Oh gosh; this is always hard. Raw grief is so intense, even if you don't know the person who died. I've had a few similar experiences and they've rocked me to my core.
I think that calling your family members and telling them you love them is a great idea -- after the first time I experienced something like this, I emailed my parents (with whom I have a somewhat problematic relationship) and told them that despite our various challenges, I love them and appreciate everything they've done for me and have a lot of happy memories with them. I've also had some luck with the book "Trauma Stewardship" -- it's not too expensive on Amazon, and if you have a library account they might have a copy of the book or the audiobook.
Hang in there, friend. It's good that you care.
Cherokee makes khaki scrubs that have a yoga waist and not see through.
Amazon has them here.
I totally feel that. I’m in home care and my company bought this back brace for me after I talked to my manager about it. Not sure if your employer would do the same but maybe worth a shot?? The only thing I don’t like about back braces is you can learn to rely on them and weaken your core instead of strengthen it. I only wear mine during transfers/turns and I try to stay really mindful about activating my core and letting the brace guide rather than support me if that makes sense. I also want to second what someone else said about evaluating your employer and thinking about working somewhere that supports you more, if possible!! Stay well 😊
Put a UV light in your car it will disinfect everything the light touches. Including Covid.

It says for fish tanks but I like this type because they are easy to mount. Stick it to the window or put it up on the roof with velcro. If you block the windows with those relective wondshiled screens it works better because it reflects the light to hit other surfaces and keeps it from just going out the window.
Edit: leave it on for 1/2 hr and don't be in the car. It can cause burns and creates ozone which is bad for you.
Slather then in Aquaphor healing ointment and wear cotton gloves to bed.
Or you could use those “gel gloves” but I don’t know how long they’d last as compared to the washable cotton ones.
Are old school hanging nursing Fob watches just not a thing in the US?
Amazon li k for reference: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ravel-Analogue-Quartz-Pocket-R1101-10/dp/B01H288QL2/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?keywords=nursing+fob+watch&qid=1671465261&sr=8-15
Thanks 🙏🙏 Will do, good luck to you too!
Class was so boring at first since mine is a 8 week program. My first week we had to study a huge textbook Most of that was pretty common sense except for medical terms if you've never studied medical stuff like me. Thank god its all multiple choice and no written answers.
What was annoying (because I had to pay due to no insurance yet) was that my school made us get our doc to fill out physical forms for the internship, which was first come firsf serve 🙄 I'm just curious if your program is making u do that
This stuff works great. It takes a while for sanitizer to take it off. Gloves In A Bottle Shielding Lotion for Dry Skin, 8 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UBN5S8/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_444D0MR2VNHC5QMM4RSQ
Yeah, but running shoes are made of fabric that's hard to clean off if you get any number of gross liquids or spills in the perforated fabric. The chef shoes I bought (they look like clogs) are perfect for showers as well.
I’m on clonazepam (PRN) and I’ve had to start taking Wellbutrin as well.
I also purchased this CBT workbook for anxiety. It has helped a lot!

I have the Copper compression socks. I got a 6 pack of black knee highs off Amazon for $19. They’ve done the job & are cheap.

The best thing are those B12 patches. They aren't expensive and keep me away from the toxic energy drinks that I would drink constantly. Amazon has a lot of different ones. I stay away from the ones for weight loss because they have a bunch of other ingredients I don't need. If you want to loose weght I have heard those do help.

I also forgot to mention that for stress, anxiety, inflammation and sleep CBD oil is amazing. If you have to take drug tests make sure to get THC free. Full spectrum contains trace amounts of THC and can make you test posative. It's not enough to get you "high" it just enhances the effects of the CBD. For most people it works better. https://www.lazarusnaturals.com/
I have extremely flat feet. I had been wearing different New Balance Fresh Foam, but I recently switched to nursing Crocs. I would always use inserts in my shoes, either gel or speciality ones, with Crocs I haven't yet. My feet bounce in them a little and my worst pain (after 12-14hr shifts) hasn't reappeared.
Something weird but good. If my feet do start to ache, I sit down to do charting or something (15 mins or so) and when I stand up and start walking again, it feels almost like my shoes are massaging my feet.

I listen to podcasts. I have to have some kind of noise even if I'm not really paying attention to it. Music can make me more sleepy sometimes. I also am on reddit a lot lol.
I have found that B12 works better for energy than energy drinks and caffine without the crash. Sublingual is better than pills and patches are the best. The patches give you sustained even effects. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V8LPZ7G/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_imm_t1_33NW5Z4RTZEW8P62X1DM?_encoding=UTF8
I wear glasses too. I bought a few pairs of prescription pair of goggles from zenni optical. One was $27 the other pair $35. I also found that the goggles from Amazon work perfectly when sitting over prescription glasses they also meet NIOSH and Meets ANSI Z87.1+ and CSA Z94.3 standards.
While on the Covid RED (positive) and Yellow (possible exposure/symptoms/pending test results) we have to wipe down and brown bag out face shields for 72 hours under UV light before reuse, so for these moments I DO still use the use face shields, but I bought and use these when I can. They are half sheilds and also compliant.
I used the following two books from Amazon (just bought the cheapest copies):
My course also came with a state-issued handbook that I used, as well as any course materials I was given, such as vital sign ranges.
I really liked this 99-cent Kindle book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015GSEOM0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Amazon is pretty consistent. Work N Gear is good if they have sales. I love these Cherokee pants, about $18 and have lasted me a solid year so far, and still look like new.
Cherokee Workwear Scrubs Men's Cargo Pant, Black, X-Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0034KQJEO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_K6q6AbCPF5AKZ
But I hate the Cherokee scrub tops, so I pair those pants with Dickies brand tops, they run about $11.
Dickies Unisex V-Neck Scrub Top, Navy, X-Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FYF0DXK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Q-q6Ab3JEH481
I had to do a lot of buying and returning online to find just what I liked, so I hope my info can help you a bit.
I prefer dickies too, and they’re cheap! I’m 5’2, 125 pounds, small chested, and wear size xs for the top, but a size small for the bottoms because I notice they do shrink a little in the laundry.
I tried them in the store but ordered more on amazon. There’s plenty of colors too
I tested in Idaho and used these 2 books to study:
