Usually after i spray and i am in the high 90° range. Then i fan for a few minutes until it goes down to mid-70° range then re-cover. I got the Govee Hygrometer Thermometer, Wireless Thermometer, Mini Bluetooth Humidity Sensor to help me monitor the RH.
I dont think so, there is a specific 'Whole Brown' Uncle Bens.

I really like this one:
NESCO Gardenmaster Pro Dehydrator, FD-1018A, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GN7O1PO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_56P44J9JVAD8M3YJ6167
Lot's of room, and they sell extra trays.
I don’t know, I’m on my first run ever but I’ve learned a lot, my guess is it’ll most likely do better when you flush it if it’s under hydrated you know ? I got a fine mister, really fine mister from Amazon I can link it’s been helping me I’ve been misting few times a day and it’s absorbing fast into the sub, no droplets after a few hour. Mfs we’re talking shit saying I was spraying to much but it was the opposite, definitely watch who you listen to on here because a lot of people giving bad info, if your tub doesn’t get better anytime soon I would just soak it like your about to flush it for the first time. But first with that many pins I recommend spraying it with the ultra fine mister it has to be super fine, I didn’t have a fine enough mister, I watched Philly GT on YouTube got the same mister he uses. https://www.amazon.com/Continuous-Bottle-Bagless-Misting-Sprayer/dp/B07T8SGDY8
I have an Excalibur dehydrator that I use for jerky and *other stuff*. I wouldn't go below 9 trays on it. There are other brands cheaper than it but you can remove every other tray or 2 and it makes it pretty easy. During harvest I just left it on and put on as I chopped over a couple of days. Vs chopping up a presto dehydrator. Link to one I have below. this way, you can take out maybe 2 trays to dry the big fellas and dry the little ones around it. when the big fellas are done, put the trays back in and dry more lil fellas.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004Z915M4/
Other brands are around $150 or less, so could get a couple if 1 isn't enough? Excalibur was more of the first brand that started this design I believe and "trusted by hunters".
I use these, the filters are hydrophobic so you can even use them for liquid culture jars. I got the plastic jar lids so they don't rust after a few runs. Use a 1/2 inch drill bit for both holes. Quart sized jars fit one at a time, on their side, in my 8qt instant. I spawn to straight coir to a shoebox until I get the genetics I want, then bigger runs of the isolated genes, but you could go straight to a bigger tub of all you want is some shrooms. Ratio of spawn:sub varies. For basic cubes I do 1:1, for exotics I go with more sub than spawn. I don't modify any of my tubs, flipping the lid works good enough.
Haha nah I forgot those fools made cornbread but this stuff right here is my go to
[jiffy mix seed starter
Grind to a powder. Steep tea or your choice in one of these loose tea diffusers
After steeping tea with lemon add the shroom powder while the water is still hot but not boiling hot. Steep ten or so minutes, then you place the diffuser on a cup and it drops the tea down into the cup without any pieces
Honestly if you have a fan in the room, just do what you're doing with that half the day, leave all holes open in the tub, and mist when needed (visible condensation fades). I've found just misting the sub once or twice while misting the walls can push enough stagnant air out to take care of any fanning, or just quickly lifting the lid to gain access can disturb it enough. You really don't want to kick all the air out, just mix it up a bit and introduce some fresh O2. CO2 is heavier than O2, as well as being emitted by the little babies, so it's always going to settle at the bottom after the air's mixed up.
Good way to spot the opposite is when you see those tall tall skinny guys, means too much CO2 and they try to escape quick to either breathe or bloom.
You must have misted them directly. That's some heavy bruising.
I'd suggest first getting a mister that's a FINE mister.
Like this one I just recently ordered.

Just spray the sides of the tub to maintain humidity. Once the mushrooms start pinning you don't want to spray them because they're more likely to abort. If the substrate is really dry just mist from up a distance away so that it gently falls on the cake.
Not the disposable plastic ones, but the proper dishes and pre made ones yes I did use parafilm, that Stuff is awesome.
This is what I got: Parafilm Nursery Grafting Tape... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GY0LPDQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I found the same brand but a better deal 2.5 more pounds of course for like the same price
Micropore (paper medical tape) can work if you can get it to stay on the lids after a pressure cook. Use 2 strips on top of eachother. It's not ideal.
You might want to consider not modifying the lids at all. I've used these containers successfully with no mods if you can find a plastic container like it. When you do is after you inoculate you don't screw them down super hard (just enough to keep the lid on securely). Occasionally I did have slow cultures stall so I would just take them into my still air box and very briefly open the lid, then put the lid back on a couple weeks in and the culture would resume growth. quick cultures would tend to finish before they stall out. just make sure you screw the lid on tight before you shake it! or you'll be sorry haha. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010OVMETY/
If you're talking about for a monotub, then if you're getting contam, it's not due to the filter, it's 99% due to your spawn. I mean I've done open air grows when its humid and they come out fine (if not a little dry and splitting on the cap). clean spawn is everything.
If you're talking about filtering jars, just buy some synthetic filter disks. if you can't afford one for every jar, cut them up and silicon them to a hole you punch with a heavy duty hole punch. (something like these). but they are nice to just punch the hole and put between the disc and ring of your mason jar if you can afford to use them this way. maybe someone sells a sheet instead of discs, IDK.

See that's so much shrooms, like way too much! It's cool that it's an easy method but it's like, what to do with all the extra shrooms now that you have like a decade worth of them? lol

Unless they came individually sealed, they were basically as dirty as the room they were stored in.
These are the sorts of swabs that folks uses for collecting spores for agar germination. Individually sealed or in a two-pack, sometimes with a plastic stick, commonly with wood (but wood can break or snap in the mail if you're trading spore swabs with folks).
They also have adhesive self sealing

Hmmm. I never had any problems with any feed-store millet I bought, so I never had any "brand" in mind. In fact the bags I bought regularly were plain brown paper bags with "50# millet" on them and nothing else.
Like I said in my other comment, I'm terribly sorry but I may have been wrong about the price.
As long as you don't buy millet that is intended for human consumption you should be good.
The same goes for rye and wheat and barley and oats... if you can buy them at a feed store that's what you should get. Grains grown for human consumption are bred and selected for thin hulls and plump grains with lots of starch and carbs. The natural state of the grain is to have a thick hull and small germ. The thick hull is better for PC and for colonization, as that is what the mycelium conquers first as it grows through the grains.
This is what I have used extensively and recommend... https://www.amazon.com/EasyGo-Product-White-Millet-Wild/dp/B07TN45B3H
I'm sure you can find it at a feed & seed unless you only have access to one store and they don't have it in stock. I'm sure you could have them order you some.
When I taught people how to grow back in the day I always taught millet because it eliminates some hard steps and reduces the chance of contams and slow colonization due to improper water content.
I didn't mean to mislead you. I'm only trying to help... but I'm old and my memory has probably made me look foolish.

Sorry for bothering you here again but am I going way wrong with this here. Something doesn't seem right with my own maths. So the L X W X Desired depth in cm is 60.2cm X 36.8cm x 10 = 22153 Cubic cm. I then divide it by 1000 to get the amount of litres needed for desired Spawn/Sub depth. Answer = 22.15 Litres needed in total. With A quart being a litre and I'm going to use a ratio of 1:2 of spawn to substrate. I divide 22.15 by 3 to get 7.38 Litres. I Then multiply by 2 to get 14.76 litres/quart's as the total amount of substrate needed for this size tub. Where I'm having big issues is when I go to convert 14.76 Litres into grams/kgs it's telling me it's 14.76Kg in total which seems far to much to be the true weight. My whole goal here is to work out how many of these bags of substrate I would need to buy https://artisanmushrooms.ie/product/coco-coir-vermiculite-gypsum-cvg-substrate/
For this size container
But from my maths it seems like I'd need to buy 7bags for one container which to me doesn't seem accurate.Seems abit excessive? I've been at this days and still confused as hell unfortunately. Any guidance as to where I'm going wrong is really appreciated

I use a uv box to keep my agar in after I pour, and i use a uv light with ozone to sanitize my space.
be careful the bulb you get doesn't produce ozone, and if it does make sure you can vent it out. even my non ozone bulb produces a little (smells like chlorine). Using the light near your boxes might cause more trouble than benefit, your boxes should be fine once they're closed and in a still air environment. just put them in a plastic bag or tote
ps, the uv light has come in handy around the house too, I might get a bigger one just to clean rooms in my house. I left one in my car for an hour and it completely eliminated all smells so yes I'd say it's worth it these are the ones I got only comes with 1 cord tho

This was published over 20 years ago after the Brady Bill was passed but the study still has good data points. The Democratic party has been trying to institute gun controls for years. We need to reduce illegal guns and hold people accountable for crimes they commit with guns. Crimes have been decreasing over the years in areas where shall-issue states have been giving CPLs to legal gun owners. Yet we still see gun violence issues in gun-free zones (churches, schools, concerts, night clubs.) Luckily SCOTUS has recently clarified the country’s position on the 2A by making it very clear to the NY Democrats that people have the right defend themselves.

So there isnt confusion I do not recommend my camera and will explain below
So this is the camera I bought for this purpose
Basically a super cheap GoPro rip-off. It came with a case and tons of different ways to mount it but do so it needed to be in said case. This case does not let you access the charge port. IT does have many different options for the time between photos (I use the max 60 secs) but it will not sleep/conserve battery life during this period. So you would either have to constantly swap batteries or remove, charge and replace, or do what I did which ios improvise and make my own ways to gig it and keep the charger in. The reason I stopped is it seems to stop working, I have yet to isolate the issue but it runs on battery but seems to stop when charging. haven't had time to pinpoint if the camera, a cord, or maybe USB wall connect is the issue.
Alll that aside it actually recorded in 4k and Windows Movie editor limited me to 1080p, too lazy to dig up my SOny Vegas Liscene after a recent reformat, but the raw recording is in 4k. Here is a YT that is still uploading but should show the 4k video once processed, it will be upsidedown as well
TLDR: The camera honestly is pretty cool given the price point but seems to have big limitations for this purpose so I will be looking for another solution for future grows.
Im sorry I spelled it wrong. Lol.
Make sure you put two needle size holes in them and cover with micropore or durapore tape or they will warp in the pressure cooker. Also, get them directly off the bottom of the pressure cooker. I like to use a throw out pan that gets them 5"s off the bottom, then I lay out all the cups & add a layer of tin foil over each layer till I cant fit anymore in the pressure cooker. Try to get them flat as possible so the agar sets flats. Keep them in the pressure cooker untill they cool fully (Usually over night) then transfer directly to your flow hood or s.a.b.
I found that these usually have condensation on the lids. You can either take your sterile hands (with gloves on) take the lid off, and flick the lid to knock the condensation off. Or store them upside down and eventually the condensation will dissappear. Its no big deal actually.
I’be tried those plates... lots of contamination. Try these guys instead

Both are prepoured meaning you won’t be able to color them. Making your own is cheaper and you’ll be able to color them. Colors don’t matter they’re just for making it look pretty.
Always go syringe to agar. You only need a drop or two onto agar
Then mycelium will grow on agar. If there’s any issues you still have the rest of the syringe to practice with. If you go syringe to grains you have a higher fail rate

Yes but you want it to be timed light, 12 on 12 off, they use light differently but they use it. It gives them a circadian rhythm and they actually do most of their growing at night in the dark period. Ive seen some people use a humidifier in their setup before. That may help with the moisture issue.
I've used this type before from Amazon
But instead of putting the humidifier in the bin I pipped in the humid air using a tube from the top of the humidifier and set it beside the bin.
If you do go down this route, you might want a Bluetooth or smart version that you can set on a timer.
fuck ya dude thank u this is a no brainer, seems like that brand isn’t in stock but i’m assuming most of the plastic models are the same. getting these (makes complete sense for those who use these jars outside of cultivation). thank you!
To my knowledge a good majority of the variants should suffice as viable food after proper soaking and pressure cooking. A lot of cultivators around me prefer rye grain. But I use this white prosso millet, and the myc eats it up. The only downside I have, is i find millet in every nook where my workspace is.
Also could be anecdotal but I find using a fingernail size of dish soap during rinsing before the soak, and then soaking for 4 hours works well.

If it's made specifically to grow mushies it's fine. Most commercially available blends will have nutritional levels much higher than what we need resulting in a higher likelihood of sluggish tomentose growth.
I also wouldn't purchase anything made by Stamets, but that's just me.
Plantonix - this is the best coir I’ve found on amazon.
I’ve tried quite a few of them, and I have achieved the best results with this as well as I like working with it the most.
CaviCide is pretty damn good.
But then again so is ISO.
Almost any bulb should work ok as long as it is near the 6500k range like you've read about already.
I've used various brands of both CFL and LED lights successfully.
