Go for ProProfs Project. I am using this tool for the past 3 months to plan my projects and assign tasks to the team. With the Gantt chart view, I get a bird’s eye view of the project performance, better understand the dependencies between tasks, and track project progress in real-time. This way, I can address bottlenecks beforehand and smoothen workflow for maximum productivity. After I have invested in this tool, I never lagged in completing any project and have always delivered on time. I am satisfied with this tool. You can also give it a try!
We're a sub so we're viewing lots of projects. All projects are kept in a respective folder labeled by year. The project folders are named based on the due date of the bids, starting with YYYY-MM-DD project name location.
eg. 2019-10-01 nasic expansion wpafb
Once we bid the project we place it in a folder labeled BIDS so that we can check back with the GCs or CMs we submitted to. If we end up being awarded the project it goes into a CURRENT projects folder so it is easy to locate.
I use a small Windows program called Everything to locate any old and archived projects. In my experience it is about 42 billion times better than Win10's search feature. https://www.voidtools.com/ Its proved valuable when we get a call back 18 months after we bid a project asking if our price is still good - recent experience.
