Here is what I'm thinking - pickup 2 of these to get a single surface 14x32 with ~2 inches on all sides for heat/smoke to circulate. Not going to get 3 giant pizzas on - but should be able to get 3 10-11" ones situated on the single surface. Also being full 1" thick, will take a bit longer to get to temp, but will hold it way better between pizzas.

I’m thinking of ordering these
KOSIN Barbecue Grill Light Magnetic Base Super-Bright LED BBQ Lights - 360 Degree Flexible Gooseneck, Weather Resistant, Batteries Included - Pack of 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PHQWR3V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SHBCVK7V43W8TH2ARADT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use this on my EX6:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N69C5NY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I cut it into sections to cover the top and sides, and hold it in place with strong magnets. Works well and reduces my pellet consumption. No risk of fiberglass fibers in the food either.
I have one of these that mount on the handle. Works good and I use rechargeable AAA batteries.
I bought one of these. It’s specifically designed for such things. I have a wood stove two, so it come in handy for both.

I tend to do a competition mix out of the bag, but also blend in Jack Daniels Charcoal Pellets for extra "charcoal" flavor.
I put these on top of the flavor bars, beneath the grates:

Yes. Absolutely. I mostly use it to clean the exterior and the bottom of the barrel where the grease channels collect. My grates and flavorizer bars I just wash in soapy water. Also picked up some Food Grade silicone spray for the pellet chute and auger

Thanks saw that thread, hoped somebody might come along and solve my problem, as not mentioned on there.
There shouldn't be any difference in EX4 to EX6 except width, so can't figure out why I'm getting such dangerous flames when it heats up after the temp drops due to the lid being open. My Smokefire has never maintained temp for a full cook with the lid open always drops at some point, before eventually climbing again, assumed it was to be expected, anyone know otherwise?.
Hoping the mod works people have mentioned and somebody who has done it can provide me with dimensions used and cutout needed for the chute, as mate will do it, but can't really cart my Smokefire 30 miles for him to work with.
And would this piece of pipe be the right diameter and do the job? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Winnerwell-Short-Pipe-3-5/dp/B07T33KZQG/ref=asc_df_B07T33KZQG/?
Do you think this will work for me, once reworked, got one coming for my EX4

you pay $27/20lb bag of Lumber Jack pellets from Amazon?
Is this the one?

Great, please post a review when you do a few cooks!
That site is killer. It's essentially "Cook's Illustrated for barbecue". Recommendation: add the founder's book to your birthday or Christmas wish list and forget about it for a few months. It's a great gift for someone to give you that isn't more rub or barbecue gloves. :)
I use this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CMLTXG/
Covers one of the two grates on an EX4 or one of the three on EX 6. Being Lodge it's excellent quality, pre-seasoned, very reasonably priced. Just a touch to short to span the support rails, so needs the grate for support.
Cover is definitely recommended, unless you're in a very dry area. A bit of rain gets into my cook chamber when it poors.
As far as the seal is concerned I'm using stick on lavalock on the body around the opening. Works quit well. Dunno how long it will last though, just put it on this year, but it does improve the seal around the door. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JO00S04/
Some folks on the sub upgrade the casters.
Not sure about the lid being hard to open. Seems like mine opens fairly easily.
I think a cast iron griddle is a nice add. The Weber accessory griddle is nice - it basically just replaces one of your two grates. But it's over $100 and never in stock.
I got the Lodge 16x9 reversible for $29 instead https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CMLTXG/ It's great for fish, veggies, etc.
If your door is not aligning and is stiff you open your grill may not be sitting perfectly flat. A missing step in the assembly instructions is that you need to have all four legs on a fairly flat surface, with all four casters screwed all the way in, when you begin your assembly, or you risk some alignment issues. Once the grill is fully assembled you can then move it to wherever you like and use the casters to re-level the grill. If you didn't start on a flat surface, of if you move the grill and don't check for level, the smoker barrel can get ever so slightly racked or twisted.
Good job! Everyone talks about Lumberjack but I haven't been able to find any near me (Suburban Philly). I switched to CookinPellets recently and really like them. You can find them on Amazon:

Love the SmokeFire, but this is a necessary upgrade. Simply unscrew the old and screw on the new. Life changing!
Love the Smokefire as my single grill. I sold a current model Genesis to get it too. There are some caveats:

Accessories: I think the previous posters are a little nuts. The grill has a major flaw in the sense that there is no room to rest a tray of food with the stock configuration. A half sheet pan doesn't fit on the right side so if you're cooking ribs, pork shoulder, brisket, or even 4+ burgers you really need a place to rest a tray while you load it up. The Weber-brand shelves get poor reviews so my wife got me an outdoor worktable and that has made all the difference. Very solid, reasonably priced, and it holds multiple 20 lbs bags of pellets on the shelves.
I'll try and get pictures next time. It's pizza. It disappeared fast!
It was a 15" round Brinkman ceramic stone I've had laying around for years, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Brinkmann-812-9229-S-812-9229-s-Pizza-Stone/dp/B00CB34AEQ
I''m using an a-maze-n like this. I lighted it from both sides.
https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/MAZE-N-Amazen-Fumeur-granul%C3%A9s-Pitmasters/dp/B00IGAR8GK
I placed it at the bottom with the big flavorizer on top. It is steady @ 22 Celsius (72F). It is 13C (51F) outide. And it is raining a little.
I would not cold smoke during the day in the sun. I think it'll go over 30C very quickly.
Its a HFA 2063, Half-Size Aluminum Foil Baking Sheet from my local Dollar store. Yes they work great! They measure around 12" x 17". I searched online, but they appear to be a bulk item in a pack of 50, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYYXQCM/ref=twister_B01M0XB7NK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
so maybe you can try a dollar store near you.
Alternatively I would use a regular baking sheet and wrap it in aluminum foil and simply unwrap the foil and throw it out after every cook.
Hope this helped.
I tried a few and settled on this one. grill light
A lot of the other ones have the ultra white color temperature that makes your food look sickly and pale or don’t camp or stick well. This one has a warm even light that isn’t harsh on the eyes and covers a lot of area.
I’ve also seen just plates that people are using like this one.
Yeah, they’ll definitely hold 20 pounds. When there’s weight on the shelves they rest against the frame of the smoker with some rubber grommets - this makes them move a little bit as you add and remove something from the shelves but it’s definitely sturdy. I put the upper rack on just to try it out and it works as advertised. I usually smoke the upper rack in but grill/sear with it off so it’ll be a nice feature.
Here are the casters I have. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082WPYQWL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dLVsFbF3Z2P5A
Mine are 5” with the slide break but it appears Amazon doesn’t have the slide break in stock in the 4” and 5”. I know a handful of people on this subreddit have the 4”. They increase the height of the smoker so it’s definitely a nice add on for very little money - highly recommend it if you’re interested.
Thanks! They are from amazon. They make rolling the smoke fire so much easier. I always thought the smokefire looked like a fat man with little feet. These make it look a little more proportioned.
