I bought this from Costco on sale .. it works great .. lyk hb and desaturation and time ..
This one lasts me about 4 to 5 years .. works great . Make sure your arm is level with the bottom of your heart. I also got a wall adapter to save on batteries.
Beet juice and reducing nicotine did a lot for me. https://www.amazon.com/Superfood-Circulation-Supplement-Force-Factor/dp/B098PRLS17/ref=asc_df_B098PRLS17/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=632115487651&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15766467103438818432&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hv... I started taking daily a year ago and it works great here’s an article about it there’s also been many studies where it worked better than prescription medicine
Study show those with high blood, pressure and more likely to be vitamin D, deficient, however, there’s no study that shows vitamin D actually lowers blood pressure.. however, there are other supplements that can be helpful according to studies. Not to self promote but if you have kindle unlimited you can get my “Natural Approaches to Blood pressure” book for FREE… Natural Approach to High Blood Pressure https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BK3FDFJG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_X9BCMK071GSZR80P1G5F
I had no idea I had it.. I had hypopnea breathing. Desaturations making me wake up from adrenaline response. When I went to the ER with 225/110 bp I fell asleep on the Gurnee and my sp02 dipped to 83.
So next I got my PCP to order a sleep study. I couldn't wait 4 months for the appointment. So I bought a sp02 watch specifically made for sleep apnea from Amazon and confirmed my hr was spiking with sp02 dipping.. then I bought a ResMed AirSense 10 autoset Apap machine and set it in Apap mode and had the best sleep of my life. Only getting up once to take a piss as opposed to 5 times.
Still had my sleep study.. was redundant.
This is the watch
I did a lab study. Doctors ordered. But there is a few places that do at home for sub 600 dollars .
This watch does by the second readings
If your dipping sp02 while getting increased hr then you have apnea .. this won't tell you the kind of apnea.. and this won't detect uars breathing and rera breathing.
Having a EEG will show if you have sleep stage progression issues also. Lmk if you want a link for a test .
Bp increases at night from hormones also . Insulin release and cortisol. COVID is making people have weird BP issues too. Getting a sPO2 watch like this one
This will lyk if you're having periodic breathing . I did and didn't know.
You can always get a sleep study afterwards if need be. And return the watch. If it continues it's the next thing to look into .
I use the powder. There is also a tablet form, however I believe the dosage is higher than recommended in the paper.
https://www.amazon.com/Panchaveda-Serpentina-Sarpagandha-Hyypertension-Supplement/dp/B0B5MY6B4P/ref=sr_1_6
The taste is terrible. I've hidden it in a smoothie.
Yes weed helps the veins relax and be flexible. Beet juice helps work like weed does.. I drink 8oz per day .. I have sleep apnea and probably did when I was your age too.. I sleep perfectly with a Apap machine now..
It's all about completing sleep cycles.. hypoxia from apnea causes a adrenaline response and that causes hbp and awakenings that stop sleep cycles.
This watch from Amazon will tell you if your dipping your sp02 and if you get a high heart rate when doing so .
This watch does measurements by the second. I used it to start my doctors to get me a sleep study .
Sleep apnea also kills Testosterone production
I bought an OMRON monitor. Here's the link to my model. I bought it based on the recommendation of my general practitioner. I took readings with it over 10 days then took it into the doctor's office. We took a reading with it in the office, then took a reading with their own machine. The readings with the OMRON and my doctor's blood pressure monitor were THE SAME. It's a high-quality device at a fair price.
Where do you get your hibiscus tea from? I bought a big bag from amazon and may have gotten it too cheap
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PBSCTJK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can buy a Sphygmomanometer kit off Amazon and other places and test it yourself. I didn't find any variance when using it on myself vs having someone else do it.
However I found my results by doing it manually vary about the same as my automatic machine. How much you move, rest, breathe, etc all have an effect. I did it manually for a month or so and then just switched back to my automatic monitor.
Here's the set I use: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WGQ2ZKG
I have hereditary high BP. I do CrossFit 2-3 times a week and I have 150/100. Can't imagine what it would be without exercise.
I've seen it go down some recently with restricted breathing exercises using a cheap device I got on Amazon. https://amazon.com/dp/B08XYYBHJT/
It's called "Heart Calm" - you can get it on Amazon - it's been quite good for my PVCs - in fact I barely have any now.

I've had the "OMRON Evolv Bluetooth Wireless Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor with Portable, One-piece Design – Works with Alexa" for 2 years and I love it. The Omron app you get on your Smartphone really gives you all the data history you need along with some nice charts to display the data. It automatically downloads to the app with Bluetooth when you take a blood pressure reading. The app allows you to send the data in excel, pdf, or CSV formats to your computer several ways including email.
This is the one I bought just a few weeks ago. It has worked really well well. Seems to be accurate, easy to use, and easy to synch the readings with my phone. Definitely recommend.

See if you can buy this
Go to sleep with it and see if your hypoxic while sleeping
High blood pressure is called a silent killer for the very reason it has no symptoms, yet long term high blood pressure increases your risk of a major cardiac event (heart attack, stroke, death etc).
Now this doesn't mean you have high blood pressure, but most certainly feeling fine doesnt mean everything is fine, again it's a silent killer.
I'd order a blood pressure cuff on Amazon like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WCQVV71/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_TJ3MX4RTPC2NSWM1JZNH
See what kind of readings you are getting at home when completely relaxed. If you are regularly getting readings of 140+, medication is recommended to lower your risk of developing heart disease.
I can’t find why this is not more popular but I’m taking Divya Mukta Vati and it’s miraculously lowered my BP from avg 145/95 to 115/75 in less than a week.
dr.s best https://www.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Absorption-Magnesium-Glycinate/dp/B000BD0RT0/ 2/200mg twice a day, thou i only take 2 once a day now since i don't get constant PVCs
This would be the easiest to see if you have a form of apnea that causes hypoxia. You can return it afterwards. But it won't show rera breathing and uars breathing awakening.. 337 is pretty low testosterone. Rona causes low testosterone too.. wondering if the sleep issue from Rona also makes the low testosterone.. we only make testosterone when sleeping properly. Completing sleep cycles makes LH . Peaks at morning.
It after the 110days or little more your labs should be lower for hct.. if not then time for the watch or a home sleep study or lab.
How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease
Not a recipe book, but helpful nutrition suggestions.

That one by Brenda Marino looks promising. 1,000 recipes. Each one gives sodium info, which is very helpful.
Right now I am mostly looking for books via Table of Contents. I prefer chapter divisions by food type (poultry, beans, etc). Usually I know I want to make (for example) salmon, but not sure how I'm going to prepare it to keep it healthy but new and tasty. So I just go to the seafood chapter.
I've mostly been just collecting books based off table of contents. I barely started bookmarking. Upfront I'm looking for "easy" recipes. I can cook good meals, but I don't have a cook's intuition, especially on spices, marinades, etc.
I am leaning toward creating a collection of spice, rubs, marinades, dressings. Those are what mostly make a dish. We all know what chicken, salmon, etc. tastes like. Trying to keep it interesting and varied is the hard part. I am not good enough to taste something and think "needs another teaspoon of cumin". Hoping to get there.
And when you are trying to minimize or even cut out completely, salt, butter and oil/fats, it creates a real challenge for an amateur cook.
What is serious is not being able to recall. Because when it becomes routine, that is exactly what will happen.
Run, don't walk to buy a pill organizer.

Nothing special, but I like BPA free, 3 compartments per day and I can take out each day to carry with me instead of taking the whole thing with me. Can literally fit in my pocket.
My phone has daily alarms for:
As far as what to do now, I believe if it has only been a couple of hours, you can still take it and back on track at the normal time tomorrow. If you are closer to the next dose than the missed dose, then you just skip it and move on.

I've been considering buying this:
It has 12 of the 15 Mrs. Dash no salt blends. Only missing
It isn't cheap at almost $2 an ounce. But we are talking your health, so it is an actual investment.
From there, I'd just work backwards. Try them all on my salmon and chicken dishes. Take notes on which I liked the best.
Then I would start with my favorite Mrs. Dash seasoning. Look at the ingredients and experiment with making it myself.
I'm just really "dumb" when it comes to creating spice combos by myself.
In the short term, I've gone crazy with lemon juice and garlic as a marinade. And then some original Mrs. Dash on top of that. I will get tired of that quickly, so I really need to figure this stuff out.
In terms of something that actually addresses that "salt" urge, I haven't found anything close. Original Dash really isn't a salt replacement. So if I have a recipe with salt, I'm really changing the taste of the recipe as opposed to finding something that comes very close to the original taste with the salt.
Potassium chloride is mentioned, but I haven't tried it. I hear it has a metallic taste. I'd really love to hear which no (or low) sodium spice best mimics salt.
Congrats!
I've been doing something similar and lately added an increased daily water intake, (78 to 130 oz), and noticed it had a similar BP lowering effect. That way if I do ingest sodium any excess will be removed from my system quickly. It seems to be working ok so far.
I also was discussing this with my boss, (a heart attack survivor), and he mentioned to me a great salt free seasoning he's purchased through Costco, be Engage Organics. I've included the Amazon link as well as a foodbevg listing for them.
However, the seasoning isn't sold by Amazon any longer, and their website isn't up. Maybe someone here knows what happened to them? (Costco doesn't list it on their website)
Good Luck

Yes. I bought this one the day after the journal article came out that this news article is based on.
Yes, I believe it's helping.
Because I have sleep apnea and was causing hbp. I got it fixed with a Apap machine.
This watch will lyk if your going hypoxic with increased heart rate. After you get it save all the packaging and return it afterwards if need be.
Or get a sleep study .. make sure it has EEG ability.
Lmk if you need help with finding a machine . ResMed AirSense 10 autoset and Oscar sleep software will diy you everything.

So odds are your having some sort of sleep quality issues.. like sleep apnea. Because it is lowering on its own you don't need meds.. you need to figure out why it's higher in morning than in evening.
If you can buy this watch it will help shed some light on your sp02 numbers and heart rate.. if by chance your dipping below 90 sp02 with a increased heart rate while asleep then odds are you have some sort or periodic breathing issue..
Save all the packaging and return it afterwards if need be.
Lmk if you need help .. I've been down this road a few times with people.
I know Hibiscus 🌺Tea helps! It has a lot of good components in it -medication is very important when treating high blood pressure. I didn’t want to overwhelm my parent who has high blood pressure with so much medication so I tried to find a good middle where Hibiscus tea can be a part of their nutrition. Here is the one I got from Amazon and I got this reccomendation from someone on this thread. Organic Hibiscus Tea Bags | 100 Tea Bags | Eco-Conscious Tea Bags in Kraft Bag | Raw from Egypt | by FGO https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ND51YPC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XGK9F66PM2QY5T46EFER
BPM is not rocket science, most of the devices do the job, it really depends on the algorithm behind the large volume of clinical data as the sensor it used is basically a pressure sensor which is not the differentiator. wrist monitor has unbeatable convenience comparing to arm cuff ones, and remember, blood pressure tracking is a very important part of blood pressure management for most people with moderate hypertension issues. I post the model I sell on amazon here, but it's up to you to decide, please don't consider I am spamming.
Just as a follow up for anyone like myself also looking for large cuff units, Amazon now appears to be offering this as a bundle. https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Pressure-Monitor-Upper-Inches/dp/B08B8QFNZN
No clue..
You could buy this and save all the packaging and just return it afterwards
This will not show all sleep apnea like rera and uars breathing..
Or buy this and get a prescription with it
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XKWC1TL/ref=emc_b_5_mob_t
You can't return this.
Lmk if you need help.
Ok, yeah just different pharmacy's way on bottle; it's usually prescribed as a combo; and the hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which gets the excess fluid out of your blood reducing the pressure, while the lisinopril helps the veins/arteries relax, again reducing pressure. The diuretic helps a lot but as it flushes excess fluids out reducing sodium is good, but also reduces potassium which is not good, so upping your intake is a good idea. 3-4 bananas a day probably easiest. I take a powdered supplement which I can't recommend and you need to take just a certain amount, like 1/4tsp before a heavy meal as it can be hard on the intestines (commonly seen in stores as salt substitute, though I take citrate form. Another important thing about thiazide diuretics is they've been shown to increase risk of developing skin cancer so starting at such a young age, if you can take another route like increasing exercise, reducing salt intake and maybe cut out the alcohol, would be good alternate path, though I know that may not be realistic goal, just putting it out there.
>that require sitting (reading/TV)
Not at all, friend! It's harder during COVID times because you may not be able or willing to go to a gym, but if you can get a treadmill or elliptical or stationary bike (you can get good ones for around $600), you can do these things while working out. For TV, there will be holders you can place your phone on; and for books, either use a kindle or get one of these.
Good luck!
A little bit late but I read a review on Amazon and he said the Omron Evolv can connect directly to the S Health app without Omron connect. Is it true and available with Apple Health? Thanks.
Prior to me being on my APAP machine my wife would tell me my legs would do a funny dance routine. Kind of like a dog would do when in deep sleep.. but I wasn't in deep sleep It was within 10 to 20 minutes.
This device right here will track if your SPO2 is dipping and with an increased heart rate as well as it has a motion detection. You can zoom in on any part to the second. This will only tell you if you're having desaturations and increased heart rate meaning adrenaline rushes.
This watch will not tell you if you're having micro arousals from things like restless leg syndrome or uars breathing.
This device is a one-time use I have not used it before but it will catch other types of sleep apnea as well as it will get you a prescription for a machine
https://www.amazon.com/Home-Sleep-Apnea-Diagnostic-Machine/dp/B089ZLPYCS
If you get the first watch and you are positive for desaturation you could just show your doctor that and that will get the ball rolling.
Good luck I would much rather sleep better and on a machine then have to use a pharmaceutical
if you or one of your relatives have any Amazon prime account you can buy this first and then return it after using it to see if your oxygen is dipping from the sleep apnea problems that are related to oxygen dipping. There are a few that do not get caught with this watch.
Look to see how much of your diet consists of food that have enough l-tryptophan in it.
Tryptophan is responsible for the serotonin as well as melatonin and some people just don't have the gene to convert enough of it or they don't eat enough of it.
You can even try taking a supplement but look into not overdoing it serotonin syndrome is no joke.
If your sleep apnea is really bad enough you could buy a used ResMed AirSense 10 auto set machine from craigslist and do a DIY setup on your own with a help from Oscar sleep software.
It's actually what I had to do prior to my sleep study.. you could probably find a machine as cheap as 75 bucks or on average as much as 300.
Because it is a auto fluctuating machine when set up properly the pressure will vary all night as well as top off your airway for problems that are occurring from shallow breathing. This device will not fix problems with Central apnea but it will record them and put them in Oscar .
Good luck and let me know if you need any help
I've done the 24 hour urine catch and was at the cut off for everything .
Look up L Tryptophan supplement.. it's responsible for the first processes of manufacturing serotonin as well as melatonin without enough of it in your diet It will cause anxiety and all sorts of other good issues. Some people aren't able to convert it properly and they need extra in their diet.. do not take too much of it or you'll have serotonin syndrome..
My wife's oncologist once recommended fo ti.. it's not stimulant but more of a nourishment.
Have you ever been tested for sleep apnea..
Buy this device from Amazon and wear it for a week at night and see if you're dipping your oxygen below 90 at any time that coincides with a raised heart rate.. if you do and it's time to start thinking about a sleep apnea sleep study.
Save all the packaging so you can return it if need be.
Believe it or not 90% of people that think they have sleep apnea are dipping so bad that this is the first way that they find out..
I only use marijuana and I believe it somehow influences my adrenal reactions negatively also.. almost like a HPTA deregulation of sorts.
Thanks. Right now I'm leaning on this version from Dr. Kea paired with their XL cuff. I wish they could pair them together or let you choose the cuff size you needed.
I've had the evolve for a few months now: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MRL790Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's ifor the US market and not listed as any of those model numbers you mentioned although it looks to be the same thing.
If you talk to your doctor the can prescribe an ambulatory blood pressure device that will log blood pressure multiple times a day.
Otherwise, it looks like you can buy an ambulatory blood pressure monitor on Amazon for $99 made by Contac:
CONTEC Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor+Software 24h NIBP Holter(one Adult Cuff) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G9Z76MM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4C8jEb4NWP4GT
It’s an arm cuff system with electronics you need to wear on your belt. It can take measurements as often as every 20 minutes. That means a pump will fire up and inflate the arm cuff every 20 minutes. It will be noisy and noticeable.
Why do you want to do this?
