I believe the max is 40gb via a 32gb stick. According to another user, it shouldn't effect the dual channel up to 16gb. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZLC7VNH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
edit: btw if you actually meant video memory, it's 6gb on the videocard and not upgradeable
Hey, no heatsink, used only the pads.
6 months of use and my experience has been great! No overheating during normal use.

I live in spain, but you should be able to find the same wherever you are.
i'm using this laptop stand which is adjustable for thickness:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0899X59RV/
i use it with the laptop open and an ipad pro 11" for a dual monitor setup away from home.
Not the exact same, can't find it anymore. But similar: https://www.amazon.com/VViViD-Black-Carbon-Release-Technology/dp/B00FXYG1VU/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=1MUOYKU353TDL&keywords=carbon+vinyl+wrap&qid=1661146992&sprefix=carbon+vinyl+wrap+%2Caps%2C263&sr=8-8
Sure thing! Crucial RAM 32GB DDR5 4800MHz... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09RVNMGFH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
P41 (near, if not, fastest pcie4): SK hynix Platinum P41 1TB PCIe... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QX6SL2Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I also bought a thermal pad for the p41.
The front line is not exposed to heat. There is the battery beneath it. If it got that hot that it melted glue, your battery is toast.
Probably just another QC issue and they didn't even glued it properly on.
So.. a few options that come to my mind:

Option 1) RMA it (takes some time)
Option 2) Purchase a replacement bottom plate (rather expensive)
Option 3) try to remove the adhesive and put some good double sided tape on it and glue it back on. I wouldn't use super glue or any other liquid glue. You could use something like this https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09C6KK9PG/
not official but i reccomend the tomtoc case for this laptop.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0799FGHSK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
great product and very well made. pockets for power supply and mouse.
Ill have to look into the USB c charger. Interesting as I've never heard of it. I have the stock one and it does fine but id like to see the pros/cons of the USB c one as well.
my tomtoc case/sleeve is pretty snug, and fits just right.
Not too big nor too tight. Has a strap for the shoulder and a few pockets on the outside for the psu and mouse i use.
love it.
here's a link to the one i purchased:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0799FGHSK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Should be. It's just hard to get the website for another country sometimes. Just google for the ROG 100W USB-C charger and look for the ASUS eStore. Don't buy a 100W charger from amazon or ebay from random brands. Most of them are a fire hazard at best.

As for the sleeve... I have an old sleeve that I bought for my MacBook in 2013. This thing fits the M16 perfectly.
Most 15" sleeves will fit. Get one with a soft interior and padding around the zipper lines (if they have any).

https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08RYFFL9T
Something like this should work. There are gazillions of sleeves out there. Check the dimensions whether they fit the M16. Most sleeves have the dimensions of the inside listed.
M16 dimensions are:
13.98 x 9.57 x 0.78 (inches)
35.5 x 24.3 x 1.99 (cm)
I am using this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082R5S1MP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 since April and pretty much satisfied with it. It also works great with work type-c (no thunderbolt) laptop.
I used Crucial 4800 CL40 - timings are the same as the onboard RAM. I tried Kingston Fury, but returned it because the laptop would not boot.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09S2MN8JH?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details&th=1
I got this
parts-quick 32GB Memory for ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (2022) GX650RX, GX650RS, GX650RW, GX650RM Compatible DDR5 PC5-4800 SODIMM RAM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VB41YS2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_T1GG1PFVHVMJ1SAHMJTG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Same model, M16 w/ 12900 and 3070ti and 16GB. I replaced one stick with supposedly Samsung but not 100% sure brand DDR5 4800 (and paid a fat price for it). www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09VB41YS2
Memory Mark results:
Most Thunderbolt hubs are backwards compatible as normal usb c hub so the Thunderbolt hub *should* work.
A simple USB C adapter will suffice too probably. I use something like this and had great results:

I ordered this Spiegen GaN USB C charger from Amazon to keep in my bag (although I got it on sale).
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08V54SXNZ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Yeah, no problem.
And yes, it is absolutely fantastic. I love it.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086WBDX6Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
It shows $58 now, which is more than i paid for it. I think it was under $50 for me, like 48.
The surface is like leather and the mouse moves great on it. The legs are aluminum and telescope a few different heights.
The table also tilts towards you and its great to hang in bed with this over your legs.
It also has a little side tray that opens up and was big enough to hold my mouse and some other stuff.
Lastly, it has this little peice of plastic, like a oval looking thing that slides into this notch. Its there to keep the laptop from sliding off the table. It slides back and forth across a large portion of the table allowing you to put the laptop where you need it, or if youre a lefty, etc.
Overall i love it and it was a great purchase.
a more expensive alternative incase anyone is worried with the 850's thermals: 2TB 980 pro is also on sale, for $30 more than the SN850
2022 ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 G533ZS-DS94 (i9-12900H, 16GB RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, RTX 3080 8GB, 15.6" QHD 240Hz 3ms, Windows 11) Gaming Notebook https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WQDMWCW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QT31T8HN4F6RS5QAJJ15
A cheap one I bought on Amazon: Laptop stand
It's fine if you don't expect a rock solid anti seismic one, and you can carry it easily in your backup.
Sure! Its a corsair module with micron chips i got off amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09RVNMGFH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Its at 229 right now. It was just at like 300 bucks i think so this is a good price.
case is fantastic. I love it. Its like it was made for this laptop.
another good item to get is a tpu keyboard protector.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XXP83LQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
8 bucks, and it fits this model perfectly. Like exact.
crucial, yep. 32gb stick from amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09RVNMGFH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
but i didnt pay what its at now for it. I want to say it was like 280 or less. cant recall.
The pro was on sale, but i hang out on slickdeals when im looking for a deal on those types of things. Id advise the same, just search for m2 gen4 and then pick what you need. Price is directly associated with performance so expect to pay more accordingly.
However, Western Digital just announced a new SSD, m2 gen4. Its the 850X ( X being the new nomenclature ). I have the 850 in my ps5 and it screams. the 850X is supposed to be a bit better but its gonna cost a lot when it comes out.
Ill post links for what i bought anyhow though:
980pro ( currently at 269.99 for 2tb which isnt bad as they usually are more like 299 ) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08RK2SR23/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Ram: Corsair 32gb DDR5. Its at 310 right now and i know i paid less. But it works, its solid and its corsair with micron chips. Cant go wrong. And ddr5 so-dimms arent like everywhere just yet so expect to pay a bit unless you can wait till summer or so.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09RVNMGFH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I got a case, but its super thin. I also got a tpu keyboard protector thats super thin and keeps the keyboard free of just daily junk that gets in there.
The case i got is:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0799FGHSK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
keyboard tpu cover:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XXP83LQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Keyboard cover fits perfect. Says its for all sorts of laptops but it works perfectly and fits exact for this model and year.
Congratulations on your purchase! I recommend getting a keyboard cover and (depending on your needs) an external SSD. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZNJV9BJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_12A959NC0WQRPHGR6P2D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XKMYCBB/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_R3MZKG9S9FPZ13MTCY9A
I didn't have issues at first, plug and play, but last night it wouldn't boot. I checked everything, I swapped everything back to OEM and it booted fine. So I don't know what changed on my end. But, I returned the Fury and based on someone else's recommendation here, I ordered the crucial instead.
I didnt get a sleeve per se, but a case.. but its thin and fits perfectly. It has a handle, a strap, 2 side pockets, and feels built like it was made for this laptop.
Cant say enough good things about it, and its absolutely fantastic.
37 bucks with 10% off right now
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0799FGHSK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got a slightly larger one than the other guy posted but its so i can use it in bed and have space underneath on a desk etc.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086WBDX6Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Love it.
Most sleeves for the 15" (pre-2016)/16" Retina macbook also fit the M16. I have an older sleeve that I bought for my 2013 15" MBP (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0036SRK7Y/). Fits perfectly for the M16.
Sleeves for the new 16" M1 MacBook also fit the M16 pretty well. The newer MacBooks are rather thick and not much thinner than the M16 (if you ignore the little lift at the rear on the M16).
P.S This one has been mentioned a couple times, so if anybody has thoughts about it it would help:
I am using this stand from Amazon. It works okay! I just wish it could raise the laptop another inch or two. Maybe I'll just put a book under it lol.
I use this hub with my 2022 to drive 3x 4k/60hz monitors. it says currently unavailable on Amazon, but a search for that product might work.
Plugable 12-in-1 USB C Docking Station Triple Monitor, Triple 4K Displays with 3X HDMI or 3X DisplayPort, Compatible with Mac, Windows, Thunderbolt 3 & 4, USB4, USB-C (60W PD, 6X USB Ports, Ethernet) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NQQ1G1N/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_6S8NA970TM3M99CZHC0H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just use some iso alcohol to lightly clean my hand rest area and it cleans it nicely and leaves no weird rubbery sticky stuff i know that of which you are talking about as i have had that on other devices.
Im hoping that over time it doesn't do that.
If it does, i plan on just buying a "skin" and laying the skin over the part of the inside of the laptop. Maybe a flat black or maybe sometime cooler like carbon fibre or whatever.
For now, i just ordered when i got the laptop a keyboard cover so i don't get all sorts of junk in the keys. The last years keyboard cover worked well and was like 7 or 9 bucks from amazon and is made of TPU material. Its easy to remove and then put back in place it stays where its put and does everything i need it to do.
For me at least, it was a great addition. Again, if the palm area gets all weird from use, ill just skin in from one of the sites out there that have skins for the laptop. I wont skin the whole laptop as i think it looks fantastic as it is, but again if the inside palm rests get weird then ill skin it and problem solved. Skins for that area are only like 20 bucks and if you are worried now, you could just skin it now and not have to worry about it basically forever.
the keyboard cover i bought that covers the keys for those interested is from amazon and cost me $7.19. TPu and washable.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XXP83LQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used this cable on my PC for the C1 which didn't had a HDMI 2.1 port. You can use that with a good USB-C to DP adapter. Make sure that the USB-C adatper can supply power to the DP out because the DP->HDMI adapter is active.
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0994FPCMD
Gsync/Adaptivesync doesn't work though. But 4K 120Hz 10bit with HDR is no problem.
I currently have my 2nd SSD running without a pad - no issues. I'm considering getting this one sometime later:
Laptop NVMe M.2 Heatsink with Nano Thermal Pads,Heat Sink Copper for 2280 M2 SSD Laptop (2pcs) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07YC1HTFR/
I don't think your laptop wants creamy chicken rice. In any case, this keyboard cover should be compatible with the 2022 M16. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DK253RT/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_1SWZEJ6YW7G6KJ1REDGD
I suggest transporting the power brick with you, and leaving a standard ac power cable plugged in at the home and office. Leave the female-end above your desk and easily accessible. It's the same cable as the one for your standard PC or monitor, so I'm sure you have some spare ones lying around. Example link below:
Amazon Basics Computer Monitor TV Replacement Power Cord - 3-Foot, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072BYGKZW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_9550STYG6K3B2723S9F8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is at least how I have it set up around my home. I have a power cable set up at my desk, under the couch, and by my bed. A lot less fuss to move locations if I unplug the brick from the extension cable rather than the wall outlet.
Hope that helps!
I got a nice bed laptop stand that is pretty slick, cost about 50 bucks.
Surface is like this faux leather and the legs are aluminum legs that are way stable and telescope up and down and the surface tilts and ithas like this lil slide out hide away holder thing i stash my galaxy buds pro + or whatever they are in, as well as the extra mouse cable from my logtech g502 mouse
I use the stand with a 2022 m16 btw. Its a 16 inch laptop (supposedly in a 15 inch case or some shit ). I don't care really its ust a fast ass laptop and the stand works great.
Heres a link for it:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086WBDX6Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
runs $56.99 but IMHO is worth every penny. Legs can telescope independent from each other so if you need one a bit higher than the other, that's fine,
Enough space for the laptop and the mouse and great for gaming, teams, etc.
And the leather surface cleans easily and the mouse glides just fine across it and everything just works on it.
If you laptop in bed id highly recommend it as it works fantastic.
This is the one I use each day. It is holding up very well!

Hey,I got it off Amazon though it seems to be out of stock now. Try spamming this link: https://www.amazon.ae/Zephyrus-GU603ZW-K8024W-14Core-GeForce-RTX3070-Backlit-RGB-Eng-Arb-KB/dp/B09R9T4ZTK/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2DG0ZWIKNEL1H&keywords=asus+rog+m16+2022&qid=1646519773&sprefix=asus+rog+m16+202%2Caps%2C193&sr=8-1 . You might get it when its back in stock. There was also another company but I can't seem to remember its name. You can try googling this exact model directly and may give you some hit. I saw some Shopkees website from Qatar that potentially could deliver to Dubai. Try this model number: GU603ZW-K8024W

Drivers were automatically installed by windows once the hardware was recognized.

Userbenchmark identifies the soldered onboard 8GB RAM as Samsung M471A1K43DB1-CWE...
https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/dram/module/M471A1K43DB1-CWE/
It is the only program I've found that gives us a clue of what is the soldered RAM. 32GB 3200 1.2V memory is the best you can do for upgrades. This is what I used...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZLC7VNH
Don't confuse dual channel and dual rank memory - they are different things. And don't obsess over memory too much - it doesn't matter much, I ran a 16GB 2666 module for a while and the difference you'll never notice.
I was indeed, thanks for your well thought out reply.
I'm thinking Kingston Fury Impact should probably fit our needs well.
I believe the 2nd slot is gen 3. Make sure to get a heatsink for it.
If you installed 2 HDDs you would be replacing the main one so you'd have to reinstall. I think you could potentially image your old one though? I haven't done that so I'm not sure.
They said a while back they didn't have plans to release the 3070 one in the US. Not sure why.
It will also depend on the cable you are using. Some cables will not support full 100W charging. I bought a tester Type-C USB Tester https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QGFMZVG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The best cable I have will do 92W. Others are limited 60W etc. I only have one 100W USB C Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CV99QWD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Perhaps with the right cable and charger, you could do full 100W
In the reviews for that card, I read that "NETELY", the seller, was occasionally shipping counterfeit cards. I went ahead and ordered this one from Intel: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZVYKRW9/ - which says 'desktop kit' but I think that's just because it comes with the antenna. Looking forward to testing myself.
This 16 inch one fits mine nice and snug. It's also super soft on the inside and nice and water resistant on the outside
