That's not true. A lot of the ones on Amazon and ebay cone with a filter material you can cut to size and shove in the filter chamber.

Amazon has a bunch of options for customizable courtesy lights! I actually bought some Spider-Man courtesy lights off of Amazon not very long ago and they work amazingly. I would check Etsy as well, but make sure you’re buying from a reputable source.

I actually bought some courtesy lights not too long ago and I absolutely love them. They’re structured the same as the ones linked below, and while they might look a little cheap, I promise they’re well worth the purchase and are pretty easy to set up.
Okay I think these coilovers are the second you described. There is a threaded shaft that turns. These have 3 collars. One on the bottom and two on top where the spring rests. So I loosen the bottom collar, then turn the top-most collar to lower or raise, correct? See link Amazon link to coilover
