Buy a different set of paint brushes as others have said. I got this cheapo set from Amazon that's been treating me well: https://www.amazon.com/Heartybay-10Pieces-Round-Pointed-Nylon/dp/B00V4EG6D6/ref=lp_12920001011_1_1?srs=12920001011&ie=UTF8&qid=1535485885&sr=8-1
Something I noticed as a newbie painter, don't smoosh the brushes when they're drying otherwise they become wonky and won't paint very well! I kinda ruined one of those brushes by just shoving it into a bag and it dried pressed up against the bottom of the bag and I couldn't recover it. Luckily I had more!
Some people like to paint from corner to corner, others like to paint one number at a time, there is no right way! If you paint from corner to corner, really wash and dry your brush between color changes. Personally I think that takes a lot more patience, so I like to paint one number at a time. If you do choose to paint one number at a time, I'd still say work from corner to corner to ensure you don't end up smudging areas of your painting by backtracking. Another tip is the paint will start drying out if you do one number at a time, dip your brush in water and drip a few drops of water into it to get it back to the right consistency. I can see why painting from corner to corner is beneficial, because that way the paints won't dry out as easily if you close them properly.
If you mess up a color, let it dry completely and paint over it, no harm done! You might need a few coats, but you'll be able to fix it. Sometimes you will end up going out the lines - don't worry about it! You haven't ruined anything if you do so, just make a mental note to fix it later. All in all, this can be a super relaxing hobby, so don't overthink it :) I'd recommend posting progress pics too, it's fun to see your painting come to life!

These are my MVP brushes. I can do anything with the number 6 brush as the point is so sharp. You get such a great selection of width and brush length. I don’t think you would be disappointed.

I did one with beautiful colors to mix as well as blending in the background!
Sorry this comment is a bit late, I have never ordered from this company, I’ve always just gotten mine from Amazon. But I did find the first stormtrooper one on Amazon here and the first Darth Vader one here! They both seem to have good reviews and pictures people posted with their reviews look pretty good! I might have to get some for myself! Hope this helped for you!
I don’t know if it’s the best. But it’s what I’ve used and had decent results. I used a different thinner flow improver before and it was rubbish.
I use www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001TNR7VM to clean and condition my brushes which keeps them in fab condition too.
If you're looking to go top shelf, this is the one sold in Schipper's online store, which is the gold standard of paint by number.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y0PSGT8
But again, I've never tried it.
another thing I just thought of...some people have used nail art brushes as well, and when I looked at them myself, many of those sets included things called dotting pens.
That particular link is just dotters, but every other 'nail art brush' includes them.
Though I didn't really like the brushes themselves in the one I got and am going to swap them out for Army Painter mini brushes I think I might've mentioned elsewhere.

Hi there,
I'm the owner of OurPaintAddictions. I would not stress about staying perfectly in the lines. Usually these kits are so detailed that if you barely go outside of the lines, you will not even noticed when you finish the project and look at it from 5ft+ away.
But if you're really worried about staying perfectly in the lines, I would suggest getting a magnifying glass with light to help you make more precise brush strokes. You can find cheaper hand-held ones as well on Amazon.
But sit back, relax, and just have fun with this. These kits are made to look nice regardless of experience or staying perfectly in the lines
I have this one I'm going to start soon. I think it's cool.
I also have this on my wishlist to buy soon. It's a little more abstract.
Anyway if you don't mind Amazon just search "paint by numbers" plus any of those keywords you wrote above and things come up, I've searched them before. There are some cool planet ones for sure that I've seen. Just make sure you don't order a diamond painting by mistake, they always show up in PBN search results and are impossible to filter out.
I've seen this one on Amazon before. It's been on my wishlist for a while. Here
I found an Amazon link for it.
I don’t know whether you could just ask to purchase the paint separately or have to buy the whole set.
You could do a reverse image search on the pic of the finished piece now you have it, to find other sellers.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need anymore help!
I’ve imagined photos as paint by numbers too, and I even had a photo made into a pbn from a seller on Amazon. It came out great! The paint quality was also awesome!

A couple of the trees at the bottom were supposed to be pink but I changed it to dark blue. And a few small spots on the elk I did the same. But mostly followed the guidelines!

I also use a foam board and actually use post it notes to attach the canvas, but tape is probably better. I ordered this set of 5 from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IWSHEB0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I always use a 3/0 (also called 000 sometimes). I like the ones with the fatter grip too. Just search 3/0 paintbrush or miniatures paintbrush on Amazon, in my experience the brand doesn't really matter.

Some people on here recently finished this fox one and said it was super challenging. Lots of skinny precise lines.
Amazon but it's out of stock when I checked again . Maybe a similar website might have this?
Get it while it's available! I had to wait a few months while it was out of stock
Here's the link to the project. Although this item includes a frame, there were dried paint pots when I did this. The same thing happened to my chipmunk painting two months ago.
Goodness I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you! This was from Amazon. here's the link.

This is the one I bought. As a heads up though, they packaged it folded up and the folds were pretty hard to get out even with a steam iron. There were only a few unmarked sections in both the actual canvas and the key but it was pretty easy to figure out which was which.
I’ve seen this same design while browsing on AliExpress too so not sure if you want to look for other sellers for this same design but nonetheless it’s such a pretty design and challenging to do!
I use this product from Amazon. I add a few drops at a time plus a few drops of water if necessary and stir with a toothpick. Works great.

This painting had 24 paint pots but half of the painting only required these paints on very few areas. I think that's one of the reasons why I was able to speed through this. Also, I agree with the reviews on Amazon. The headpiece does look more purplish than the photo card. When I searched the actual portrait image, I saw both headbands in purple and blue. I wonder if color contrast has something to do with it.
> If you search something along the lines of "paint by numbers up", you should find a couple of sellers with these kits. > > This one is quite nice as it comes pre-framed and is also 20% off right now!
I got this on Amazon. If you search "Paint by numbers up" on there, you should find them. This one seems quite nice as it comes pre-framed and is also 20% off right now!
Hey, thanks a lot! I got this on Amazon. If you search something along the lines of "paint by numbers up", you should find a couple of sellers with these kits.

Amazon, but watch shipping costs and times bc when I got it it had to come from Germany. I think Schipper also has a site. Happy painting!
I work with a magnifier that i attach to my easel. Makes everything so much easier.

I recently bought these acrylic markers Artistro markers they are fantastic. Much cheaper than POSCA.
I used it as a first layer for an orange colour before going over it with the provided paint. Worked really well after trying 3 coats of the provided paint and the numbers were still visible.
thanks! :)
Street in Winter from amazon.
Just know there's lots and lots of tiny spaces. And a decent chunk of unmarked too (but most of its either 5 or 7 blue, so you could probably just pick one). Also
This is it Gosh I’ve made loads of mistakes! Mostly I think because the numbers and spaces are so small and I’ve struggled with brush sizing. A little because I drank some red wine whilst doing it the other night and got a bit gung ho with painting 🤣
Thank you! This is from Dimensions and I got it from Amazon. Good luck to you.

My husband got it on Amazon but I hate it. It’s really flimsy. It looks like Amazon Germany is the only good option at the moment.
I bought (from Amazon) a magnifier with a light that I clip on to my easel to help paint the tiny sections - has helped me immensely. If you work on a flat table, you can also get ones on a stand.

Hi! I couldn't find a place for just the paints, but I did find multiple options of that painting on Amazon, so maybe you could just buy the painting again and use the paints?
Here's a link to one that I found, but there were others, as well.
It was this cheap one on Amazon that I found. The brushes don’t seem that great. If I may ask, how many and what kind of brushes did you use? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YKFJNR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GVS8Db4M3C7P1
Sorry for so many questions
You're welcome! Yes, this is the one I use. Some people like sprays, others like to apply with a paint brush. It's just a matter of personal preference.

I've tried gesso twice. The first time diluted, and I didn't like it. The second time, for my current WIP, I went straight gesso, and what a difference! Thanks for sending the link to the brushes! I have these coming today: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006VO5NRE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, but I may get the ones you suggested too.

This triptych! I just started the last one of the bunch. I hemmed and hawed because of the price but I gave it to myself as a gift when I got a new job. Amz got it here incredibly fast (like two weeks, if even) and I'm blown away by the quality. The paint isn't even close to drying out even though I'm on the third one, and where most pbn have 20ish colors this one has over 40. The difference really shows in the skies.
I do love cheap pbn but schipper is really impressive.
it looks like all of them but the stag are from this set. Its one of the first ones I added to my wishlist when I decided this was a thing I was going to try.
If you’re going to do another one, I would definitely recommend a magnifier. The one I got has a clamp so you can attach it to the table, leaving both hands free.

Dimensions paint works, I got it off amazon. FYI, It comes on a canvas like board instead of a folded or rolled canvas. And about half of the colors you do have to mix. I personally loved the board and the freedom of mixing colors but some ppl hate it.
