My only complaint is that there is no drainage hole, but I used a diamond-tipped drill bit to make my own pretty easily. I also got a little fox planter and 2 cool geometric ones- it has been a good week for pots!

It really wasn’t that much effort but I had help. We did it when we were mounting the TV.

Honestly I just found it at a local dollar store that sold lots of plant related things, but I found the same one online here!

What kind of soil do you have it in? When I repotted into Cactus & Succulent soil I made sure to loosen all the old soil from around the roots. It's so loosely packed that I can stick my index finger all the way in to see when it needs another water which tends to be every 2+ weeks at which point I thoroughly water it.
I'm guessing you live more south given the temperatures you're getting already (I'm envious!). You can definitely move it outside for the summer but limit its direct sunlight exposure. They love very bright indirect light (I have mine growing next to a north-facing bay window). So depending on where you live a handful of morning hours of direct light would be fine. If you're planning on leaving it outside permanently until it gets cooler than slowly acclimatize it by adding a few more hours of outside time per day.
I also use Miracle Gro 1-1-1 each time I water it. 4 pumps into my 48 ounce watering can.

I also do cut the stems after the flowers have dropped. I have several orchids and last year I left some of the stems on them to see what they would do. They did rebloom but it wasn't very aesthetically pleasing for me as the stems just grew out further and developed blooms on the newer parts, leaving the older empty stem nodes (I don't know what they're technically called) like an eyesore.

From what you’ve described it’s possible the gnat eggs are in your soil? Is it always the same soil where this is happening? Also once they’re in your house you basically will get them in ANY plant until you eliminate them entirely. The only way I completely eliminated mine was Bonide

I use small plates too, or plastic saucers like these.
But I’m not surprised more people are talking about drainage holes than trays. Not having a tray is an inconvenience, but not having a drainage hole is a death sentence (for many types of plants anyway).
