I used this and a pair of snips to cut in into a longer rectangle. Installation wasn’t that bad but I did it in late 2018, so I don’t remember the details. I think it just slides in and is held by friction.

I ordered this newer version that is USB type c from Amazon so I could return it if there were issues. It works pretty well overall. There is some delay when changing songs, and it takes a little longer to connect, but it’s not that bad. I like carplay, but hated having to plug the phone in and this fixed that issue. We shall see how this works after a few weeks.

I got mine about 1.5 years ago, so I have the 2.0 version. There might be a better solution out by now, I haven’t looked since I bought this. The only downside at all is a .5 second delay when you use physical buttons, ie skip a song using the steering wheel controls. That aside it is awesome and everyone should have one. Turn on your car, it takes a few seconds to boot, and bam CarPlay without ever having to take your phone out of your pocket.

It comes with everything you need: * soap * sponge * tire shine * interior kit * glass cleaning * drying cloth * quick wax (super great) * bucket * microfiber towels

It leaves my car shinning like straight new. The quick wax is the cherry in the top. That link has the kit for around $85, but I bought it for like $45 or $50. Else, you can buy each part separately, perhaps you may safe money. Also, I suggest getting like 2 more drying cloths and a pack microfiber towels from Costco. They are super handy. k&n air filter cleaner This is what I use. I do mine Every other oil change or as needed if you go down a lot of dirt roads or other places that you’re sucking in a lot of dust.

Get a small handheld vacuum (meant for cars) and use these attachments to the hose. Those little brush vacuum tips are amazing. Gets the vents, under buttons, and dash super clean. I’ve used it for a few years.

The lock on your glove box can be easily defeated. You really want to use something like this.

Congratulations! If you have an iPhone and like using Apple CarPlay, you can get the “Carlinkit Garlin” adapter so you never have to plug in your phone to the USB. I’ve been using it for a few month because I like using Waze maps
