it’s bigger than it looks! this one also extends out with a tiny tent when unzipped in the back so the kitty can stretch their legs if you’re sitting around while out :) here’s the link if you’re interested! halinfer Back Expandable Cat... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XN88XTX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Lol oh no :(! I actually got a bonded pair, so her and her brother will wrestle and tire each other out. Was actually part of the reason I considered getting two! I got them this toy though that they seem to love, and it also gives me a break. It's so hard to keep up with them with all the energy they have, they're babies after all! https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06WP7F8YC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_dOaTj6oizocX7 It's like an auto wand on a rotating wheel thing. They go ape shit for it lol. Hope this helps?! Haha ¯_(ツ)_/¯
no problem :) yeah they are talking about cooked bones
i use this grinder:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D1TN7XS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
there's a file in the CRAP group i think that has a bunch of different grinders. Westons are popular and high quality but veryyy expensive. the one i have does the trick but the blades do dull after a while and then have trouble cutting through chicken skin lol
Thanks for the comment Human! It's a Mynwood Cat Jacket. I got it from Amazon. The link is below:
https://www.amazon.com/Food-Storage-Containers-Lids-Ounce/dp/B079FYQNV6
i portion them into these tupperware containers! i did have to buy a 5 cubic foot chest freezer to store them because they don't fit in my normal freezer lol. mine typically eat around 1-1.25 containers a day. the frozen ones do take about a day to thaw in the fridge so don't forget to transfer them ahead of time!
I use the Nature's Miracle Advanced Corner Hooded litter box for my 7 month ragdoll boy. It works pretty well for me, I haven't had any issues.

I also have two male Ragdolls. We have two trees made by Feandrea (sold at Chewy) that have been pretty sturdy for them. One of them has a basket that our bigger boy (15 pounds) loves to curl up in. This is it: https://www.chewy.com/feandrea-555-in-faux-fleece-cat-tree/dp/231834
My vet said the same and it was a struggle to find something my kitten likes that I can comfortably afford, but we’ve landed on this and it’s been 👌🏼

They don't have to eat much to get the nutrition and calories.
This doesn't look like much but was recommend by a groomer. It's a miracle at getting out loose hair that mats or that they'd swallow. Better than the furrminator that just cuts what ever it comes in contact with, without removing loose hair.
A steel comb:
I have a Furminator but you aren't supposed to use them on Ragdolls or Ragamuffins. It will de-fluff them too much and acn ruin their coat.
Yes. The only thing that really "domesticates" cats personalitywise is their exposure to people in kittenhood. It's why it's very hard to domesticate an adult feral cat but relatively easy to take feral kittens and raise them to be perfectly great pets.
This book goes into it more: https://smile.amazon.com/Cat-Sense-Feline-Science-Better-ebook/dp/B00BKRW528/
I'm sure you will as well.
Make sure you have one of these, it'll come in handy when they get their normal coat.

A dyson cordless that has a good head that hair wont get tangled in is a real plus. At 53 I finally got one. Wished I had yeaaaaars ago!
This is a miracle!!! Removes loose hair without cutting it like a furrminator would. It was recommended to me by a cat groomer who my cats only saw once because one of them is too frightened.
https://www.chewy.com/master-grooming-tools-ergonomic/dp/238645
Does she have a house? Or a cat tree with a little hidey hole? I just recently got my cats back from family and I bought this house for my kitties and they both lime to hang out in there. And also as the above comment mentioned, lots of playing and special food/treats!
I'm coming back here to drop this link because I just got one and oh my goodness, it's saving my life. It works about as well as a regular sticky roller but it's infinitely reusable so you're not always tossing those sheets, and it's way quicker for the same reason. I feel like every long-haired cat owner needs one.
I’d say get a fountain but ours still does it there too. (Though out of 4 official options, the fountain is her favorite place to drink.)
This is the Comb the breeder recommended. It is all you need: Master Grooming Tools Steel Pet. She specifically recommended this brand exactly. You’ll be able to see all the high reviews. Can’t recommend this comb enough. I’ve recommended it to countless people now as well. I have 2. I bought 8 years ago. They look brand new to this day. They are built like tanks, and you seriously could probably run it over with a car, and it would be just fine. My giant ball of fur and teeth LOVES* it so much. It has 2 different sides. I brush my big boy daily in part because he loves it so much and so it keeps fur off the furniture. 10/10 recommend for all ragdolls and ragamuffins.
The rake type brushes are a miracle for me. Cat groomer told me about them. Don't look like much but do the trick.
What is her name? She's stunning!!! Would love to know her little funny traits so far.
I'm sorry you're having an unpleasant experience though. I hope it's not completely soiling your first days with your new kitty.
Hopefully she is healthy... certainly looks it and happy!
I'm very happy to read the constructive and kind explanations of lineage and how papers are given. That's not always the case on these forums.
I've had ragdolls for over 30 years. Yours certainly looks to be part ragdoll. As such you'll almost never pee alone again, laundry, etc.!!! And she's clearly made herself at home.
If you've never had a long haired kitty before make sure you have a rake brush like the link below. They're an actual miracle for removing loose hair. Way better than something like the furrminator. When she's older and her normal coat comes in a decent vacuum will be your friend as well. One of those rechargeable jobs you can whip around house.
Looking forward to more information on her!
Get Dr Elise's attractant litter additive or attractant litter. 10 years ago my 2 litter trained siblings had the same problem. After about 24 hours and the fact they had both peed their pants at the same time, while running around the living room, I called the breeder and she told me about it. Immediately fixed the problem

https://www.chewy.com/dr-elseys-kitten-attract-clumping/dp/327814
The vacuum thing... the struggle is real.
They are laid back, but all have their own personalities. You'll never pee alone again as they do tend to follow you around from room too room.
You want to make sure and have a brush like this because of the undercoat that they develop. The one below will remove loose hair. Doesn't look like much but ita a miracle. Don't use a furrminator because it just cuts the hair. Make sure to get him used to the brushing early.
As for toys, one of my cats loves to steal what is essentially garbage, tape roller sections full of hair to play with. In that way they're a regular ole cat, loves boxes too.
Have a great time!!! And post pics!😘
I use a purple silicon brush I got from Petco, looks exactly like this https://www.amazon.com/HDP-Cat-Zoom-Groom-Color/dp/B0169M0NIQ/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=purple%2Bcat%2Bbrush%2Bsilicone&qid=1658773200&sr=8-6&th=1 . It is very addictive to my 2 ragdolls, i can literally get them to come to me by waving the brush at them. They love it and it works very well.
This is great for getting out loose undercoat. It removes it, whereas the furrminator cuts. It's a miracle. Get him used to it early on. Good luck!!!
This is a miracle. Cat groomer told me about it. Doesn't cut, removes loose hair!!!
Someone recommended to do the alleged test at home - https://www.amazon.com/UCARI-Sensitivity-Environmental-Non-Invasive-Bioresonance/dp/B08RDBRW86/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=R5Q0ZY4P316R&keywords=cat+allergy+test&qid=1657075817&sprefix=cat+allergy+test%2Caps%2C181&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1
We use a Burt’s Bees double sided cat brush to groom our two ragdolls daily. It works really well for us. The metal pin side helps with getting the knots out; and the bristles side helps with gathering the loose hair.
We also use a Furminator deshedding brush once a week to help control shedding and we think it really helped with reducing cat hair floating around our flat.
We bought this after seeing our groomer use it on our cat. It works great for mats. Four Paws Magic Coat Instant Mat and Tangle Removing Comb. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000HCJX2C?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_80E2AFF1Q88S1JZRTE70
I have this one: https://www.chewy.com/frisco-65-in-xxl-heavy-duty-cat-tree/dp/240961
It fits my two 12lb raggies on top at the same time, and they fit individually in the hammock. They love it!
I have this which works well for us. It's super comfortable and well made. However it is difficult to carry around since it's so big.
Milo's ultimate favourite toy is plastic spring, house is full of them and he plays with them day and night.
Mine too, but had one of those human round brushes, the boar bristle ones that are supposed to be for static, that I hated. Tried it on him and he loves it. Is all about the feels!
I’m having success with these combs.
They break up the mats and easily glide through her fur. I still have to sometimes pluck out the little broken up mat pieces with my fingers or the flea comb. She really doesn’t seem to mind this one even though she hated some of the other ones I was using.
Thanks for the tips!
Yeah I already use three 60x40x20 cm (23.5x15.5x8 in) stainless steel boxes. Those were the biggest I could find. And I use 13 kg (28.5 lbs) of litter in each one and top up as needed. I tried to convert all the numbers to american units too. This is the litterbox which I have 3 of:
I personally use the rabbitgoo one for my two Ragdolls. Can’t vouch for it but it hasn’t failed me yet.
From personal experience, I would avoid all velcro harnesses. I’ve bought a lot of different harnesses to test which one was the best. The worst were all velcro and bulky ones as my cat was able to slip out every time. The best one I found was this one:
I take my cat outside everyday and she has never been able to slip out of this one even when she’s acting a bit crazy. I strongly vouch for this one and I’ve been using it for 4 months. Just put it on correctly and you should be good. Hope this helps!

Depends how close the bars are. We just got a baby gate as couldn't find a temporary pet specific gate and our cat just walked through it.
If cat isn't a jumper a gate would work but it is going to be a hassle for you to remember to shut it all the time. And the needy little beans will try and follow you up as much as possible.
You may want to consider scratch alternatives, we find our cat scratches the vertical parts of stairs and the joins between carpets at the doorway, don't know what it's called but the metal strip there. So we buy double sided cat scratch tape for the stairs and plastic mats for the doorways. I think if you look on amazon under cat scratch door protector you should find something. Everything u/r1100rs says with a BIG emphasis on patience.
Give the kitten it's own space and let it own that first for a few days before moving on to letting the two stay seperated but seeing one another. I found this useful

Then supervised contact for several days. People seem to want to rush introductions but taking your time to ensure both cats see it as a positive experience is the way I'd go.
I got this one and I've been very happy with it:

My 12-pounder is a bit big for the hammock, but he still uses it. Otherwise even his large kitty buttocks fit well. The price has some up considerably since I bought it, too...one of the reasons I bought it was it seemed pretty reasonable (about $70 when I bought it three years ago). I'd still buy it again, though.
I personally use this one for my two cats (link on the bottom) and it works well for me. My cats weigh 8kg in total together currently and I like the carrier cause it feels quite comfortable to carry as a backpack and I have my hands free. As you can see on the pictures it can also be used as a trolley like configuration with wheels. That can be used or taken of its a 2 part contraption but very easy to change up. The wheel part can be folded so you could take it with you on your travels. I personally had no issues with it yet and felt that it worked great. Excuse the german amazon link.

Half neutered?
I've got a 9 year old 24 ib adult male but our most recent addition of a kitten is giving him a tough time at the moment but then old Fizz was always a bit subservient (give him food and a tummy rub and he's happy),
Mochi seems to be asserting dominance over Levi for territory but then a week is a bit optimistic to introduce even ragdolls to each other. (At 1 week I was still at the supervised contact stage). It can take up to 4 weeks to introduce a new cat (because all cats are individuals) and I can't help but think you might have pushed the introduction. This may resolve itself or you may need to separate and re-introduce (the important bit is for all interactions to be positive for both cats). I found the below useful when I introduced mine.
This brush has been a godsend for my ragdoll who got the fur gene bad. https://www.amazon.com.au/Dematting-Undercoat-Grooming-Deshedding-Removing,Pink/dp/B07V792W6K/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=2M5K4CT5RJ3VR&keywords=cat+brush+undercoat&qid=1645966537&sprefix=cat+brush+underc%2Caps%2C277&sr=8-5

My ragdoll gets mats under his ears a lot. Use a metal tooth comb and gently work them out. I'll link the one i have, i prefer wider side. I don't use any product and I work in short bursts because while my cat doesn't mind, he's very active and has places to be!

This is the one I’m currently using. From my experience charcoal scent tend to be more subtle & similar to clay which make it easier for the kitten to transition to. I’ve also tried FurryTail which now available on Chewy.com in their original scent and I can get 20% cashback through Rakuten, making it more cost effective. FurryTail has a more noticeable tofu scent that my kitten was a bit hesitant to use at first, but after a week of me mixing with the charcoal one he now got used to it. Hope this help & good luck on your little guy, he’s so adorable!
Hi there,
I’ve left my cat alone for a day or two before.
I have cameras set up in the apartment already, which helped give me peace of mind.
I recommend maybe an automatic cat feeder ?
I bought one off of Amazon a year ago and it’s amazing. I set the feed times and portions and she’s good to go. I actually taught her her name with the voice note option.
I still leave wet food for her (she’s a fatty and will eat that first before the dry food), and a ton of water.
Best of luck !

Low Noise Cordless Rechargeable Clipper
This is what I use for my very floofy raggy boy who likes to have turd trails on his butt floof. I usually just try to get him calm and like go slow and trim a bit at a time. These work amazingly and he’s not as scared after the 5th time.
This is the exact one I have. My baby seems to enjoy being in it, at least it seems comfortable enough that he fell asleep in it several times 😂 you can also expand it for more moving space, I’d think it’s great of picnic or just hanging out in the park

Whatever you do, stop cutting them out if you're using scissors! My wife gave our ragdoll a bad cut by doing this, with the cut going right down to the muscle layer. We didn't notice right away either and then it turned into a bloody mat. 2 vet visits and stitches later we learned our lesson.. could have been worse!
our cat seems to tolerate this one well- Rosewood Soft Protection Salon... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001GJ4PLE?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share But he hates being brushed. We have the zoom brush, various de matters, furminator. This style he tolerates the best. If you have problems clipping his nails, get a grooming bag. It has zippers all around. You can bag your cat and pop out each paw for a trimming.
I just got a ragdoll kitten and am using this collar on him. He tried to take it off for a few mins but is fine with it now.
Try Benebac (probiotics). They saved my Ragdoll’s life when he was a kitten with diarrhea. Nothing else worked.
It’s also available as a powder. I find the little tubes are the easiest to get into the cat though.
I got it from Chewy but it's also on Amazon! It's the Frisco Natural Wood cat tree. :) So far my girl loves it, the material is super soft and cozy. Definitely worth it!
https://www.chewy.com/frisco-natural-wood-modern-cat-tree/dp/263055
I just checked Life’s Abundance out and honestly it looks like it’s part of a MLM. (And I only see two flavors. None of my cats would ever eat duck.)
My rag doll is super picky, won’t eat the same flavor twice in a row…unless it’s salmon. Lol! He also won’t eat some flavors at all. And he recently went on strike against Friskies, until I got him like 37 flavors of Fancy Feast, to give him some variety. Have you tried friskies salmon? Also, you can try smearing a little on his mouth, and he’ll lick it off, and he might decide it’s not so bad after all.
Another thing - he seems to need probiotics regularly, otherwise he gets sick. I don’t know if this is a ragdoll thing, or just my cat, but anyway there are dry foods with probiotics added, but I’ve had better luck just giving them to him directly. The Benebac brand seems to work really well. This. I never had any luck sprinkling it on his food, I mix it with some of the that pudding-like cat treat that he loves, or with a soft boiled egg yolk. After a couple of weeks from it, his fur looks gorgeous.
(Yes, in case it’s not clear, he is spoiled as hell and has me wrapped around his paw! 😂)
Petmate Two Door Top Load https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006060VCU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_E5WK6PAXT7K4NWBGXADV
This one seems to work really well for me. I’d go as far of even covering the holes on the top & both sides with a towel to make it feel more confined for the kitten, he’ll feel safer that way. It doesn’t have to be the exact one but just that design if you can find it cheaper elsewhere. Then just keep the cloth with his mother’s scent in the carrier & some soft plushy chewy toys he’ll be good! Also like others suggested laying a pee pad for pick up day just in case. Then at home you can just take out the pee pad & leave the gate of the carrier open so he can sneak inside whenever he feels anxious.
I use a product similar to furminator. It does the trick + keeps my boy from vomiting(he’s got a REAL sensitive stomach).
Thanks, they're both from Catit! The one with the cat ears is called the Catit Vesper Minou Bench Scratcher, and the one that's part of the tree is called Vesper Cat Furniture, Walnut, V-Base.
Omg I love her! Such cute face markings. I have 2 ragdolls and an older Siamese. Compared to my siamese, my ragdolls LOVE water. One of them is obsessed with the cat water fountain, and the other isn't, so its not a sure thing. But they both love to play with the sink, so introduce water at a young age for lots of fun. They both love to kiss me/lick my head obsessively, so I'll leave it up to you if you want to encourage or discourage that. One of mine likes to be held upside down and the other one despises being held at all, so I think that is up to the individual cat and less training. Best of luck!

For toys: I recommend the springs and looney loops off of amazon. I have a swimming fish that they love too. They also love cat tunnels, cat scratch posts and outdoor cat enclosures (but I think all cats do!)
Since our ragdoll is quite large, we got a carrier that has fold out lounge sides like this. Once we were waiting at the gate, we expanded it and our ragdoll just chilled there. We folded him back up to get on the plane, sat in a window seat, folded it out under our legs after takeoff and put down our tray table. With the extra space our guy was pretty happy.
I just looked up cat DNA test and came across this one!

Could be interesting! I’ve always wanted to do one for my cat too.
We really like the feaandrea cats trees on amazon! We got this one for our boy. We’re already thinking about getting this bigger one next and putting the smaller one in the living room since he loves being on the perch so much. I find it very sturdy and there is also a strap that you can screw into the wall.
I got it on amazon! If you search "cat backpack" there are quite a few. Here is the one I got (I think it's great!): https://www.amazon.com/PetAmi-Backpack-Ventilated-Two-Sided-Features/dp/B07B61HPSX/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=petami+backpack&qid=1562029698&s=gateway&sr=8-3
If this helps - The smaller kittens here on the right and behind are 10 weeks old, the larger one in front is 5 months
The kitten I went to see was even smaller than those 10 week old ones, they were the big, boisterous ones.
It’s hard to tell from the video without anything next to them for size context, but from all the kittens I’ve been looking at the features here look more mature than 10 weeks imo.
I have this top entry litter box and I could not say enough good things about it.
I also live in an apartment with minimal space, so this is able to be incorporated into the decor without screaming “LITTER BOX.” Also, it’s plenty big enough for my boy and he seems to appreciate the privacy.
A vest style harness would be best for him if he’s able to get out of the collar or a regular harness. Did something change outside around that time? A new cat in the neighborhood? Even neutered cats will still want to be protective of their territory. New birds? New kids? Are you able to put a shelf underneath a window so he can look outside? Maybe he’s just wanting to see what’s out there. You can get portable shelves like this that they can sit on, they don’t require any hardware and you can move them to any window. I have several and my 20lb boy loves them. You could also call your vet and ask for advice.
I don’t know if this would help in your situation, or if this is the kind you have, but what about this kind with the sloped sides? Our Weimaraners never were able to tip them over. I’d be surprised if a kitty could.
We found it on Amazon. It's actually a big hit. Bandit loves the hammock, and the top bed does seem to fit them all at the moment, but usually only two at a time lay on the top bed. The little house isn't used much though, they like the top and hammock the best. They enjoy scratching the posts a lot too.

I purchased these late last year so its been about 7 months. Stevia is 2 years old and the vet said she weighed 14lbs last week. The perch gives her enough room to stretch her legs but she has to sit up to circle around (i ordered the large size on amazon, spent about 40$). They advertised it can hold up to 20lbs. I would say it is pretty decent for what I paid. She likes to rub her cheeks against the bindings which would put some tension but so far no accidents. My male is 16lbs but he's not too fond of the perch (prefers my stomach) 😅

It's a pretty impressive design, made of soft materials, and it completely collapses into a flat package that can be easily stored
have you heard of portable ACs? You can install them easily from the inside of the flat and they work pretty well, especially for smaller surfaces (smaller than 100m2) .
I got one for the pretty old apartment I live in because installing a classic AC wasnt possible and it really saved me! The installation is also easy because you can glue an airproof sheet over the window (which comes with the AC) and just place the tube through it (best representation I could find). Got it from mediamarkt for about 500EUR but im sure you can also find it for cheaper tho! 10/10 would def recommend hahah
I got stuff to set up a cat agility course for my kitten. He loves the tunnel and the hurdles, but isn't so keen on the weaving. He screams at me multiple times a day for me to let him into the room where it's at and take him through the course. I bought orange cones for the weaving, a cheap tunnel, and these hurdles: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MSPYVG
I have a feather toy I keep in that room to lead him through the course. It's the only feather toy I have in the house and he only gets to play with it when he's successfully done what I'm trying to get him to do. So it adds a mental challenge as well, and by not letting him use the toy unless he does things right it keeps the toy more special.
If I forget to take him through the course on my schedule, he screams at me until I do. He loves the hurdles most. We just started this around two weeks ago but he's already learned pretty well (again, not the weaving, lol). I just have the hurdles at about six inches but will eventually raise some of them up. I have a dedicated room for this but I think keeping the stuff in a closet and pulling it out twice a day would be fine.
For toys they can play with by themselves, both of my cats like sparkle balls and the captive ball on track toy. I can hear my older cat playing with the latter right now. He's lazy so he likes that he can just lay down and play. He recently had a leg injury so I haven't tried the agility course with him yet but will when the vet says it's ok.

The furminator breaks/cuts the hairs and makes their coat look raggedy and weird so I don't suggest it.
I use a steel comb like this: https://smile.amazon.com/LeosWare-Pet-Grooming-Tools-Stainless/dp/B07BFX6S65/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1530163252&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=steel+comb&psc=1
And then also a flea comb for the final brush.
As for shampoo, I just use whatever cat shampoo I happen to pick up at the pet store.
For scratchers, I was going to be buying the pillar ones with a ball as they're fairly cheap and don't take up much space. Hopefully the kitten uses it, otherwise I'll buy one similar to yours.
I think stick toys are loved universally by cats so I'll be buying one for sure. I've seen one with feathers on them which I'll try out.
You're the second person to recommend flea combs so I'll be buying those too, first I'll use these https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001GG7EFG/ until the ragdoll gets older and sheds more I think.
Great idea to pet while grooming so that they love it, I'm going to do that too!
Yup that pet hair remover looks great and I will be getting one just like yours
I know it depends on your situation. The usual rule would say two litter boxes per cat, but we have an apartment and I'm good at daily tasks. We scoop daily and it's totally fine (as you know, ragdolls are some smelly cats). We also use one of those little hidden litter box things . I'm certain it doesn't help them but it does help us.
I feed my ragdoll life abundance dry food. You can only buy it online but it has autoship options. She also eats wet food once a week. We like to switch the wet food up, right now she eating Tiki cat sea bass.
Her favorite toys are the feather wands. http://www.amazon.com/GoCat-Cat-Feather-Assorted-Colors/dp/B000F9JJJE/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1438435954&sr=8-10&keywords=Feather+wand. We go through a feather in about 10 days so buy refills.lol she also likes laser pointers.
Also for litter we like dr.Elseys Precious kitty litter. It works great.
