This is so cool! If you want just the soup base you can buy the “bricks” on Amazon or most Asian markets and if you can’t find shaved meat consider getting your own slicer... you can get a good one on Amazon for ~$50 (search “manual meat slicer”), it should save you money in the long run because you’ll be able to buy your meat in whole, bulk cuts.

plastic or wood for sure. more specifically the round or square ones that taper off into a cylindrical shape
I feel like this meal would be really fun to eat on one of those constructive eating plates with the bulldozer spoon and such.
I've had a few Indian lintel and rice dishes that come in cups. I thought the masala rice had a nice flavor and heat, but I'm not super experienced with Indian food.

I ended up just ordering some fiberglass ones with a textured tip. Not squared at the tip but I think the texture will help. Also looking at all the pics of people using chopsticks on Amazon, I think I may be holding too close to the tips.
Sorry for the Amazon link but this is the closest I found to the Japanese one in UK.
You can usually find them at Asian grocery stores.
It's just this tiny little Dash 2-cup cooker. The reviews seems pretty good, and it was just under $20 for me. I'm supposed to be eating low-carb anyway, so if it only works for a year or so I'll be pretty happy with that.
They do have bigger pink ones on Amazon if you need more rice!
I don't know where you are, or if this is authentic, but I love this hot sauce for a Thai chili flavor.
oh I just found it on Amazon! seems pricier than what I pay in-store, but that seems to be the case with most food items like this on Amazon

Ours are pretty simple. But we call them crack pickles lol
We started with the pickling cucumbers from our garden but they didn't grow fast enough so we buy those mini cucumbers at the store. Aldi and Sams Club have decent prices on them.
-Slice up your cucumbers how ever you want. Spears, 'circles' (can't think of the word i want here), sandwich slices, whatever.
-Salt 'em a bit and we use Himalayan pink salt
-Put them in a freshly cleaned jar. As I put them in, i do some layers of garlic, cucumbers, pink salt, cucumbers, red pepper flakes, cucumbers, kosher salt, cucumbers. I call this McCormick's seasoning my secret ingredient, it's added in the layers too.
-Fill 2/3 vinegar and 1/3 water. However big your jar is, that's your measurements.
-At this point, sprinkle in just a bit more of that secret ingredient, little more garlic, little more salt (either or both).
We refrigerate these without properly canning because they don't last long. We call them crack pickles. We were making multiple jars to rotate through. They are best if they sit in the fridge for 24-48 hours before eating.
My dad asked us to try our hand at bread and butter pickles and we followed this recipe for the most part. I think we altered the vinegar/water ratio a bit. And had to double or triple the ingredients because he brought us a LOT of cucumbers to use!!
Honestly, i just read a few different recipes and then winged it. We ended up on a winner with the 'crack pickles'.
This one is perfect too

The GF bought me a 30 pack of Nissin Black Garlic for Valentine's. She's a cardiac NP. She must want me to come visit her at work.
The broth is basically the soup stock for this recipe with a few tablespoons of capsaicin powder
