I'm not sure if links are allowed. This is the kit I just installed from Amazon. I just bought a 2009 CR-V in FL also and wanted to sort this.

Easy install. A little nerve rattling, but not a big deal. Get a trim removal kit and watch a few youtube videos first.
I was looking at these for my 2002 and amazon says they’d fit your 2010. I ultimately decided against these or HID, I don’t want to be the dick that blinds oncoming traffic even if I get marginally better field of vision.
I bought these on Amazon a few months ago and I couldn't be happier. I have a 2017 EX-L and I believe I got two H11 bulbs, two 9005 bulbs and two more for the fog lights. I do a lot of night driving in the Texas hill country and I feel like I can spot the deer a lot better with these lights.
Yes, it looks completely factory. Got it off of Amazon. I have hauled an older Discovery Two on it that weighs 73 lbs over a 400 mile road trip without incident. Two smaller river kayaks at the same time. A 16 cu foot Yakima Skybox with 6 snowboards. My rack
Its common for ball joints to fail on these vehicles, I recently replaced mine with mevotech ball joints. For the press you might need an adapter kit for Hondas https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005QPLM6U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_PXG6XXHTZNXZBKDC4FFD

I know the guy had a hell of a time getting them in properly, and I go through headlight bulbs what seems like every 6 months, so not sure if the style is worth it… but I do love them and have gotten a lot of compliments.
I used these wipes on some trim on my '99 CRV. Now I've got to do the rest of the trim, because the piece I did looks good, while the rest look like sim faded garbage. My dad did some plastic on his Jeep, and the trim looks brand new (except he needs another coat, you can tell where he didn't get)
Prep is simple: wash it with a degreaser, dry completely, wipe it extra thorough, dry for an hour.
I'd go so far as to suggest 2 coats would be amazing. Especially since you'll probably miss a spot on the first go-around. I made sure to be thorough. Still missed a couple spots.
It does say to be careful around paint and glass. Just tape off the windows with some blue tape and have at it.

In the US the roof rails are no longer available since Honda's supplier went under. My guess is you will run into the same issue in Canada. If your can't get them from the dealer I've been happy with this after market copy of the Honda ones and haven't had any noise issues. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YXVPT97/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought from Amazon these last September. So far so good, only time will tell. My other ride has LED bulbs too, although unbranded. They tend to last around 2 years. The benefits of better night visibility far outweighs the hassle of buying and installing new ones, at least in my opinion. I keep a spare bulb on hand for the occasion.
Edit: Forgot to link low beams.

you're gonna need a harness that mates between the coax speakers and the oem Honda harness unless you wanna do some serious splicing. Not too expensive; I think it was like $4 for a pair, which was like $8 and some change for the front and rear.
I got this one for my first gen. Was going to pay hundreds to put in a deck and then realized this is all I need. I like that it’s small and doesn’t have bright leds.

I would suggest changing the cabin air filter all together, very cheap and very easy to DIY.
EDIT: I just put this one in my Ridgeline and Amazon says it fits your CRV as well. Typically you just drop the glove-box forward then slide out the old one and drop in the new one.

2018 EX-L
We got the official Honda ones from the dealer for the back seats... unfortunately it’s a pain to get genuine parts for cheaper in Canada (prove me wrong!!!!). They’re AMAZING. Our son’s boots are covered in snow, mud, and salt from the slush. He’s in a forward facing car seat and he can kick the front seats. They just wipe clean and the perforated leather is still unscathed.
We bought this off amazon Canada to cover most of the rear of the front seat. And fits our tablet if we choose.
I’m happy with the set up. Hope that helps!
I put these in. They are amazingly bright and quite easy to mount. I'd suggest you get some of that 3M VHB tape to mount the little adapter boxes in place too. Otherwise they are actually brighter than my BMW's HIDs. I wouldn't bother with the high beams you won't need them
95% likely that it's the Vtec solenoid. Either the screen on the solenoid gasket is clogged, or the solenoid is leaking. I replace mine with the OEM ones only. Don't go out and get the $30 ones from the local parts store, they're junk.
If you are able to tell that its 100% the vtec solenoid, Here is the OEM one on Amazon.
+1 for VVT solenoid. I had to completely change mine out with an OEM one to stop the leaking from there. Before changing it I tried replacing the gasket and o-rings on it, but still leaked, not sure why. You can get the OEM one on amazon for around $140, which isn't too bad. But like u/Coalmen said, clean it first, see if there are still signs of leakage. (I could spot oil dripping on the ground after short drives taking it over 3k rpms.)

This one has worked well for me. It clips well onto the dash ledge for the backup camera.
I like this one
Attaches to the air vent, I've driven over some pretty rough roads and my phone has never fallen off
Save half of your money and get a Pittsburgh jack from Harbor Freight of the same weight rating. Always place your car on jack stands before getting under it. Take the $100 you'll save getting the other jack and put it into getting some quality jack stands with a lock.

https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-57030-Standard-Filter-Swivel/dp/B00396DMZ2
Don’t bother with oil wrenches if it don’t come off by hand use one of those style oil removal tools above (pliers or swivels)
Make sure your oil pan is under it after it starts to loosen it will start to drain oil and the oil filter will have oil in it so be careful with spilling it.
Fyi make sure your oil filter has the gasket on it sometimes you will pull the filter out and the gasket will stay on where it seats and if you put the new filter on oil will spray everywhere. Just look at it and make sure there’s a rubber seal on there like the new one then apply a film of oil to the new seal and install hand tight

When you apply, it, apply the bottom edge first and smooth out the air bubbles. If you don't it will look horrible and lifting it and reapplying won't work, you'll have to get another one.
I had this same problem with my 07. I found some on amazon that had great reviews. Everyone in the reviews bought them because they solved this very same problem. Update:
Just ordered 2 chip keys from Amazon for $25.
It turns out the local ace hardware will cut the keys for $5 and program them for $35. The guy said its never a sure-thing with aftermarket keys from china so well see.
Ill let you all know how it goes. Maybe this will help others in the future.
Not going to be cheap but it's hard to tell. It will depend on how much they need to paint as the panel doesn't look too bad.
You could always get one of these and just live with it.
I went with 6 1/2" Speakers. Finding mounting brackets was a pain. CRV adapters plates were $35 for 2. (2) Speaker pigtails were going for $10. Then I saw the plates linked below. They are for a Civic and I took a shot on the size. I figured you get (4) for $21 and if the plates fit they fit and if they dont, oh well.
So the plates have (2) mounting tabs at the bottom. These do no align with the CRV tabs. So a popped them off.
Before you remove the old speaker, use a marker to outline the arch of the speaker mount. I used (4) self tapping sheet metal screws on each mount. Everything aligns perfectly with the CRV door panel. And my tunes have never been sweeter.
That is the shift lock release slot, so you can manually get it into neutral if it breaks down and needs to get towed. There is usually a little cap that goes there, it can rattle off over time. It is missing on my 2004. If you just noticed it, try looking on the floor for the little cap, and snap it back on. If you can't find it, you can order a new one here, or get one from a junkyard.
Don't remove the plastic guard, you can cut it in place. Here's an Amazon review with pictures that explains it all. https://www.amazon.com/Draw-Tite-75742-Max-Frame-Receiver-Opening/dp/B008BVPLVI
Make sure you have an extension to get the bolts on.
You don't need exhaust pliers to remove the rubber hanger but it helps. I used Channellock / water pump pliers to get it off, was relatively painless.
I added cougar motors and also tied sealight from Amazon. The LEDs were a great upgrade and I had them on my car for years not sure why the other poster didn't like the. Sometimes they dim after a while but they are cheap to replace every few years.

Most steering wheel controls work except the bottom 3 that you can pick up calls with. Back up camera needs to be spliced into the factory imid input - not a difficult job, just a tight area. The unit also communicates with the IMID screen, i.e radio stations on the headunit display on the IMID. Pretty cool and all plug and play. Also comes with carplay and android auto.
I'm currently leaning towards this.

HQST Solar Panel Mounting Brackets with Nuts and Bolts Set of 4 Units, Supporting for RV, Boat, Roof, Wall and Other Off Gird Installation https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5QX9VX/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_XWN9MB16WHKVPE5GM6GC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 these Z brackets are for mounting solar panels . I was going to likely put it on top and use the brackets on the pre drilled holes on the panel, about 2 inches from the corners of the panel, then drill through the cross bars and bolt it down. On top would create more drag than if I could mount it underneath the bars somehow.
I am setting it up for long term camping and possibly living for a month or so at a time.
I got them from Amazon Here
The only thing I don't like about them is that they aren't completely flush with the plastic but you really can't tell unless you're really looking. They're really bright though
Decided to put it here for everyone.
I grabbed this from amazon. It’s an 8th gen civic short shifter adapter, but the tricky thing is it doesn’t fit perfectly: I ended up using a scrap of copper pipe to ship it with the shift rod. And I used locktite on the hex screws when installing. https://www.amazon.com/VMS-RACING-Stainless-Compatible-2006-2011/dp/B08M1WFGRB
The second part is that you need to grab a shifter pivot cup specifically from an ‘06-‘08 civic. I can’t seem to find them anywhere new. I grabbed one from an ‘07 civic at the junkyard across town. Look for a manual ‘06-‘08, year the center console and the shifter apart, then pull the little blue cap off one of the pivots on the shift rod. This part is needed to work with the 8th gen short shifter adapter.
Those are the parts you need, and I just used this write-up to throw it all together. Sadly the pictures are broken, but I was able to do it fine based on the text. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-cr-v-element-156/97-01-crv-short-shifter-how-3154499/

Having done this replacement myself, you are going to want a clamp similar to these but long enough to compress the strut enough to align them with the locations of the holes in the glass
Bolt the strut into the interior mounting hole first, then use the clamp to align the other end with the glass. Replace them one at a time, and have a golf club or something ready to help prop up the glass (a club grip worked well for me as a non skid surface). Or have a second person to help you.
You’ll thank me.

For a few reasons:
They've been working great so far after more than 2 years. My only dislike about them is the highbeam doesn't offer much more illumination than the lows, though this is a common problem with pretty much all LED bulbs in a regular halogen housing.
Well parts wise, I would only trust the Beck Arnley Transmission side motor mount.
I ordered the 4 mount kit from RockAuto and the trans side mount that came with the kit was not the correct fit. Upper mounting bracket was angled in the wrong direction.

Just go with the buff and touch. Any good body guy can match that paint, probably off the shelf.
Replacing the wiring and door locks etc on an )% would probably create more headaches than it fixes

I put this one into my 1st gen, it was an easy install because I purchased the custom wiring harness connector from Crutchfield with the head. Works great, and the manual volume knob is awesome to have within reach.
It's not difficult to install, but not a cakewalk either. You do have to take a lot of the dashboard apart, but there are several good YouTube videos on this.
Also, if you are going to replace the factory speakers, make sure to get a set of these for the speaker connections.
Honda discontinued the roof rails because the supplier went under so you can only get the unremovable OEM cross bars. I got this one on Amazon with silver rails and crossbars. If I was to buy it again I'd get the silver rails with black crossbars since the silver ones are painted plastic but you can't see any of the scratches unless your loading something onto the rack. I've left the crossbars attached during the summer and have not had any issues with vibrations or whistling while driving that people have complained about with some of the other 3rd party sets.
I have a tent that straps to the back of an SUV. Then you can fold the seats down and have plenty of room. I went down to Orlando for two weeks and it was nice having it vs just inside the CRV.

I have this dope little combo bottle jack + jackstand and it works great for servicing. I'll probably eventually grab another one to throw in the cavity in back under the picnic table because the stock scissor jack is such a pain. One of the reasons I bought it is because it has a full metal plate on the bottom so you can use it on dirt with no problems, other reason I got it is you can pre-extend the stand part to get more usable throw out of the bottle for lifting taller vehicles (I also have a Fnord Exploder).
Great little jack, used it several times this summer. A little big if you don't have a gen 1/2 with the vestigial spare tire cavity you can stash it away in though.
Right after bringing home our 2021 CRV Touring I ordered the following item from Amazon so we could have wireless CarPlay: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092VVFW3C
I have not had any issues connecting my (iPhone 11 Pro) and my Wife's (iPhone 12 Pro) phones to the car since. I typically use Waze and Google maps and play music through an app on the phone (LiveXLive or Spotify) while driving around so would notice any glitches or issues with the display and audio.
As u/20ghosts mentions, I'm not using bluetooth to connect to the car, so no HondaLink for me!
Some would call it gilding the lily, others might even call it polishing the turd, I'm going with "kintsugi".
Doing some electrical install and wanted this GGGT (gross grey goo tape) gone. I think it's duct tape, and it's obviously not designed for this. Sometimes you don't plan on doing something till it starts haunting you.
This is the interior harness tape I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y9VTPTF

I’d say the most important part is to keep it wet and if you drip it on the ground it’s junk!
I recently bought these and they turned out great. Can't even tell they're seat covers, no wrinkles or anything. A little challenging to install but it was worth it.
Unfortunately they seem to have gone up VERY recently. Here's the cheapest one I found currently listed. For reference, I just placed an order for another set 2 days ago for $68 and the listing is now discontinued, so it seems they get relisted and price changes often. You can also get them very cheap from RockAuto, I just needed the faster shipping.
Previous owner spray painted your front bumper black and didn't tape the bottom of the passenger headlight, so there's black overspray on the bottom edge. It's a small aesthetic flaw, I'm mostly recommending it because yours are oxidized, which reduces light output and clarity significantly.
I bought these for my 2018 and the fit perfect - can't tell they are even seat covers. Wipe down nicely too. Was a bit expensive but well worth it!

Mine was pretty bad and used this stuff on CR-V and my Tacoma…. Works miracles!

I spent 100$ Canadian on a dashcam from my security camera wholesaler. It's a Hikvision dashcam. Here's an Amazon Canada Link.
It's got Wi-fi built in (so you can connect your phone to it) to view photos and videos, edit the settings, and even download videos or photos. It comes with a remote as well that I have stuck on the dash. The remote only works when the phone isn't connected to it via wifi. It needs an SD card and a USB power source (it comes with a 12 volt adapter too, but I have mine powered off of the radio). Hikvision has an app for you to use to connect to the camera. But my advice is remove the SD card to download the footage... using the wifi on it is painfully slow (but I have used it).
It's a nice little dashcam.
Here's a clip that shows the clarity and why I NEED a dash camera. My city is full of these idiots.
Most manufacturers have wind deflectors that you mount on the front cross bar to help.
> Thule evo clamps
Just purchased the below linked pair to go with the Roof Rails and happy with the choice. Friend went the Thuel clamps route and looks are kinda meh and can notice extra noise.

Getting a budget aftermarket radio for $60 will not only let you play USB/aux/bluetooth, but will actually improve the sound quality coming from the stock speakers, in my experience with 3 cars I've owned.
There's an example. Modern head units can also probably play a wider range of audio formats from CDs.
Not sure what your surfing plans are, but:
I've been using soft racks that look a lot like these for many years:
Not that brand - I bought mine at a local east-coast surf shop. I've had them on two Honda Fits and a CR-V. Always been careful, never gone over ~68mph, and never tried to carry multiple boards at once.
Your mileage may vary - I'm not trying to say that I can guarantee it'll work perfectly for you, just trying to say that surfboards don't necessarily require full hardmount roof racks.
I have this one which mounds to the spare tire. It held my super heavy mountain bike well, even if it was terrifying.
There's also roof rack options if your car has a roof rack.
NINEO from amazon for high, low and fog lights. Its been almost 2 months now, so far so good.

They were kind of hard to install on the front seats and I had to cut holes for the armrests but end result was nice
These fit great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4NRZAG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_uyb2FbH71SRHP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I haven't purchased a screen for my sunroof yet, so can't make any recommendations.
