This is the one I currently have. It does not radiate heat but when something is sitting on it (a tortoise for example) it keeps them at a pretty comfortable temperature. It isn't pressure activated, it just keeps the warmth contained to the heat pad. When I point my thermometer gun at it, the temperature reads around 88 degrees Fahrenheit. The chord is protected with a wire wrap to keep them from chewing through it and the pad cleans easily. It is a plastic material, so when she messes on it, I can either wipe it clean or unplug it and rinse/scrub it with the hose and dry it.

He is the pickiest eater!!! I’ve tried tomato’s,zucchini,shredded carrots,rose petals ,hibiscus flowers, 4 different types of tortoise food and he will ONLY eat romaine lettuce and grass. I use mulch forest floor for his bedding.

All of those are fine. I feed my squash maybe 1-2 times a month.
