Quite a few reviews for this product mention people taking it after gallbladder removal surgery. It's supposed to be good for dealing with digesting fats.
Pre-surgery I started taking an enzyme capsule that contained ox bile and lipase among other ingredients to help me digest fats, specifically if I had a larger meal. I found them very helpful and by taking them at the start of a meal I could eat a larger meal or meal with some fat without triggering a gallbladder attack or feeling nauseas. I don't know about after surgery, as I didn't find i needed them after surgery at all.

These are the ones I bought and highly reccomend:
Agree with this. I take after any decently large or fatty meal, huge improvement. Ox bile has been a game changer for me, and solved a slew of digestion issues for me, including bloat. I buy this one off of Amazon, have tried others, but find my body does best with this dosage and type. Good luck! ox bile
Maybe try a magnesium citrate supplement like Natural Calm. Magnesium deficiency is becoming quite common and will lead to symptoms you’re describing. I trust this brand in particular and prefer to take a full dose mixed with hot water and juice right before bed time. Here is an Amazon link but you should be able to find it at a GNC or Whole Foods as well:
Natural Vitality Natural Magnesium Calm (2 Bottles of 8 Ounce) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IWTD1JS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_VsDcFb9P1KJNZ
I'm a bit late here, but gastroenterology doctors tend to prescribe ursodiol, and in rarer cases sometimes urologists do. You can also get a variant online on Amazon over the counter. Studies I've read show they're about 1 to 2% less effective than the prescription variant, which is within the margin of error, so basically just as good as the prescription one.
Here is the instructions on dose size: https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/ursodiol-oral-route/proper-use/drg-20066618 tl;dr: The average person takes 300 mg when waking up or with breakfast and 300 mg when going to bed daily for 6 to 24 months. You can get an ultra sound every 6+ months to verify the size of your gallstone to see if it is shrinking and at what rate.
TUSCA (the over the counter one) apparently is weaker so instead of 250-300mg twice a day, you want 500mg twice a day.
If you're getting diarrhea from it, make sure you're eating enough fatty food every day, which is what causes the gallbladder to flush, then absorb the clean bile from the pills. When it collects enough clean bile it dissolves gallstones. If you're not eating a high fat diet the extra bile from the pills will cause diarrhea.
If you're taking a high fat diet (eg keto) and still getting diarrhea then lower your dose size, eg 300mg twice a day to 250mg twice a day or 200mg twice a day. You want to be on the highest dosage you can get away with.
Occasionally if I eat too much saturated fat there is some pain. There were a couple instances where I could feel a blockage with swelling and then after fasting and doing stretches with full body flexes while laying down, I had the feeling of pressure relief and sudden diarrhea. Basically some mid section rotations and muscle flexes using my right leg and core.
I'm assuming a blockage shifted or a bile tube opening stretched a bit from the back pressure of digestive fluids.
I have cut back on the tudca/milk thistle blends. Now I occasionally use this bile salt blend if I notice any light color coming on in my stool. https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Gallbladder-Contains-Indigestion-Abdominal/dp/B00HSC5IR8
I still have to be more conscious of what I eat and sometimes feel a little pain. If I had the money, I would get my gallbladder removed, but these remedies do seem to work for me at least as a way of relief.
From my reading: laying on your left side helps, as does a hot water bottle, as does peppermint tea or warm water with lemon juice.
If I'm honest, none of the above have helped me significantly, laying on the left side does help but what has helped me most is a capsule I found on Amazon:
I am unsure if my gallstones have dissolved or been flushed out so far, but the pills certainly feel as though they're working. I haven't had a flare up for 8 days, almost felt one coming on last night but had a pill and sat upright for a few hours and I was fine.
Thank you! I ordered one of these from Amazon, it definitely helps with picking up socks and small things from the floor
Try taking chanca piedra or this, if you can get it there. Read the reviews, staved off gallbladder surgery for me, at least for now.
Gallbladder Complete 16oz - Natural Organic Liquid Gallstones Cleanse, Support, & Sludge Formula Supplement https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756RDK84/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_A3N51AJEE4AB67DTFMQ0
In an attempt to avoid surgery, I occasionally take chanca piedra and use this drink:

I also try to eat pretty low fat, other than occasional desserts. I mostly eat whole food plant based. Other than the occasional dessert or piece of salmon.
Whole food plant based diet.
Try this stuff:

Read the reviews, see if you think it could help. It helped calm my gallbladder down.

We had to ween her off the drugs slowly, but also not exacerbate her reflux. We did a low acid diet with cheat meals here and there to promote sticking to the diet.
To sooth her gastritis and reflux we used slippery elm bark extract which is a thick substance which coats the esophagus and stomach. Its worked exceedingly well. It would stop a gastritis attack in minutes. Pretty cool.
We also used a supplement called Pepzinc which is a trademarked designer supplement created in Japan to treat reflux diseases.
And for cheat days we DGL licorice extract supplement.
Zero attacks, and no heart burn.
You can get a lot of this information from the book called "dropping acid" written by two ENT doctors, and The ultimate gastritis cookbook.

Maybe you need your gallbladder out?
I don’t know why the grass fed yogurt is helping, but this might not be be your gallbladder. Maybe h pylori or something else?
Anyway I tried this a few weeks ago, it seems to be helping me. While I waited for it to arrive, took chanca piedra, that seriously helped.
Maybe worth a try:
Gallbladder Complete 8oz Organic Liquid Concentrate - Digestive Vinegar Bitters Supplement https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JV3CTBA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_31VHB94NAKCBJ0AWF3S5
Took over a week to arrive. It’s helped enough that I plan on ordering again when this bottle gets low.
Eat healthy for a few days and see what happens. Fruits and vegetables. Low fat!!! I’d cut meat, dairy and cheese and fatty, fried, greasy stuff.
I’ve found relief w/ chanca piedra and I just got this gallbladder potion. Some say the chanca piedra isn’t for gallstones, but seems to be helping my case, so I’ll keep trying to salvage this organ with these remedies and not eating too much crap.
I can’t vouch for the potion fully yet, but it seems like it’s working.

Attack on Monday: did you binge on holiday food over the weekend/ leftovers Monday? I did!
I took chanca piedra, apple cider vinegar and tumeric Tuesday and back to normal. I also ordered this, it hasn’t arrived yet, but maybe it will work?
I also generally eat very clean and whole food plant based. I ate some dairy and fried food Over Easter. Reminding me why I pretty much eat whole food, plant based. I don’t miss the meats, dairy, etc. I have fish on a rare occasion.
I saw another formula on Amazon that had even better reviews. So check the reviews snd see what you think.

I just ordered some gallbladder liquid on Amazon. I don’t know if it will work, but the reviews were mostly raving about this miracle juice…
I haven’t tried it yet, but given your pain, maybe worth a try.
You should be very concerned!
But the good news is that with self-care and a few changes, Fatty Liver can be reversed.

A heating pad was a lifesaver in terms of the gas pain (if you are doing laparoscopic). I tried gas x and it didn’t so much to help. If you can get a pillow like this that would help you get up & down a lot easier. You’re going to have to lift yourself without much help from your stomach muscles for a few days at least. I also took stool softeners to help with bowel movements.
If you're having trouble with solid foods due to lack of appetite, you can try nutrition drinks.
I drink this super fortified juice for a little while. It's high in sugar though, but I need the calories at the time.

This is a good brand, high end. And this is a good product specifically for distressed guts after surgery.

Nope, keep taking your meds.
Mix half a cup of the bark with 4 cups of water. Let soak for 12-24 hours on counter or fridge. Put mixture in a large bowl add another 4 cups of water, wisk like eggs real well (this separates the gel from the bark and makes a thinner pourable gel). Last strain through a sieve. Bottle. Store in fridge. Ill make a video today, we want to share it with others.
This is what we bought.
Organic Slippery Elm Bark Cut https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JEMK7K8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_EMDD2QSG1KG21ESM3K4W
I bought this pillow before surgery, since laying down was not enjoyable then either (extreme reflux, painful belly, and all that fun stuff). It's been a lifesaver after surgery. I still haven't got my normal sleep routine back 2 weeks post-op, but this thing helps me get some sleep every night and it's much easier to get in and out of bed! It's very customizable and comfy.

I've read it's normal to have sleep issues after surgery, so fingers crossed things get back to normal for us both and maybe the pillow will help in the meantime. Good luck friend!
Oh, yes, you should keep a pillow handy to squash it onto your belly if you need to cough or sneeze. Or you can buy a belly band (like this one) which will eliminate the need for a pillow and also help you remember to go easy on your stomach muscles for a while.
This is what I've been using. 1,784 user reviews with a 4.7 star rating.

For the belly button pain I've been wearing a back brace to sort of keep my belly supported under my belly button it really helps with the pulling/straining pain. Right shoulder might have something to do with the** phrenic nerve** pain, I had the pain the first night home. This nerve runs along the liver and if it's damaged it causes sharp piercing pain, luckily it was gone by morning. Look it up and see if the symptoms match your own.
For diarrhea , if you haven't already, try to simplify your diet and don't eat anything that will stress your digestive system, I've been sticking to soups, blended fruits for fiber and vegetarian curries. Good luck.
That's the one I'm getting from my local medicine shop: https://www.amazon.com/Rowachol-Capsules-100-capsules-Rowa/dp/B0006NXNF0/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=rowachol&qid=1632474285&sr=8-1
So, we know the why, that's good. Extreme weight loss will produce gallstones, absolutely.
Try this for pain Drink apple cider vinegar, 3 tablespoons mixed with apple juice, twice a day. This will help to soften the stones and clear sludge.

I’ve done it once, and it seemed to help some but not all the way so I’ll probably try it again.
My acupuncturist also recommended I try golden milk, which is plant based milk with turmeric, ginger and cinnamon. It tastes gross but it’s supposed to be good for digestive health and gallbladder function 😂
Not sure if you're in the UK or not, but it's these.
The generic drug name is Simeticone, so you might find a brand in your country.
This is what I used, got them on Amazon, 100% vegetarian, and work amazingly well. Good luck.
Oh I replied above but thought of something new and am putting it here: get her a grabbing stick, something like this. Bending over can be painful for a while.
Also if she has a cat or two, having the lightweight cat litter is great for not having to lift as much. I ended up buying both the grabbing stick and lightweight litter off Amazon. Also, depending on how nimble and adaptable the cat is, you can move the litter box onto a table so you don't have to bend down to scoop.
I have no knowledge to partake about loose stools, except to say that a portable bidet attachment on your primary toilet might be a quality of life improvement in the meantime. They sell them for like 40 bucks on Amazon and I've had this one for two years and it's still going strong.
(For those not versed in bidets, it basically blows water at your ass when you're on the toilet and flick a lever.)
It is a godsend when you are wiping a lot, like if you have food poisoning or are prepping for a colonoscopy or whatever. It does a much better job of cleaning than paper, and then you just wipe a little to dry off.
Bile supplements are very important, especially with those symptoms. Your dr won’t tell you about it, but do you research and you’ll have a better understanding! I use these... Ox Bile 125 mg 180 Capsules https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003GHA5GS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_kXfuFbQ72H4SV
I had my gb removed a few years ago and I too had some atypical symptoms. Even all of my tests showed that there was nothing wrong with my gb, but I was having horrific attacks every day for several days. Mine came on very suddenly and the pain was so bad (I’ve had 4 children... my gb attacks were worse!) that I just wanted surgery so I could be put to sleep for a little while! Now looking back, if there was some way I could’ve prevented that from happening and save my GB... I would’ve. They’re a more important organ than I realized! Things about my body have changed since having it removed that are kind of annoying! I’ve had skin issues, Candida over growth and weight fluctuation to name a few. Because it goes hand in hand with the liver and so much is processed through the liver, it can have negative consequence. One thing is, my vitamins and certain meds don’t absorb the same way, so I don’t get the full effect. Certain fatty foods (even healthy ones like avocado) aren’t so healthy anymore and can make your liver fatty. There are ways with dealing with this stuff, but I would highly recommend at least trying to remedy those stones before surgery. And the after that, do a liver cleanse. This has good reviews on Amazon Gallbladder Complete 8oz - Natural Organic Liquid Gallstones Cleanse, Support, Sludge Formula Supplement https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756RNF7S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5lguFbF9CJDHS
A good Liver cleanse is Dr Tobias (also on Amazon). Also, check out ox bile supplements. If you have it removed, you’ll want to know more about that! Good luck!
You might need to supplement ox bile to help you absorb these fat-soluble vitamins. Normally bile accumulates in the GB throughout the day and becomes a compacted and potent detergent for the fat you eat. Since your GB is now absent, that bile instead comes straight from the liver to the small intestines in a small steady stream throughout the day instead of in a single powerful punch.
This is a product on amazon many people approve. You'd have to do some personal experimentation to see what dose works best for you. Too little and you don't absorb the full potential of your meal. Too much and you have terrible and painful diarrhea. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002JIUDS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
I've been LIVING off this soup. No fat and it's gluten free (intolerant). Super tasty. Just like regular chicken noodle soup. I add some rice to thicken it up and make it feel like a full meal. Plus some salt and pepper. It's really good. I can usually get 2 meals out of 1 can with rice mixed in. My local grocery store sells them at 3.50 a can. Much cheaper in bulk on Amazon!

I hope you feel better in the meantime! I think what helped me the best was hot compress, even though I could feel the pain still, it was comforting. Now, I don’t have any pain as I’ve been using this herbal extract one of my friends recommended to me https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0027E4NB4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Honestly don’t know what it is or how it works but it’s actually helped a ton with the pain more than anything.
Hi. Do you take probiotics at all ? I had a bowel movement the second day and this is the first time in like a year my BMS are Brown and healthy looking. I'm taking this probiotic and this digestive enzyme:

If you're going to be on your own in the first week or two, considering getting a grabber pole. I found bending over to be painful for a few weeks and sought to minimize it.
