Rats, it sounded too good to be true. I found some info over at the Retropie forum that sheds a little light on what works and what doesn't: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/148174
You can order a cheap dongle from Aliexpress
I use SDFormatter to format my cards, then I use Win32DiskImager to transfer the image after its formatted.
My guess is you wrote a 32gb image to a 64gb card and you now have 32gb of unpartitioned space. If I am correct, you could partition that unused space using a utility called gparted. It is a utility that installs on a USB drive and then you boot into that drive. It should be able to resize your recalbox partition. Be careful though - GParted can also screw things up if you dont use it correctly.
Retrousb adapter $15. Original N64 controllers (one eBay black, one local game store grey) $40. Replacement joysticks$20.
PRICELESS
😂had too. So it does look like the replacement joysticks that I ordered off of Amazon are out of stock there are two other options I saw for replacements.

p.s. I've seen this post on how to do something similar but am unable to connect the dots as to how this relates to Recal
No problem, If all you want to run on that CRT is older 8 and 16 bit games, NES,SNES,TG-16,Sega gen/cd/32x... just use a rasp-pi3.. you can run composite output 240p, and get a really nice image,, or buy a retotink top hat for like 80 bucks, that will out put to Component, I own one too.. or use a HDMI to Component adapter.. but they are hit and miss.. this is me on retopie,,"MrCoffee" and my post there is some video of it working ...

Appreciate that, thanks.
I got this card ..
And it didn't work for me after multiple tries, but, to be fair, I didn't know about the USB controller thing. I do use a wireless controller on my Pi though, so the adapter would have been plugged in and nothing else.
I might try it again with that in mind, although I've sort of built my own recalbox image since then by using my own collection of roms and just adding more from other images from Arcade Punks.
SAMSUNG EVO Select Micro SD Memory Card with Adapter, 512GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 100MB/s Full HD & 4K UHD for Photos, Videos, Music Storage, MB-ME512HA https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0887CHVFF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_EDV4E2W38W0NETYNH99B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I did get the image however from a friend. He says he pays for the extra service or whatever it is from arcade punks.
One thing I read was that during initial boot up to keep all the usb controllers unplugged. I’m not sure if I read that right but I did that just in case as well.
Maybe you can rework this script, which I found, to quit emulator (you need to first detect, which is running), instead of shutting down screen:

pick up some https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-BK-3MCCA4BA-eneloop-Pre-Charged-Rechargeable/dp/B00JHKSN76
they are what i used for my devices. lasted pretty long till they stopped taking charge after i let them sit for a year without doing anything with them. was some of the best rechargeable i used
i don't understand what you wrote? (english is not your native language? could that be?)
Also what you wrote makes no sense, because on your first post you wrote that batocera in general did work for you (but you only had the issue, that you could not hide .bin files for psx and that gamecube and psp did run terribly).
which version of batocera did work for you and which version did not work at all?

please try the current beta of 5.25:
https://batocera.org/upgrades/x86_64/beta/last/

by the way: sorry for my bad english, It's not my native language (i'm german)
Grab recalbox...extract the xz file with WinRAR so you are left with an img file. Now grab and install Win32DiskImager: https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ Now use that to write the IMG file to the SD card. Then try to boot. If that fails then you definitely have hardware failure somewhere.
SSD might be drawing too much power. I know for the RPi 3 I had to get an expansion board to run a laptop SSD.
What about this -> 4 Controller pack EvoRetro
it could be work on rasberry pi 4 ? because i dont see power cable with this.
This will play dolphin emulator fine with integrated graphics at native res. Maybe can bump it up to 1.5.
And use this for displayport to hdmi with audio https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Adapter-Benfei-Converter-Gold-Plated/dp/B06VV26BLB
I have been looking at these too. There are a lot of the USB ones and lots of reviews where they say the dead zone on the stick is hard to configure or is bad. The joystick is the main reason why I want one because playing n64 with a ps or xbox controller just doesnt feel the same. I want wired because I despise batteries. I have been looking at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07473C5N6
The card I got was a Samsung 32GB 80MB/s EVO Select Micro SDHC Memory Card (MB-ME32DA/AM). It lists it as a "UHS-I Speed Class 1 (U1) & Class 10". Don't know much about SD cards, is this card good enough?
