Carhartt makes work pants that accept knee pads. The knees have a double front pouch built in. https://dungarees.com/carhartt-b136-double-front-washed-duck-loose-fit-pant

Hope this helps.
This book changed bending for me. Very dry, easy to read, easy to use as a reference book. Similar to the ugly’s book, but for pipe. It will cover every thing you might want to know.
Depends on the job. Industrial work, I tend to not wear anything. Comercial, I use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01454B3QQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I take my backpack to all jobs, load what I need for the day/job, and then leave the bag in the gang box.
Residential, I don't know about. I've done my best to stay out of those jobs.
Kneeling pads are where it’s at. Knee pads make your knees sweaty, slide around a lot, where out quickly, get in the way quite a bit. If you really do want knee pads I get Troxell. I’ve done some flooring stuff and knee work when I was a resi carp and they’re really nice. Thick padding, lasts quite a while, more comfortable than most I’ve tried.
I got this belt, it's okay I guess. A little warm but not uncomfortable, and a southwire pouch to put on it. I'm actually thinking about getting a smaller pouch (I'm looking at you, klein trim out pouch) and a bigger tote or bag (like the veto tp4 size) to keep the things I need but aren't currently using on a cart near me.
