I'm afraid not. The test is in Italian (except in border areas in the north where you can take it in French or German), so even if you could find an English-speaking tutor, you'd still have to take the written and practical test in Italian so it would be pointless anyway.
There's an app you can download that grills you on hundreds of test questions. I have spoken to someone who speaks almost no Italian who just learned the answers by rote and passed it.
> Dove conviene parcheggiare?
Devo in effetti tornare in quelle zone a controllare.
>great idea with the pier, I also saw that one on some sites!
I think that's the highlight of Lido di Ostia, if you happen to be in the neighborhood you can't miss it :)
>Thanks for the hint with the app! I noticed with Trenitalia, its very complicated and not a good solution
Yup, Citymapper is way better since it shows you all public transport modes with accurate-ish arrival times. Though, I just checked some itineraries and there's something wrong with some metro lines, I believe they will fix it soon.
>Did I understood right, that you recommend the beaches at the coast between Torvaianica and Lido Ostia
As /u/Frankie688 suggested you, the most accessible beaches are the ones in Lido di Ostia, since you can hop off the train (the Roma-Lido line) and be there in a 5 minute walk.
IMO though, if you are looking for nicer, larger, less crowded, somewhat cleaner beaches, it could be worth to get the train until the terminus Cristoforo Colombo, and once there get the 07, 061 or 068 bus line headed to Torvaianica. In about 10-15 minutes you should arrive by the cancelli I was telling you about in my previous comment: many people I know say the 3rd or 5th one are the best. I'm not sure you'll be able to rent a beach umbrella there so you better go there in the late afternoon and bring tons of sunscreen and bottled water with you.
I understand that can be a bit of a ~~finger~~ pain in the ass; if you choose to go at a beach in Ostia instead, at least check beforehand some reviews on Tripadvisor or Google since many facilities are tourist traps that will charge you lots of money while only letting you have a tiny space!
About the seaside, if you'd like to pack a beach towel and go take a bath, the best beaches feasibly reachable from Rome are, IMHO, the public/free ones between Ostia and Torvaianica, commonly known as i cancelli (the gates). There are some free beaches in Ostia, surely easier to reach, but I find them too crowded and the water quality is worse. If you'd like to know more just ask, I'll write a follow-up.
Assuming you'll get around using public transit, I warmly recommend you to install the citymapper app on your phone.
