or follow these steps:
- load the dicom file in "gimp" ( https://www.gimp.org/ )
*(note if your transfer syntax is not supported first export the dicom file to PNG)
- go to IMAGE-> print size
- set the DPI settings there.
- go to file->export-> (tiff)
- done.
If you just want to view the images you can use a free viewer. I like Microdicom for that.

If you want to print them, you may be able to call an imaging center or hospital near you and see if they can do that for you.
Just curious, there's no viewer on the CD?
