Never thought of conditioning mine but I’ll have to try it. I bought a pet brush like this and gently went over mine, it worked pretty well and cost like $5 at walmart. I bet it’d work better with conditioner.
Like a cup. You can also pre-soak with vinegar and water, and then wash with your normal detergent. If you do this, use VERY LITTLE detergent for the wash, and select "deep wash" or whatever uses more water to get the vinegar out.
I personally buy this stuff, and wash the stinky loads in it:

This, plus DEEP WASH, plus HOT WATER is the only thing that takes the sharp BO tang out of my golf shirts.
Do not store them in polythene covers either buy a breathable dust proof dress bag or a cotton one. Something like this is suitable. The polythene ones tend to deteriorate over time and make the clothes sweat if exposed to variable temperatures. Obviously make sure they are cleaned before you store them.
We talking wool and/or cashmere right? I had customer say they used this thing from amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0141GB37M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_5u5uCbXRSKB3W
I’ve just used suave conditioner and wiggle em back and forth and rise in cold water.
So, how does that work?
I have a steamer at home. https://www.amazon.com/Conair-Extreme-Steam-Fabric-Steamer/dp/B006CR9KGA
Should I just point steam at the cloth part, and use a clean piece of cloth to get the dirt out? How should I do that?
