Voting for evictions costs actual money (yes, seriously) so that's not really possible.
Online voting is possible with a UK VPN to make it look like you're located in the UK - WindScribe has a free version with 50 GB of usage.
I've got an android phone (Galaxy S3) and the wife has an iPad mini. Near as I can tell there is no official Channel 5 android app. There is an iPad app though.
I too torrent the episodes. I'm usually at work when they air live, so I don't mind the delay. I do miss out on the UK commercials which can be fun sometimes.
I'll look into DNS switcher. Thanks for the tip. On my PC, I sometimes use TunnelBear to watch video from the channel 5 website. The free version doesn't give you very much bandwidth, but I've found if you start the video while on the UK proxy, you can turn dropbear off and it will send you video to your US (or wherever) IP. You have to get the timing right. It seems like it has to be after the request is made for the video, but before the video actually starts streaming.
