You can buy all different shapes of arc lighters, there are ones for lighting candles that would work well.
Edit: Here
Do you not want to buy it from us amazon? Found it here : https://www.amazon.com/Sarome-Lighter-BM15-05-Silver-barrel/dp/B00WJXBRT4.
Last time I checked you cannot send lighters with fluid in the mail so that is why it was rejected.
My coworker found a 5 pack of knockoffs for 10 bucks on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/ETOPSTECH-Shopping-Lighter-Waterpoof-Keychain/dp/B00JTULKI8/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=everstryke&qid=1555097390&s=gateway&sr=8-1
I might grab this and see if I like it.
I purchased this Chinese made IMClone on Amazon, and its every bit as good as my originals; frankly better as its made out of stainless steel so less prone to rust;
https://www.amazon.com/Classics-Triplex-Stainless-Cigarette-Lighter/dp/B019EUWONW/
Then I guess it’s time for a pig
So there are two types of "modern" Ronson flints sold in the dispenser. You're right that the gold colored flints are just rebranded Zippo flints.
The other type are a dark red color, darker than the original Redskin flints, and are called Firebronze flints. I order them on Amazon but they ship from the UK, as Ronson UK is not owned by Zippo. The copyright date on the packaging is 2006, so I'm not sure if they're still making them or just selling off old stock. I just checked and they're no longer available on Amazon, so that old stock may have dried up.
I was able to find a seller on Amazon with the original Redskin flints available, so I just ordered a 5 pack to stock up... And I was able to find a seller on Ebay for the Firebronze flints, so I ordered 2 24 packs.
Also found this on Amazon and just ordered a pack to test. They're the same color as the Firebronze flints and they might be softer, but I'll have to test them to see.
All in all I just spent WAY too much money on flints but that should last me a few years.
As for the Dunhill Blues - They're the same size as a standard flint give or take .1mm and should work just fine. Dunhill Reds are a wider version used in some Dunhills.
You could try something like THIS stuff. It's a fluid with small particles of grit in it that increases the grip from the screwdriver tip to the screw head. I've never tried this particular product but used others like it with good results. It's also not a bad idea to get one of those sets with many sizes of Philips tips, the closer you get to a perfect fit the less likely it is you'll strip out the screwhead.
Good luck!
Just realised I’m gonna have to keep coming back to this comment because my phone is bugging out and won’t let me copy paste links here but I’ll have atleast one for each type I mentioned earlier linked eventuallu
Ay my bad for the late af response bro lol I thought I had already replied sorry tho lol
Anyway. For fires a lighter I can recommend is This I have this myself and I’ve found if you overfill it with butane a little more than you’re meant to it shoots a HUGE flame that goes maybe 10-12 inches long. Good for if you don’t want to get too close to whatever you’re lighting also it looks pretty cool and could be good for a collection idk. It is pretty big though about a full hand big idk the exact measurements it also doubles for deserts like créme brûlée
Yeah that's it, thanks, the closest one to what it looked like is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Permanent-Matchstick-Refillable-Chargeable-Electronic/dp/B08RDSYLZ2
The exact one in your hand looks like a "Pioneer Triple Torch Auto Flame Lighter." Amazon is currently sold out.
Needle nose pliers or fint tip precision tweezers.
I use a set like this, the two on the right are most useful.
Do you hear a hissing noise when you open the top? If not, then the butane may not be making it into the lighter. I can't remember whether or not I had to use one of the adapter nozzles that come with Colibri butane or not on the one Colibri lighter I had (as in, I forgot I had it in my pipe pouch and went through TSA with it.) But you may need to use an adapter for the butane can nozzle to get it in there. I know both Xikar and Colibri brand butane comes with them in the cap.
https://www.amazon.com/Colibri-Premium-Butane-Large-Can/dp/B00A8MRW2E
sorry i may be using the wrong term, i need something like this https://www.amazon.com/Lighter-Replacement-Repair-Flints-Spring/dp/B08ZC9GM61 but i dont think that the one i linked would fit. the spot on the bottom of the lighter is small, and i think the screw wouldnt fit the recessed area.
Looks really cool in there! Found some on amazon
I’ve had one of these for years I have left it outside in snow taking it back packing spilled beer on it and the thing is still going strong https://www.amazon.com/Blazer-189-2188-PB207CR-Refillable-Lighter/dp/B00ITN16EE/ref=pb_allspark_purchase_sims_desktop_2_sccl_5/145-1859409-7605155?pd_rd_w=zklMF&pf_rd_p=a1d1c068-dee3-40e3-b447-9c25978d3ec6&pf_rd_r=PQWD0CGEAH1FJKE8H0GV&...
The Turbojet Ranger Twin disagrees.

I bought one in 2013 and passed it to my brother the next year, he's still got it, That think does not look like it will last 2 years let alone 8.
thanks for the help. i did some more digging and found something that i think is exactly what i'm looking for
https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Z-PLUS-BUTANE-REPLACEMENT-INSERT-LIGHTERS/dp/B007W5BN70
a standard butane lighter but with a soft flame
Mine broke a while ago, so I wanted to buy one and genuinely spent hours looking for this fucking thing. It's absurdly difficult to find, your searches just get filled with regular clippers and apparently barely anyone even knows about these ones. The clipper website doesn't even acknowledge their existence.
In the end, I managed to find one being sold in the depths of amazons shitty search engine:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Clipper-Petrol-Gasoline-Cigarette-Lighter/dp/B01GR685J8/?m=A2RBR6644KL55J
I dont know much, I know zippo makes some official ones, thunderbird makes some, and the one I currently have is this, by morisk, it doesnt advertise it as such but it fits perfectly on a zippo case, have tried it with my friends zippo, and its actually really good.
This one should do it.

Shouldn't be fooled by their story of being 'engineers who created a revolutionary product' they buy it from here so you can save yourself the middleman
Ah yes, the pipe lighter. I absolutely love this one. Here's the link to where I got it if you're interested in buying it! https://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Duty-Vintage-Lighter-Cigarette-Refillable/dp/B07V6V9SX5/ref=mp_s_a_1_64?crid=20NPJU73DUYGV&keywords=trench+lighter&qid=1638560770&sprefix=tre%2Caps%2C226&sr=8-64
They’re definitely costlier than a Bic, but I wouldn’t say they’re priced much higher than any other refillable lighter. This looks fairly close to OP’s lighter.
Amazon and it was a few months ago so pretty recent. It's not cheap but it's also not super expensive like some of them are and for a 360 degree designed zippo it's reasonable in my opinion.

It just looks like some sort of generic silver butane lighter. It looks like a similar shape to this - https://www.amazon.com/CLIPPER-Cigarette-Butane-Lighter-Silver/dp/B01GPCLBSQ/ref=sr\_1\_20?dchild=1&keywords=silver%2Bbutane%2Blighter&qid=1635820781&qsid=134-8126884-0702937&sr=8-20&sres=B07XSCC887%2CB07YHNP7KZ%2CB07V2HKR3V%2C...
It has a roll off safety in the button:

Check out the Maratac Peanut XL. Great quality, made in US, very reliable. Maybe not great in the wind.
Another option is to minimize fuel evaporation in your Zippo by using a gasket
Nice lighter.
Use Newport butane; it is both higher quality gas and has a huge variety of adapter tips built into the cap:

Something like this?

Safe to assume the clutch spring is what will lock the flint wheel to the actuation arm to cause rotation and thus spark when lifted?
That's "lighter fluid". It's a liquid for zippos and other lighters with a wick. You pour the liquid in. Given how jacked up the tip is, I'm gonna assume you have a lighter that uses pressurized butane gas. You need pressurized cans filled with butane gas that push on and hold for a few seconds to fill. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BXV4726/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_GSJB27WHZPQ6XFH3WWQP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I'd say it's somewhat similar to a rivet, I tried many different sized rivets but was never able to find a correct size to fit through the flint wheel.
What I used was a d-sub pin contact, used in electrical plugs (think the pins evenly spaced inside an old plug that would line up with the contacts of the input your connecting too, similar to the one shown here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07THFMLPQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_X5NH95FEJP041BVQ43GN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 )
I clipped off the shorter end of that (the end with the hole perpendicular to the pin), leaving me with basically a hollow tube with a shoulder on the end, which prevents the pin from passing all the way thru.
Then I lined up the wholeole lever mechanism and fed the pin thru, leaving probably 1/16" coming out the other end. Then I took a flaring tool (like this https://www.acehardware.com/brands/ace/45221?x429=true&gclid=Cj0KCQjwk4yGBhDQARIsACGfAevKD_WOSaWQ9h2RCavUtQDg5-Wl4Kd2geDawl7n86ZIrcjqwZiAliIaAqpfEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) and used that to expand the edge, preventing the pin from falling through the original direction.
I probably made it sound complicated, and being a bit unorthodox, i am extremely pleased with how it turned out. So long as you file the shoulder side down so there's not a huge nub sticking out, it basically looks like it was made for the lighter, doesn't look odd at all!
Well they already answered you, but I use Zippo brand naphtha
Just buy a can of Newport Butane; it has a Dunhill adapter in the cap.
https://www.amazon.com/Newport-300ml-Purified-Butane-Impurities/dp/B00GMPCBHC/
According to my can, the Red adapter is the dunhill one.
Newport is also some of the best butane around for lighters, and is made in England.
There is a sort of metal clipper thats made in spain.
Its a spanish medium sized plastic clipper, that is the covered in a form fitting metal sheath.
https://www.amazon.com/Refillable-Original-Clipper-Lighters-Removable/dp/B00IHM6QRY
Glad it worked out for you, but that seems like an awful lot of steps just to refill your lighter.
I'll ask first, you sure you purged your lighters before you refilled them? Triple jet torch lighters, even when they seem like they have no fuel left, actually have a lot of butane left in the tank. It's just not enough to fuel all 3 jets even when you crank the gas output to the max. Purging the tank both of the butane and the propellant makes it significantly easier to fill without needing to remove the case and all that other stuff.
Another suggestion I'll give is that you could buy some food grade tubing that fits on your butane canister nozzle. It's really cheap and it provides a better seal on fill valves.
This is what I use, comes with multiple adapters for all vintage lighters. I use it on all my butane lighters.
DO NOT but dunhill butane its hella expensive, really any super filtered butane will work just don't get Ronsons butane, shit will gum up pretty much all butane lighters including Ronsons. The stuff I link is affordable and even comes with plastic adapters and they do the job.
Hope it is ok to put amazon links here.
These are called grub screws, great for when you don't want a bolt or screw head sticking out. The head looks like a triangle security head. You can get sets of screwdrivers for these in most places, for example
Triangle Screwdriver - PENGGONG 4mm 3.5mm 3mm 2.5mm 2mm S2 Steel Magnetic Triangle Screwdriver 5pcs https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01FTLPABS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_3mHCDbJEEFS7D
You can buy sets of grub screws with different heads for more convenience if you want to replace this one. You can get slotted head, star, Allen key. Have a look on Amazon or eBay. Good luck, it's a nice lighter.
Thx. Found an equivalent stateside: https://www.amazon.com/XIFEI-Keychain-Emergency-Survival-Temporary/dp/B088DVXFD3/

Hey OP, I bought this torch lighter about 3 or 4 years ago and it's still trucking through. Its was used 2 to 3 times a week (precovid) passed around a large group of friends to light our cigars. It holds a good amount of butane and always gets the job done. They have other options to get that are more similar to the ones you were looking at and cheaper.

Flitz metal polish works great on most metals, and is fairly gentle:
https://www.amazon.com/Flitz-Plastic-Fiberglass-1-76-Ounce-Blister/dp/B000MUSOW4
You just rub it on then wipe it off with a cloth / q tip.
Do not get this in the spark wheel mechanism. The lighter will die.
These work incredibly well while being totally gentle on the metal. I use them on my Dupont, and it never scratches the silver. Highly recommend

There’s these, but sorry I couldn’t find the ones in the pic
I saw an amazon listing a few mins ago and it reminded me of this. Not sure if this is helpful or not but figured I would pass it on

The review is entitled "center heating coil not solid/stable"
>This is awesome!
Thanks!
>What country did you buy it from?
Well, Amazon, not sure where it shipped from tho.
>Also, do you know if the symbol is related to the Tree of Life or if it's simply a tree?
The collection is called Tree of Life so I guess it's related heh. There's this brass one, and an antique silver one, but the silver one is decorated all over the case, basically like an armor zippo.
>The fire underneath is interesting and I'd love to know the meaning of it all.
The little fire underneath is actually the zippo logo....errr, maybe not the "logo" but zippo uses it all over the place, just look at the official zippo logo, the fire is over the "i".
>How much did you shell out for this beautiful device?
The brass one is cca. 20-30$, the antique silver is around 55$. I paid shipping on top of that. Here, I'll link on amazon where I got it from, BUT, beware the brass one has some weird discoloration where the sticker was for example, I don't mind it, but tought you should know. Link
Dunhill brand butane does indeed come equipped to fill a Rollagas. It's pretty hard to find, but I ended up ordering it here: https://www.iwanries.com/Dunhill-Butane-P6798C1433.cfm
This Vector also comes with the appropriate adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Vector-KGM-Filtered-Premium-Refined/dp/B077H5VMGL/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=vector+butane&qid=1560519941&s=gateway&sr=8-5
I've always used Dunhill butane in mine as it's supposed to be better at not gunking it up. That may just be marketing, though.
You just need to use a fuel adapter. It uses an old style needle valve.
Newport Gas (as well as several other butanes) come with a bunch of little plastic adapters in the cap:
https://www.amazon.com/Newport-300ml-Purified-Butane-Impurities/dp/B00GMPCBHC
The red adapter will let you fill the lighter.
This plasma lighter is one of the best plasma lighters as far as I know. I totally agree with the review under this listing, "there is so much more area(room) to light whatever your lighting" "you won't find any fingerprints after using this WINDVAPE electric arc lighter."
https://www.amazon.com/Windvape-Windproof-Electric-Lighter-Anti-Fingerprint/dp/B01M71VGBX
If he's a full-time pack a day smoker, i'd suggest buying him a bulk pack of lighters. Usually you can find those in that 20-30 range. Sometimes a bit higher if he's worth the price.
edit: something like this
A douglas field s lighter is water proof and claims to hold its fuel for a year. http://www.amazon.com/Douglass-Lighter-Field-S-Black-Ice-2/dp/B00CJ2WLUY/ref=pd_sim_sbs_201_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=416ZEnqfkIL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1SP34JAR8SGDGWHQ08AR
Also, if you do purchase an insert or a cigar lighter, make sure to only fill it with a high quality butane, stay away from the walmart shit. I use this.
I used to use one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TRIXES-Permanent-Lighter-Striker-Military/dp/B00GS07NAG/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1420556908&sr=8-9&keywords=windproof+match
Only stopped because my ex stole it and have a couple of zippo's now ;D
