Beautiful boy; wishing him a speedy recovery. Our Blenheim does get separation anxiety, but manages quite well with lots of napping. We leave the TV on for her so it itsn't too quiet.
Let you Vet know of this condition (but it seems you suffer more of it than he does) and they'll likely not leave him alone for extended periods. He's likely going to be sedated most of the time and will not realize how much time has passed... They will be monitored as they come out of sedation and will not be left alone during this period; be ready to be there when this happens.
Suggestion, get a ComfyCone instead of the hard plastic cone provided; he'll be more comfortable when sleeping, which will happen a lot after surgery.
Hang in there; this is for the best.

My 2.5 year old cav does this exact same thing in our whirlpool tub.
I couldn’t figure out why for the longest time - but then I made the correlation that it was only on days where he hadn’t gotten his usual walk, or was left alone for a few hours more than usual.
Typically, when he does this I’ll take him for a walk or play with him in the living room. His absolute favorite toy is this teaser wand It can also be purchased from Chewy for the same price.
Our living room is big enough that I can stand in the middle & “lunge” him in circles like a horse for play and exercise. He absolutely loves flipping for and chasing this toy. I use it in place of walks for when the weather is bad or it’s too late for me to comfortably go on a walk alone. 10-15 minutes does the trick and he’s panting. Rarely will he ever want a 2nd session, but if he does start to claw at the tub again, I whip it back out & we go again.
Just be careful not to leave it where your dog can chew on it - as ours loves to chew on the stick, which eventually causes the polymer thread to unravel… which can be dangerous if pup swallows.
toys...lots of toys. My boy loves small tennis ball sized stuffed toys. When he was a pup he would destroy them and I had a bunch stuffed away to replace them. Never chewed anything of mine except the rug in the bathroom but he out grew that.
These are some of his favorites
My little guy is so fussy, he was on Fromm and royal canine. We have settled on Castor & Pollux Pristine Healthy Grains Wild-Caught Salmon & Oatmeal Recipe Dry Dog Food. It has small freeze dried bits of salmon in it which I usually crumble over the kibble and he licks the bowl clean. Sometimes we will also scramble an egg over his kibble as a special treat which he absolutely loves. https://www.chewy.com/castor-pollux-pristine-healthy-grains/dp/289630?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12789770790&utm_content=Castor%20%26%20Pollux&utm_term=&gbraid=0AAAAADmQ2V0uwezHimbBeBl-Wsj6HfDRj&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8NCd5sPc-wIVUODICh1BkwA3EAQYBCABEgJdFfD_BwE
I got this 1 for mine who's 11mo next week. He really likes it, endured his digging and he loves the bolster.
Yelp (like her littermates or her mom would) when she bites you and leave. No play biting, no allowing her to get away with it even if it doesn’t hurt. Just cry out and walk away “sad” (not angry). Leave her alone and the come back a couple minutes later. Do NOT crate her for punishment. If you really need control of her environment get a play ring where she can be with her water and bed and chew toys. Let her go buckwild in the playpen.
Make sure you have plenty of things for her to chew and say nice things and encourage her when she is chewing on the right thing. Playing with a bone versus a person is different so sometimes stuffing a bone in her mouth won’t make the point.
Edited to say get the book Perfect Puppy in 7 Days. Great book that helps you set good foundation for your puppy’s training and their life stage development.
My girl loved (and still loves) bully sticks. They are an obstruction risk, so I always use her bully buddy. Yes it's a bit expensive but it's cheaper than a $2500 surgery.
A tired puppy is a good puppy. I used to wear mine out with chasing after a bandana on a lunge whip. It's still her favorite toy. It satisfies chasing, tugging, and biting.

Yes! These two have so far lasted since mid-September and show no signs of dying any time soon. My boy of course chewed the ears off each of them but they are otherwise intact and very tough for him to damage. We play tug with each of them pretty much every day. My pup is only 14lbs so these are big for a small dog but he loves them and will even wrastle around with them on his own - maybe because they’re close to his size he thinks he’s playing with a friend. 😂

Any toy recommendations that have lasted awhile for your boy that he likes? I'd love to find a toy for playing tug that she can't tear apart.
I got this Zogoflex toy recently that's held up so far. My girl likes the shape of it for chewing, and she hasn't been able to put any bite marks on it yet, but it's not great for playing tug.

Probably an eye infection. Check with your vet and confirm they need something like this. If so, ask your vet to allow you to stock up on it so you don’t have to pay vet fees the next time.

It's a Doglay Winter Coat, size medium.

So far I’ve not been able to find these locally. We initially found them in another city. Out of everything we’ve tried these are easily the best I’ve found. Our other dog is a westie and his ability to destroy things is next level. The damage you see on the toy was done by him. If it was just Nala there probably wouldn’t be nearly the damage. Hope it works for you!
I bought this cav handbook and in it they also say to secure all tiniest gaps, because cav pups are escape artists.
And probably much more, but this is what I remember from it (haven't read it cover to cover yet)
Also, when in doubt, call the breeder or the vet's office and they will tell you if it's concerning.

You may have to stuff it with a small blanket since your baby’s so small (it’s what I had to do the first few weeks!) but he should grow into it. Enjoy! 🥰

Where we are you can actually get chew hats. Jasper loves them. They are like pork pie style raw hide hats. Next one we get (only a specific thrift store, Wilkos if you have them state side) Ill do a pic. The ones he gets he destroys the middle part, and the hide threading, leaves the brims.

We have been using our easy walk harness forever! It is a front clip which can help teach your cav not to pull since it diverts their walking when they pull. It is low profile so you can see their beautiful coat instead of a harness!

I got this book for Christmas one year and I really like it. Would also be good for after the recovery is done too :)
Try treat hiding games or stationary interactive toys. Also one would be getting him to leave treats or toys right in front of him, which is in the book and can also be graduated to leaving treats on the paws, nose or head (and you could even try stacking them!).
Also try giving him things toys or chews, so that he can release some energy that way.
Hope that helps! I hope he has a speedy recovery :)
