TV and movies would be stored locally on the plane, and it should update periodically. The live TV (the way I understand it) works just like Dish or DirectTV, so it wouldn't operate over the "data" network.
I use their wifi all the time, perks of A-List Preferred, my experience varies flight to flight. Normally, I just assume I can do iMessage, e-mail, and slowly browsing Reddit.
The company Southwest uses is supposed to be upgrading their satellites soon. Unlike Gogo, Southwest doesn't use a cell network for its Internet, but satellites (also why it's available gate to gate).
I have been impressed with their system more than others; including the use of Squid Cache (http://www.squid-cache.org/) to optimize the internet a bit. For example if somebody has already loaded CNN.com then it will just fetch that page from its cache instead of reloading it.
Im the opposite, I live here in Boulder, CO and I planned on flying out Thursday morning to Chicago.
About 4 hours ago, Southwest cancelled my flight due to "Weather", as others on this post have stated they have forecasted blizzard like conditions for most of Wednesday, impacting the flights on Wednesday, resulting in no flights being on the ground Thursday morning (original flight was departing at 5:45 am).
Earliest they were able to switch me to was a 9pm flight out of Denver on Thursday, which is causing me to lose a full day in Chicago.
I called and explained the business impact to me, the rep said "nothing they could do" because its weather related.
I asked to speak to a supervisor, who repeated SWA couldnt control the weather.

Side note: Im not asking for SWA to control the weather, but to cancel a flight 48 hours out, WITHOUT ANY SNOW CURRENTLY HAPPENING ON THE RADAR, is bonkers. Meteorologist have been wrong over 50% of the time since ive lived here in CO (2 years).

The supervisor completely understood and said she could do nothing on her end, but she could transfer me to customer relations.
Customer relations saw how frequently I fly and valued my business, they made it right with a travel voucher.
1.5 hours later, while no closer to Chicago on Thursday morning, I can honestly say SWA has done what they can for me at this point. Hoping the weathermen are wrong again and Im able to hop on an earlier flight with A-List Standby (Thank god for that perk)

I'm surprised I can't find it online either. I don't blame you for loving the strap, it is incredibly unique! And yeah, the Fossil watch is only 0.5 mm smaller than my Orient Mako XL which fits my wrist perfectly. I hope I pop up in your head if you ever decide to sell. Cheers, mate!
I use these when I travel with my 6 and 9 yo.

Yes! They were really filling too, for an airplane snack.
I’m almost positive these are the same items, just in a plastic cup instead of a packet:

No weighing of Carry-On, but your checked luggage will be weighed 50lb maximum before a fee kicks in. LPT-Pick up a cheap luggage scale and keep it in your largest suitcase. It's only $8 and a good purchase (see below). Trust me, having to swap stuff between two suitcases at an airport at 5:30AM to get both of them under weight is not a good start or finish to a vacation.
There is also a five point harness strap system called CARES and it wraps around the back of the seat and harnesses over the chest like a car seat harness. This reduces the need to deal with bringing a car seat and it also keeps the kid towards the back of the seat which eliminates the ability to kick the seat in front of them. You can get them on amazon and they are the only FAA approved devices other than car seats to be used for airplanes. I would highly recommend using this. It keeps the child from moving around and they feel the typical confinement of the harness so they know they have to stay put. It also braces them properly for takeoff, landing and turbulence. Plus it fits right into your purse when you aren’t using the system. AND you can put the child in the middle without blocking egress. So easy and light. It will reduce so many frustrations for you and the child. Here is the amazon link: CARES AIRPLANE HARNESS ON AMAZON
Happy flying!!! ❤️💛💙
We have never had an issue with getting our 2 free bags + strollers/car seats. (Admittedly we don't have enough hands to carry that much luggage/babies) The website even states it is in addition to your free bags, double check next time.

Bonus! If you have a car seat bag you can stuff extra luggage in there if your main bags are overweight.
