-5a7a-4bcc-9969-07c3b3fbb9a6&pf_rd_p=8c981e06-5a7a-4bcc-9969-07c3b3fbb9a6&pf_rd_r=77NDCX4M1A45940X8AB5&pd... . A sewing machine! (Unless you wanna hand sew)
And you can learn stuff about those items I listed: How do you use fabric scissors? How do you use a rotary mat and rotary cutter? How do you pin fabric effectively? What are good start sewing machines? (I recommend a brother cs6000i!)
I believe in you!!
Sure!
So here is the original product order I made on amazon like 3 years ago. I dug through my history to re order it and it arrived a totally different cut and fit with a god-awful material so that option was out of the question lol

I recommend getting this book and starting out with hand sewing. It's a lot cheaper and easier to pick up, and should do the job for scrunchies and such, at least as you're getting started. https://smile.amazon.com/Make-Sew-Mend-Traditional-Sustainably/dp/164567486X/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3EHQ55M65TEVK&keywords=make+sew+and+mend&qid=1663888889&sprefix=make+sew+and+me%2Caps%2C395&sr=8-1
Link removal: I use tweezers and small brushes such as thesethat are normally used for tooth flossing. I bought a pack of the brushes at my local 99¢ only store.
Don’t use the air in a can to try to blow out the lint. You usually just end up blowing the lint further into the machine. Some vacuum cleaners have mini brush attachments that can be used to vacuum out lint around the bobbin case. Some bobbin cases are easily removed to give better cleaning access to that area. There are many videos online about cleaning and maintaining sewing machines. Look for one that is specific to your machine.
Good luck.
My boyfriend got me this last year for Christmas and it’s been great! I’ve made quite a few projects, easy to use, not a ton of bells & whistles, but perfect for beginners
Plus the customer service was incredible! I had an issue with the needle arm and they sent me a completely new machine!

Small clips like these might be useful. There are many vendors of similar clips and they can be purchased in many fabric stores.
Bernadette Banner's book has great information about fabric types, grains, sewing techniques (a lot of handsewing), and just a lot of good information to give you a baseline.

I use a double-sided hanging jewelry organizer like this and I find it works well for my small space! I hang it on the side of my sewing desk.
No prob! I was having the same issue a couple years back with my machine. I was sewing flannel, and my issue ended up being a combination of the needle becoming dull and the area under the feed dogs/needle plate being dusty with flannel debris. Use a duster such as this one. Do not use a can air blower unless the instruction manual says it’s okay as those can cause debris to gather in far corners that aren’t reachable by a lay-person. Also avoid oiling the machine unless it states that you can in its instruction manual.
As a beginner I have a Brother JX17FE. It was a gift from my friends for my birthday and it's very useful (and perfect for me)! It's easy to understand when you are a newbie (like me) but you can do a large range of projects. So far, I made bags, pillowcases, stuffed toys, cushions and skirts.
The sewing machine comes with some accessories and different kind of needles.
For my birthday, as a beginner, my best friends get me a Brother JX17FE. It's cute, comes with additionnal needles and accessories and works perfectly. So far, I've sewn around 20 projects and it's perfect. It's 105€ so around 89£.
Not doomed! Depending on how frayed the edges are, you can trim it up and get some iron-on denim patches like these to go on the inside.
You don't necessarily need a Singer presser foot with that machine. A normal low shank presser foot adapter with a regular snap-on foot will fit as well.
Get an adapter like this one:
Does the presser foot you bought have a 6 mm (1/4") wide attachment point? If so, a normal low shank adapter will fit. The combination of the two will fit your machine. Just don't try to mix Singer adapters or presser feet with normal stuff.
If you're looking for a computerized machine, look for that little slider under the digital display. The speed won't go any faster than wherever you set the slider with the arrows. Big help for me as a newer sewist!
Also, my mom's had this same machine for 10 years with zero issues, if that's helpful.
It's definitely a specialty foot, not one that would come with the machine. The black ridge down the center front looks like it aligns along an edge or in the center of a seam. The needle opening is much wider than normal so it can accommodate decorative or wide zigzag stitches. Most presser feet are universal (fit most machines) and this is a low shank foot which is most common. That doesn't help in identifying it though.
You'll have to search for specialty presser feet, but I think it's to make it easier to attach bindings. Here is a binding foot which looks similar (zoom in on the first and second image).
I bought this one a while back. It’s adjustable and is $120 USD on Amazon. The Medium size looks like it would work for you. I would also check eBay for used ones.

I've used erasable highlighters before. It disappears then you iron it. It worked fine on white cotton, you might want to test it on a bit first though, whatever you use. And obviously wouldn't be useful if you're ironing a piece throughout the process, you'd have to keep remarking.
These are the ones I've used pilot erasable highlighters

This book is considered a classic in how to sew. You can usually find cheaper editions elsewhere. It will go over most things a beginning sewist needs to know!
Brother CS7000X is an excellent beginner’s machine with high-level features. This is the machine that everyone recommended to me when I first started sewing a year ago, and I have been very pleased with it. It is computerized, which makes it really easy to select your stitch, and it has a great handbook that is easy to follow with instructions on how to use the machine’s basic features.

Hi, I'm also a beginner but I got this one last year and it has been fantastic. This is my 2nd sewing machine, and it has a lot of features I really like. I like that it has diagrams everywhere that make it easy to remember what you're doing as a novice, and as I've been sewing more and more the needle threader has been so helpful. I did have some trouble sewing through thicker fabrics like jeans, but once I watched the video below I haven't had a problem. This doesn't have any of the automatic needle up/down settings, but that's never bothered me. Hope you find a good recommendation!
