$675 is a really great price for it and it is better than all of the other optics you are looking at by a good margin.
> because of their customer service and warranty.
Athlon also has great customer service and warranty.
>Your Athlon product is not only warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Athlon will also repair or replace, at no charge to you, your product if you should damage it through normal use. No receipt needed, no registration required.
They also make some better products at the same price points as Vortex, and are making a lot of waves right now because of it.
The one you'd want to look at is the Midas TAC 4-16x
/u/SWVAguns says the Midas and Ares scopes will be going on sale soon, and he can help you out with other Vortex models.
Well I think the first part would be to find what the max length would be and then try seating depths .010”, .020” and so on “off the lands”. I’m no expert so I’d read up more on how to do that. I’ve used on of these, but I’ve read a lot of folks using this one too. Be warned, it is a bit of a can of worms and adds another layer of complexity.
You could just say fuck it, and roll with a solid .7 moa load.
Yeah it's an app for Android called Range Buddy (SubMOA for iPhone). It's my first time using it and it wasn't very intuitive but seems to work fine once you figure it out.

I’ve had good luck with this one. You’ll want to tweak the cant tension screw with some washers and you’re golden.
I have this one. Just know that it's a chinese knock off, don't expect atlas quality from it. The knob that tightens it down is complete crap, it goes from locked tight to floppy loose in a fraction of a turn. I put a big O-ring in there and it seemed to help a lot. There is slop in the leg-body junctions, even slop in the body-qd mount junction.
But it doesn't really matter to me because when I load it all the slop is taken up consistently and it is stable. I bought it because $250 is obscene when I prefer harris style operation butttt an atlas just looks to sexy to pass up. Honestly it's no atlas but it's also 1/5 the price.
> Auto zone had a color borescope on sale I think for $150
Amazon has quite a number that are USB. They're MUCH cheaper because you have to provide your own screen (laptop or smart phone)
