I got a pill organizer and it's bright and colorful and happy. And now that my supplements are organized, I'll for sure get pregnant. THANKYOUVERYMUCH.
Hi! I really enjoyed 'The Art of Waiting'. It's a "memoir" about the author's struggles with infertility and details her IVF journey. I think it's a little different because there's research mixed in with the story. I thought it was a solid read. I found it in my local library.
Shopping for more OPK's on Amazon and I come across this
Extra wide Wondfo's for the Baby Dust method
Whaaaaa?
Don't they make absorbant underwear now for light days/incontenance? I think a friends of mine uses them, but not sure if progesterone would cause them to fall apart/not absorb/etc. They are washable and reusable, too.
Amazon reviews of this (or similar) are decent: Hesta Women's Organic Cotton Period Menstrual Sanitary Protective Underwear Panties/ 3Pack (X-Large, 1Black2Natural) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VVK6YTM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_lEvxzbT3BM4F4
I found a bottle of 100 pills with 1000mcg of vegetarian l methylfolate on Amazon for like $11. No fancy bottle but it does the trick!
I don't remember if I saw this in this group or another but where I've saved big $ is with my HCG and fertility drug calculator app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.viralmd.fdccalc
I can't be 100% sure when I ovulated, but I think it was about two days ago. So now we wait, and continue having sex every-other-day-ish just in case. If I get my period on October 14/15, I'm going to start temping and using OPKs to get a better idea of what my cycle looks like.
The book is how can I get through to you . It has been interesting, though I haven’t gotten to the chapter on therapy yet. And thanks for the offer! I might reach out to you more about your experience and how you have structured it and guided your therapist to hep it be productive and meet your needs.
An irl friend who is doing IVF soon just got these ones which are super cute! But yeah this site should totally have cute bandaids for sale too.
The mental break is definitely important! Marathon runners don't just start with 26 mi - they build up to it. This is very intense stuff for the mind and it is a muscle like any other muscle and also has to learn to acclimate to things.
Also - I found this to be a good resource: https://www.amazon.com/Infertility-PTSD-Joanna-Flemons-LCSW/dp/1542615542
I am no help for meaning Folate (Folic Acid). It is so misleading and unclear.
I am using these. A bit expensive and three pills a day, but at least I know I am getting what I need.
Do you know for sure you have the MTFHR gene mutation? Because if you don't, folic acid is all what you need. And even if you do, you can get what you need from a healthy diet rich in leafy greens.
6000IU is a random dose. I’ve seen 5000 but I can’t say I’ve seen 6000 specifically unless you’re just supposed to take multiple of a smaller dose? I did find 10000IU on Amazon. My doctor wrote me a prescription for mine, it’s a 50000IU pill that I take once per week.
Same idea, I guess? I have no experience in ear cleaning or procedures, haha. Here’s the Amazon link. And thanks for reminding me...round 2 is on!
Shucks, sorry you weren't able to get the details, but staying at the same doses sounds like good news to me! Glad to hear the sleepiness isn't just me too. I was starting to think I was just being dramatic...
Cozy socks are definitely going on the list. I have lots of very practical trail socks, but I think I will look for something prettier. I have been coveting Nordic style socks like these, might be time to pull the trigger and order some.
Great ideas! I loaded up on comfy sweats a little while ago, but could definitely do with more. I had never heard of Nuun until now, but that sounds perfect! I bought some gatorade already, but I am not a fan of sugary drinks and the zero version really isn't great either. I have lots of great colouring books that don't get enough use anymore - I will pull out my favourite again (Jenny Lawson's You Are Here, highly recommend)!
Link This is the book. It's for endometriosis specifically, but it references Low FODMAP quite a bit, too, so that you can choose how far you want to go. The recipes have been delicious so far, so that's also a bonus.
My OBGYN also blew it off, saying the same thing. That I'm ovulating (which I know I am) and that luteal phase defects aren't really a thing. Despite that, she did order the CD 21 progesterone test and mine was 8. It should be at least 10 on a natural cycle. It proves I'm ovulating, but I am still deficient in progesterone.
My RE was much more concerned, said I probably have a luteal phase defect, and prescribed me the progesterone suppositories. My acupuncturist felt the same way (for what that's worth) and he did give me a thing of OTC progesterone cream that you can buy on Amazon. I will say it stopped my spotting, but my luteal phases were still at 10dpo. But, in the past, my spotting would start anywhere from 8-10 dpo and then my period would finally start 12-14 dpo. I'm hoping the prescribed progesterone will stop the spotting and extend my LP. We'll see! This will be my first cycle using them.
If you're interested, this is the OTC progesterone cream I used for a couple cycles.
EDIT: I now see that the progesterone cream is out of stock. Don't know how helpful that link will be. But there are others on Amazon if you want to try. I've also seen progesterone cream at Fresh Thyme or other natural/organic grocery stores, too.
I’m veg! Several years ago I lost a bunch of weight with low carb. We liked some of the recipes in this cookbook which are largely high protein.
I’m not too sure what test they’re running but hopefully it’s the TPO one you talked about. However if they’re not going to treat it, do you think I should push it? I already bought thyroid supplements (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M13NHFY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fCozBb23E5F24 <—these ones, on a random whim lol) and perhaps and can work on decreasing gluten.
In a moment of desperate sadness, I ordered my husband some Fertilaid. He hasn't started taking it yet because I want to run it past our RE, but everything I've read about it online is pretty favorable and the mix is slightly different/more potent than the multivitamin he takes, so might as well try it.
I had to read the summary of that article like three times before I could even process what they were saying...
But that insanity aside... We're willing to try just about anything right now, so my husband has been using these to ice for about an hour a day. Can't say if it'll do any good, but it's cheaper than the "Snowballs underwear," and he says it's actually pretty refreshing
I get easy@home bulk pregnancy tests off amazon.ca! They are pretty cheap and it's prime eligible.
I got this cookbook! The chicken dish I made last night was in it. It also has a great table of cook times for various things. I like it so far!
Good luck with your tests!
You can absolutely go on a cleaning frenzy.. if you're game to go big, I highly recommend reading Marie Kondo's Life changing magic of tidying up (https://www.amazon.com/Life-Changing-Magic-Tidying-Decluttering-Organizing/dp/1607747308). We read it and did the whole thing (it was helpful to have DH read it too) and OMG IT WAS AMAZING. We seriously got rid of 20 garbage bags worth of stuff, and the house really has stayed much cleaner since.
oh, one last thing - if you haven't discovered wondfos yet, check them out! I use these ones: https://www.amazon.com/100-Ovulation-Tests-Pregnancy-tests/dp/B001E1Y1X6/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1472317720&sr=1-1&keywords=wondfo
i'd go broke if I used regular OPKs, but these let me take them to my hearts content, all lonngggg cycle long.
I also just ovulated for sure on my first Clomid cycle. I feel you on being so proud. I've not taken estrace, but my acupuncture has me taking 2 20mg doses of Floravital a day and it has done wonders for my period. For me, part of my problem was poor blood production so my period was insanely heavy. It is now a lot more manageable.
