There’s instructions here on how to update the firmware: https://support.empresseffects.com/support/solutions/articles/1000275389-updating-firmware-on-the-zoia-latest-version-1-13-
You need to format the SD card as FAT32. The link above has another link to a card formatter you can use to do so. There is a downloadable manual for the formatter program on this website as well. That should get you sorted back out: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
Good luck!
Here's the phantom power box: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B088WG16JH
Cables: xlr > phantom power, then xlr > ts
Signal path: I've been testing this using what seems to be a default setup, with input (left) > delay > output (left). When trying out a module that seems like it might boost the signal, I put it between the input and delay. Sound goes through the delay if I sing with the mic basically inside my mouth, but it certainly can't pick up the sound from my piano for example.
Couple of options:
I helped develop a librarian app for managing, downloading, viewing, and organizing patches - see here: https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib. There’s also a sticky thread at the top of the subreddit with details.
A few folks have used SD to USB extension cords to make the process a little easier, like this one on Amazon. I have not used it myself so I cannot comment on its durability or performance. It’s cheap enough to give it a shot though.
As for seeing a USB/Bluetooth hardware add-on, I seriously doubt it.

All you need to add to the wrong cable you purchased is a polarity reversing adapter cable such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/SoulBay-Reverse-Polarity-Converter-Guitar/dp/B075R64SCQ/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=polarity+reverse+adapter+cable&qid=1624412040&sr=8-3
Zoia still works fine so far. I was unaware of center positive and negative as something to pay attention to. Are most devices center negative? I currently have a ZOIA, deluge, and a few other devices powered by one of these. Is that bad? And for the mobile setup, do I need a different battery, or is it probably only the myvolts cable that was the problem?
Thanks for the reply. I missed it i guess, bought it on a whim lol
i bought this one from amazon also on a whim. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XKSBVQB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
