If you like disc golf, check out Lemon Lake Park in Cedar Lake (world tourney was held there a few years ago). Click here for google map. Parking is like $8 bucks though.
Check out the Trek Store in Schererville for biking. They do a ton of biking stuff year-round. Link
Buddy and Pal's in Crown Point (also in Schererville but not as good as the CP location) is a good place for drinks and bands. Also the square in Crown Point is where most of the young folk in the area go on the weekends for drinkies.
That's all I can think of for now.
There is a Chesterton Town Council meeting this Monday, June 8, 2020. The Chesterton Police Department, as far as they are aware, said the Town Council will hold this meeting remotely, like all the others during the pandemic.
During normal times, the Town Council Meetings are held at 726 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304 at 7:00 PM. This would be a perfect place and time to stage a protest in solidarity of those who have unjustly lost their lives to police brutality and the politicians and local officials that let them get away from it time after time.
I am not on FaceBook, but if anyone sees any organized activities for the upcoming Town Council Meeting, would they please post the information here?
I don't on my phone, but do on my computer at home. I would like to eventually have a setup on google maps like the website does, but I don't know how to do that yet. I also highly recommend SPV's comprehensive railroad atlas of North America: Great Lakes East it has really helped me find a lot of abandoned right of way that we go exploring along.
