Hey, mate. I got a Nikon Aculon A211 10x50 6.5º and I would highly recommend it. It's compact and does the job really well.
The first time I got it I couldn't stop looking at bloody trees. Then one night there was a full moon and I decided to go out in the parking lot to try it out. Never have I seen the moon in such detail using a device I could carry with one hand. One of the best purchases I've made this year!
well I just realized that I have the 15x as opposed to the 25x (my bad lmao) so I guess I can't really be of much help, however as far as tripods go most of them should work, and while you probably don't have to spend this much on a tripod I got this as a nice multipurpose one.
So sorry I can't really answer your questions about the 25x (again my bad) but if you get either or I'm sure you won't be dissapointed since if the 25 is anything like my 15 it'll be well built.
