Hey, I just switched from the Pixel Buds (2020) to the A series buds last week and after some research it seems that the difference in case size is minimal, just the outside status light is by the case opening on the A series and not at the bottom.
I decided to try this case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B3JNVH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_FZVVV5WXFYXA9Y9YHR6X
It is for basically both kinds. It fits the A series well and is snug enough not to fall off them and the status light is very visible through the opaque case. I love it so far.
Hope this helped 😀
If you feel like tweaking the EQ at all, I heartily recommend Wavelet. Its AutoEQ preset for the Pixel Buds 2 is pretty great. A little bit more low end and just a cleaner sound overall.
I was at the Google store and when I asked they said you can still use the same case thats for the regular buds and it will fit just won't show the led
Also I found this case on Amazon recently. Just can't justify the price tho

Super helpful, thanks so much! It appears online I should probably purchase the "Medium/Small" option then?
https://www.amazon.ca/SpinFit-CP360-Patented-Silicone-Replacement/dp/B07PJNRGNH/
Sounds like you ordered the "Large/Medium" option correct?
I almost ordered the "Small/X-Small" by accident not realizing, the x-small is probably tiny I'm guessing though because the smallest Pixel Buds tips are absolutely tiny and it sounds like those would be even smaller :x
If you haven't already, you might consider using the Wavelet EQ app to liven up the PB2 sound a bit. I think the first-gen Buds definitely were a bit fuller sounding, but I'm really enjoying the PB2 sound after applying the AutoEQ preset in Wavelet.
While I wait for the Nomad Rugged case to be available again, I’m using this Katloo case I found on Amazon. I think the Nomad will also fit in the Katloo if I ever feel like I need them in a hard-shell case. Many of the other cases I saw were too small, too large, or did not list the dimensions at all. Here are the dimensions of the cases and the link to the Katloo case.
Pixel Buds Case 63x47x25mm (outside dimensions)
Nomad Rugged Case 68.1x53.3x29.3mm (outside dimensions)
Katloo Case 69.85x54.84x34.04 (inside dimensions)
I'd also say maybe consider getting a case to put it in - something like [https://smile.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-Armor-Designed-Google/dp/B0B24NB2JW/](this Spidgen one with a carabiner). It'll add a little bit more bulk so it's more noticeable if it falls out of your pocket (if you absolutely must keep the case in your pocket). Also maybe consider buying a Tile and attaching it to the carabiner so you can find it a little easier if the battery dies and it might've been moved by someone since the last known location was reported to Find my Device.
Nomad case has been out of stock when I looked (and pricey!)
Has anyone used the Fintie case?
My husband has the rugged Spigen one...but to be different (and difficult) I wanted something else. I like the look of the Spigen Hybrid, but reviews (at least on Amazon) aren't overwhelmingly positive.
I didn't know about the tape...I'd be constantly worrying about it failing or leaving residue.
Anyway I'm leaning toward getting this one.
Kinda basic but I like the look of it and was definitely planning on attaching it to my keychain.
Update I just got the SpinFit CP1025 with the CPA2 adapters. They are meant to fit the samsung galaxy buds pro. They do fit the Pixel Buds pro.
It took some tinkering but I got the small tips to work. I ordered the M/S size tips. Normally the small tips are what I use. I could not get the medium size tips to pass the seal check. Maybe a bit more tinkering would do it but it was definitely not easy. The small tips were a little bit easier but still took some work.
I got them to pass the seal check with the small tips. I can definitely say that the sound is a little better on the base side of things and definitely fit a bit tighter which I do appreciate. ANC is a bit better as well.
Overall I would definitely buy these if you use the small size tips like me. If you use bigger tips, good luck is all I can say. Here is the link to the ones I bought below. Enjoy :)
I got my wife one of theseand it's .... fine.
I'm not sure if there are any other or better options.
I actually tried the CP360's first. They did not solve my issue and I returned them. Here is the link I ordered from.
Just to follow up on this, I ended up finding these plastic tips that worked great for extending the stabilizers, although it made the charging case impossible to close.
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0781FFMYX
Personally speaking, the buds would still fall out of my ears, even with the extenders. I guess my ears just aren't suitable for in-ear buds.
I bought this:
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08CCXZMRH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
It's a tight fit but it stays on.
Amazon UK (link below) for me as I'm from UK, they had all 3 sizes and the mediums for me are perfect. If you go with Spinfit I find that they usually run the same as general tips. i.e. I'm a medium in most eartips and with Spinfit I'm also a medium.
As an example though, whilst I'm a medium in eartips nearly all the time, for the SednaEarfit I'm a small.
I was experimenting with Cat-ears today.. I bought these several years ago but they didn't help then. Figured I'd try it again on this headset.. Problem is, I lost one - so only had one on one side.. I covered the other side with this mesh-cloth thingy just for testing. It works! the cat-ears better then my diy mesh cloth.. It does require re-positioning tho (the original position I had them on didn't work, but once I sled it down it was much better). It doesn't eliminate the wind noise, but it equalizes it (where it's a steady hum instead of once in a while screechy wind..) FYI refering to this one - https://www.amazon.com/Cat-Ears-Classic-Cycling-Noise-Reducer/dp/B01J2GDPFO - now if I could only find the other:(
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BLJTDCM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
had this case for my Pixel Buds 2. Stretches enough to fit the Pixel Buds Pro comfortably enough. Just can't see the indicator light on the buds case at all. Will definitely get one specifically for the Buds Pro once available but this is a decent and cheap option for anyone in a pinch.
Thanks! Idk if you saw above or elsewhere on the subreddit. But there is one from Spigen rugged armor case estimated delivery date Sep 7th-21st

Just pre-ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor Pixel Buds Pro Case on Amazon. Have to wait a month, but looks like a good rugged case
I should have looked on Amazon before I posted, instead I only Googled.
I might try these.
For $8 you get 6 pair, but it's 2 of each size. Too bad 8 can't just get 6 pair of small at that price. I'd jump all over it. Will report back if I go with these.
Wow! Having a heck of a time finding any covers for my PBP case. Seems the only one that is available is the Nomad leather...and I am not purchasing a cover in order to add more chores to my life by taking care of and conditioning it.
Tried these and received an email and refund from the seller saying the manu sent them cases the wrong size for the PBP - https://www.amazon.com/Shockproof-Visible-Silicone-Keychain-%EF%BC%88Black%EF%BC%89/dp/B0B77H3CKC/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3E4QDQX7412L5&keywords=pixel+buds+pro+case&qid=1659450754&sprefix=pixel+buds+pro+case%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-4
The search continues for a cover that isn't leather.
I don't have a reco, but I do have a warning to avoid this one:

I just wanted something cheap for basic protection that I could clip inside my backpack while I wait for the Spigens of the world to catch up. I should have believed the several reviews that complained about the little fabric loop where the carabiner attaches being a failure point. Indeed, mine ripped off and I found the naked carabiner still clipped and the case loose in the bottom of my backpack on day 3. Just a heads up not to clip this to the outside of a bag or jacket or whatever, or you'll be out a $200 pair of buds.
I guess this should work out well, and is about the same price as the conductive epoxy. Not sure what the drying time will be since it'll be a thicker layer, but I could always do it in multiple layers
These are AMAZING for the price (I paid $100 and still totally worth it at the time).
Great ANC, awesome sound, loads of customization.

Just installed this, works great.
I got these spinfit ear tips. The original mediums would hurt my right ear after long sessions, and I felt like the small didn't have a good enough seal on them. Got the spinfit a few days ago and they are a lot better than the tips that it came with.
I've had the same issue and did a search back in May for replacements. On a random recommendation on a different Reddit thread, I bought these to tryI bought these to try. They have worked really well for me, and you can pick different sizes to fit your comfort, I got medium/small as that seemed to be standard. They're good quality and a different texture service I think is what keeps them in better.

Install the app. If you have a non pixel phone it will show as a individual app. If you run it on a pixel it will automatically show in the Bluetooth settings.
If none of that happens, forget your buds, go into settings, applications, and clear data and cache of Pixel Buds app. Connect to your buds and it's gonna show.
I had the same problem. I replaced the tips that came with the buds with this.
SpinFit CP360 for True Wireless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJNRGNH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Much better fit. Though you might have to use different sizes for each year.
I started using these because of the same reason and they definitely fit better. A little snug in the case but as long as they don't fall out my ears, I am okay.

Wife got me a spigen case off amazon for Christmas, and it's great!

Pixel 3 on Android 10 should be built in. Going to the App page will only give you an Open option. All the options are built in to the Bluetooth menu option.

I received my pixel buds 2 a few days ago. I am still waiting for my Pixel 5 phone to be delivered so I have to pair them to my iphone 11 pro max for now. They sound amazing. They are so much better than the first pixel buds which were decent but trash when it came to charging. I can't wait to unlock the buds full potential after I get my android phone. No cutouts so far. I even ordered the protective case which looks and works great!
Spigen Rugged Armor Case for Pixel Buds 2 - Matte Black (Amazon)
Would this one work? And what do you mean upside down, as in place the pixel buds upside down and it charges?
The SpinFit CP360's fit the pixelbuds. I and some others have recommended them on here recently since they fit up into the ear better and provide a better seal (though everybody's ears are different, but for me, they stay in better and fit better).
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B088G133C6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share it's an Amazon UK link so if you're from a different market it might be worth copying the product name and searching, but here you go. I'm really pleased with it. It's a bit harder to open one handed but it offers so much more protection and peace of mind that the buds won't ever shake loose... Even if they probably wouldn't anyway
I have some bud buttons. Don't use them much since wearing the buds around my neck trigger play pause, but I'll try again after this latest update.
