Also this guy on Instagram posts a lot of good tutorials and advice (and he responds to people asking for specific advice!
I took lessons with a buddy down in Outer Banks. We are both pretty athletic guys, both done Ironmans, he's a Kung Fu instructor and I was a D1 Athlete.
We BARELY got up. We both had experience with traction kites, which is huge and I recommend going in with kite handling skills if you can. Plus giant foil kites are fun as hell. Our biggest problem was neither of us had wakeboarding experience, and getting up out of the water was very difficult. I definitely want to try it again some time, it's for sure something I'd love to do more.
