I would highly recommend Their VPN client offers a completely free service to a limited number of servers. The way CyberGhost operates is to offer a free service to all which is subsidised by paying premium users. If you sign up as a free user you'll get a large discount offer after about a week. I got 12 months premium subscription with a discount for $30.
Excellent question. The short answer is no, there is essentially zero chance that this service will require you to stay safe. However, as /u/Dosage_Of_Reality has shown, there is still some inherent risk. We suggest using a VPN of some sort, but again, it is not entirely necessary. You could try using a free trial of a VPN like Private Internet Access ($3.33/month) or ShadeYou ($2.17/month) to see if the cost is worth covering the risk factor. There are other free VPNs available, but these vary in protection (they could just be out to sell your data).
We still always suggest using a fake Google account for our site. It is possible that Google could deactivate accounts that are registered to use Corrent, but again, this is highly unlikely.
TL;DR It depends what level of risk you are acceptable with.
Was this for the "What we do in the shadows" film ?
I initially got the screen that you captured so downloaded the VLC player and it played without any problems.
Download VLC player here: http://download.cnet.com/VLC-Media-Player/3000-13632_4-10267151.html
Have you tried the Roku DriveCast app? You can choose a file on Corrent that is automatically copied to your Google Drive, and then open up your Google Drive account files with DriveCast.
Let me know how it works for you.
