I also bought a thermal pad for the p41.
The front line is not exposed to heat. There is the battery beneath it. If it got that hot that it melted glue, your battery is toast.
Probably just another QC issue and they didn't even glued it properly on.
So.. a few options that come to my mind:

Option 1) RMA it (takes some time)
Option 2) Purchase a replacement bottom plate (rather expensive)

Ill have to look into the USB c charger. Interesting as I've never heard of it. I have the stock one and it does fine but id like to see the pros/cons of the USB c one as well.
my tomtoc case/sleeve is pretty snug, and fits just right.

Should be. It's just hard to get the website for another country sometimes. Just google for the ROG 100W USB-C charger and look for the ASUS eStore. Don't buy a 100W charger from amazon or ebay from random brands. Most of them are a fire hazard at best.

As for the sleeve... I have an old sleeve that I bought for my MacBook in 2013. This thing fits the M16 perfectly.
Most 15" sleeves will fit. Get one with a soft interior and padding around the zipper lines (if they have any).

Something like this should work. There are gazillions of sleeves out there. Check the dimensions whether they fit the M16. Most sleeves have the dimensions of the inside listed.

It shows $58 now, which is more than i paid for it. I think it was under $50 for me, like 48.
The surface is like leather and the mouse moves great on it. The legs are aluminum and telescope a few different heights.
The table also tilts towards you and its great to hang in bed with this over your legs.
It also has a little side tray that opens up and was big enough to hold my mouse and some other stuff.
Lastly, it has this little peice of plastic, like a oval looking thing that slides into this notch. Its there to keep the laptop from sliding off the table. It slides back and forth across a large portion of the table allowing you to put the laptop where you need it, or if youre a lefty, etc.
Overall i love it and it was a great purchase.

The pro was on sale, but i hang out on slickdeals when im looking for a deal on those types of things. Id advise the same, just search for m2 gen4 and then pick what you need. Price is directly associated with performance so expect to pay more accordingly.
However, Western Digital just announced a new SSD, m2 gen4. Its the 850X ( X being the new nomenclature ). I have the 850 in my ps5 and it screams. the 850X is supposed to be a bit better but its gonna cost a lot when it comes out.

Ram: Corsair 32gb DDR5. Its at 310 right now and i know i paid less. But it works, its solid and its corsair with micron chips. Cant go wrong. And ddr5 so-dimms arent like everywhere just yet so expect to pay a bit unless you can wait till summer or so.

I didn't have issues at first, plug and play, but last night it wouldn't boot. I checked everything, I swapped everything back to OEM and it booted fine. So I don't know what changed on my end. But, I returned the Fury and based on someone else's recommendation here, I ordered the crucial instead.
I didnt get a sleeve per se, but a case.. but its thin and fits perfectly. It has a handle, a strap, 2 side pockets, and feels built like it was made for this laptop.
Cant say enough good things about it, and its absolutely fantastic.

Most sleeves for the 15" (pre-2016)/16" Retina macbook also fit the M16. I have an older sleeve that I bought for my 2013 15" MBP (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0036SRK7Y/). Fits perfectly for the M16.
Sleeves for the new 16" M1 MacBook also fit the M16 pretty well. The newer MacBooks are rather thick and not much thinner than the M16 (if you ignore the little lift at the rear on the M16).

I just use some iso alcohol to lightly clean my hand rest area and it cleans it nicely and leaves no weird rubbery sticky stuff i know that of which you are talking about as i have had that on other devices.
Im hoping that over time it doesn't do that.
If it does, i plan on just buying a "skin" and laying the skin over the part of the inside of the laptop. Maybe a flat black or maybe sometime cooler like carbon fibre or whatever.
For now, i just ordered when i got the laptop a keyboard cover so i don't get all sorts of junk in the keys. The last years keyboard cover worked well and was like 7 or 9 bucks from amazon and is made of TPU material. Its easy to remove and then put back in place it stays where its put and does everything i need it to do.
For me at least, it was a great addition. Again, if the palm area gets all weird from use, ill just skin in from one of the sites out there that have skins for the laptop. I wont skin the whole laptop as i think it looks fantastic as it is, but again if the inside palm rests get weird then ill skin it and problem solved. Skins for that area are only like 20 bucks and if you are worried now, you could just skin it now and not have to worry about it basically forever.

I used this cable on my PC for the C1 which didn't had a HDMI 2.1 port. You can use that with a good USB-C to DP adapter. Make sure that the USB-C adatper can supply power to the DP out because the DP->HDMI adapter is active.

I suggest transporting the power brick with you, and leaving a standard ac power cable plugged in at the home and office. Leave the female-end above your desk and easily accessible. It's the same cable as the one for your standard PC or monitor, so I'm sure you have some spare ones lying around. Example link below:

This is at least how I have it set up around my home. I have a power cable set up at my desk, under the couch, and by my bed. A lot less fuss to move locations if I unplug the brick from the extension cable rather than the wall outlet.

Don't confuse dual channel and dual rank memory - they are different things. And don't obsess over memory too much - it doesn't matter much, I ran a 16GB 2666 module for a while and the difference you'll never notice.

If you installed 2 HDDs you would be replacing the main one so you'd have to reinstall. I think you could potentially image your old one though? I haven't done that so I'm not sure.
They said a while back they didn't have plans to release the 3070 one in the US. Not sure why.
