I liked Cave Story (the free-to-play original, for some reason I like that one the best) but my favourite Indie game is I Wanna Be the Guy. I used to play that game all the time, but when my old craptop died I had to download it again, but the new one kept crashing constantly.
And I don't know if you would call these "Indie games" or not, but Armor Games is a game site filled almost entirely with user-generated games of surprisingly high quality. The brothers who made Haunt the House and Detective Grimoire (the original web prequels are still available on the site) used to lurk there, too.
EDIT: Heh, my own sub's spam filter yelled at me because I linked to something.
You people seriously need to suggest stuff.
So, uh, what happened this week? I know FNAF4 got a surprise early release but I don't remember much else besides that.
Anyways, for things going to happen in the upcoming week; Summer Games Done Quick, a speedrunning marathon for charity is beginning on Sunday. You can find more information on the event here at its website.
In other news, Pixels, the Adam Sandler "comedy" about aliens invading Earth using retro video games, releases in theaters today. For more information, go to Netflix, start a free month-long trial, and watch Futurama's "Anthology of Interest II".
I usually have more news to report than this so I guess i'll just say some thoughts on the subreddit: Real Talk. We need more posts. Seriously, at this point RMVF accounts for about 99% of the posts here and that's not good. The best way to fix this is to have more posts and activity, but when we're a subreddit about (basically) two LP shows we don't have much base content. this, coupled with our already (comparatively) low subscriber count raises the question: How do we get more activity here? For now let's just work on posting non-RMVF posts.
Remember to suggest something for next week, and ways to get more activity on the sub below!
