I did not want to make a new post but i've been looking to make my first big snowpeak purchase in the takibi tarp hexa set M. my plan was to wait for the rei 20percent off in november but on amazon the set is selling for $100 off msrp from "outland usa"

i'm kind of nervous knockoffs because it's not from the company's website or a big box store like rei. Should i pull the trigger?

First I would try setting the tent up in the sun for a few days. If that doesn’t work, I would use this or this in a pump-up sprayer, or even better, in a front-loading industrial washing machine at the laundromat, then set the tent up to air dry.

Not that I don;t appreciate marketing and innovation, but I have a generic 5lb tank I bough years ago. Something like this....

That seems very pricey for a basic propane tank that sits in a milk crate, but this is the snow peak group, so make an IGT adapter for it and I'm all in :-)

You’ll be fine with charcoal. It’ll work like a regular grill. You should consider getting the coal bed. It creates a level surface and helps with even heating.
