You do in fact need to find your own mole, and they can actually speak English. Most people don’t know that.
So, it’s gonna be tough to bring the hatchet down when that furry little face is begging for mercy, but we’re talking about fitteds here bro. There’s gonna be some collateral damage.
Edit: nah but fr, Amazon lol.

I personally found a steamer at Ross for like 7 bucks. Here’s a cheap option on Amazon.

I have this rack and absolutely love it. You can customize the layout. Each little square holds up to 7 hats, keeps the dust off, and has easy access. Rack on Amazon
Use this, stick it in the sweatband. If it's just a little too big, a 3-6" strip at the back will do it. If it's a whole size, you can line the entire sweatband or back 4 panels.

If it's just that and you don't want to pay return shipping, you can use a teapot and bump cap. Stick the bump cap in the hat, steam the hat, use your hand to smooth the hat over the form of the bump cap. Dre in the 616 on YouTube has videos on how to do it. I've saved some pretty mangled hats because certain drops, you can't do exchanges. They sell out in 5 secs and you wear the hat you get. You have to learn to how shrink, stretch, reshape etc.
Here is the best bump cap to use
Just found this on Amazon and ordered it. The dimensions are bigger than the new era brand cap carrier and one of the pictures in the reviews looks like it is larger than the new era brand

I just bought this the other day. It did about 20 hats and now it’s empty. It’s too early to say exactly how well it’ll work. But my son wears his fitteds to play baseball etc so we’ll see how does pretty soon. Amazon hat protector spray
assuming that your primary goal is to fit circumferentially, the least invasive way to do that is use a sweatband liner
if overall shrinkage is your goal, you do have to keep in mind the material of which it's made. polyester will be the hardest to shrink with the least amount of shrinkage; it's synthetic. wool and cotton respond well as they're organic material. i've had decent results with wetting, not dousing, and then wearing immediately after to dry. there are tutorials on youtube. wearing after will allow the hat to form fit to your head as it dries.
i've inadvertently had shrinkage by leaving the hat in a hot car, too. but you'd have to monitor to make sure it doesn't shrink too far.
It’s actually the logo of a Japanese baseball team, the Chunici Dragons. I got the hat via Amazon japan.

From Amazon I was pretty happy with the result!
Well I love them for display purposes. I have 48 of the tubs but I only have one hat in each one. (However, you COULD get like 3-5 hats in each display box if you wanted.)
Personally, for pure storage, I would recommend something like this. It’s compact, pretty cheap, and you can fit a ton of hats in there.
You can buy a hat-stretcher on Amazon for a couple of bucks. I have a large nugget, so the 8’s I buy off the new era site don’t always quite fit. I set a small pot of water to boil on the stove, then when it’s rolling, I hold the hat over it for 20-30 seconds. Then I put the stretcher to it and let that bad boy chill somewhere for a day or two. The steam helps the fabric relax, making it easier to stretch.
Get yourself this hat stretcher soak the headband, put the hat back in and let it dry over night and it’ll stretch your hat out. If you’re a collection you’ll use this more than you think.
I wear size 7 1/2. If I can’t get my size I go up and use these foam inserts. There are other options, but I go up a size and use these.

Here you go! They work great, you can fit 3 in each box comfortably. Honestly probably more but I try not to ever have more than three stacked together just as a general rule.

just bought these, figured i can fit around 25-30 hats in each box. will update once i get them all set up!
It is much easier to shrink than stretch. I dip mine in almost-boiling water, then put it in the device linked below. Put it in the dryer on medium for 10 minutes. Repeat the process as needed.

I saw a thread on here one time recommending stackable shoe boxes from amazon. I’m sitting around 60 hats at the moment so I gave them a try. So far they’ve been great. Plus I can break them down and stack them in just about any configuration I want.
The best part is they’re relatively cheap. Because of space, I store 3 to a box at the moment, but I plan on separating them more once we move in a few months.
Here’s a link just in case:

You could get a hatjack to stretch it out a bit. Typically new era hats can be stretched up to 2 sizes larger than the original hat size. So you could stretch your size 7 to 7 1/4 theoretically.
depends on your definition of cheap.. I use these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WNP9VB7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZdsdFbAPZCJ85
I installed a few shelving brackets and a closet rod on my wall to hang them outside of the closet. you can get a couple racks and everything else you need for around the same price of a hat.
I just bought this hat, interestingly. A 59fifty with an adjustable back is called a 9fifty, as I understand it.
Anyway, here is the link I use on amazon.
Can you tell me what the size of my hat by choosing the size here? Because I don't understand.
