This is an alarm app that allows you to scan a QR code or barcode to turn off the alarm. I use this to wake up in the morning but you could totally incorporate this into taking your medication.
If your pill bottle doesn't have a barcode or QR code, Google QR code maker and print one out small enough to tape to your bottle. It's super easy and I think it'll totally help you take your medication on time (as long as you turn the snooze off on your alarm so you have to do it as soon as the alarm goes off)
Very, very similar history. I’m also not bipolar but have debilitating PTSD from childhood abuse. https://www.amazon.com/Saw-Devils-Face-Joseph-Michael-ebook/dp/B0B9RDH6FH. I have used the exact phrase “tsunami of thoughts” to describe Topamax turning it down to a kitchen sink that I can manage.
Yes, I was super angry 😠 for the first two or three weeks. I think it's because Topamax messes with your hormones.
Thankfully that passed and I don't feel so angry all the time. I skipped my period that first month too. Now my period is back but it's a lot lighter so I can tell things aren't back 100% but close enough.
One thing you can do is take lithium orotate. It's a supplement that I have taken in the past. It's been shown in studies to help with anger issues and it really does work!
I'm sorry to hear that. I've been doing some reading, & it sounds like 3 things that can possibly help lessen side effects, including the tingling, are hydration, potassium & magnesium. So I ordered this drink mix from Amazon & I'm gonna try to drink one spoonful of it with a bottle of water once a day & hopefully that will help. It's Raspberry lemonade flavor. The flavor isn't bad, but it's not really that strong (it mostly tasted like slightly off water to me) so I ended up tearing open a kool-aid packet that I had & mixing about a 1/4 teaspoon of kool-aid mix in with it as well.
Here's the link to the one I bought if you're interested in trying it out as well
