Hi r/warformed! So you might remember I posted here before for the self pub version of COMBAT CODES. But it got acquired last spring by my absolute favorite publisher, Orbit Books, and we've been working hard ever since to take this to the next level.
I just wanted to drop in and show off the new cover and tell you a bit about what's new :)
This book has had multiple iterations with multiple covers, and I truly believe this upcoming version is the best. It's amazing I've had the opportunity to incorporate reader feedback over the past few years (along with Orbit editor feedback) to truly bring the story to the next level. This version has 30K extra words full of unique worldbuilding, character dev, and of course intense action scenes.

Not sure if you heard, but Amazon pulled the Bastion ebook last Friday and blocked the file so I couldn't make the requested edits. That left me spinning out, calling KDP, escalating to management, only to be told nothing could be done till Monday when their content review team would return.
Which wasn't ideal. You guys know that indie authors live and die by the Amazon algorithm, so having the book yanked was a serious blow. Worse, I'd heard of folks taking weeks if not months to resolve this exact issue, so... yeah. Fun times.
The reason I'm posting here is 'cause the book's available once more, and if you've been thinking of giving it a try,I'd really appreciate your grabbing a copy to help nudge the algorithm into noticing Bastion once more.

I've been requested to plug my works by u/kirbydabear so here I am. I'm a full-time autor, and you might know of my two most popular series - the System Apocalypse (Apocalyptic LitRPG) and A Thousand Li (xianxia).
Let me tell you about the most recent works for them.
The System Apocalypse - System Finale is releasing on March 1 and is book 12. It's also the final book in this LitRPG series, having taken John Lee from the wilds of the Yukon all the way to the inner galaxy. Now, all he has to do is escape captivity before he can answer the final question - What is the System?
Answering that, however, will change everything.
A Thousand Li: the Second Storm is the sixth book of the ATL series released on December 1. It follows Long Wu Ying's journey from peasant to immortal cultivator, with the most recent installment bringing to a conclusion Wu Ying's involvement in the war between the kingdoms of Shen and Wei.
I remember that (although I forgot until now)!!! And once again, Chekov's Gun comes into play... Well done Bryce... Well done!
But I'm still confused about all the actual competitions first years' could participate in.
Goodreads is weird, cant figure out which instance is the right one, but this is He Who Fights with Monsters. I read it last week. Damn good book actually and its serialized adventures which was a nice change of pace.
