I felt that because I’m a 16 year old teenager, I decided to go crazy and mod it out, the quickest and easiest upgrade was installing this. It made accelerating way more fun
I used 31mm festoon bulbs. I think 30mm would have been better. They are incredibly bright and I have to point the map lights towards the ceiling so it reflects back down, lol.
This was the one I got (not sure it is still available but if you buy a similar one it should be OK) https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07NL548Q2

Bought a roll of taillight tint on Amazon (link is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017MWRQY6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_x3dZFbDF2GKH8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). I was initially going to do the whole taillight, decided not to after putting in on the red. Cut the tint up to rough shape, stuck it on, used a hairdryer on high and a debit card to smooth it out. Went in with an exacto knife to cut away excess and clean it up. After that, used the hair dryer to tuck edges around the corners and get any other bubbles out, and Bam you are done. I have 0 experience doing stuff like this and am generally unartistic aha so it was pretty easy and straightforward.
Just installed these on mine. Super easy plug and play-no custom harnesses or anything. Just find your headlight bulb size and search on Amazon. For example, for mine "h11 LED bulb"

Haven't driven with just the crossbars. I only put them on when I use my bike rack. That definitely makes more wind noise, but is much bulkier.

Easy to install 2pc per seat. I do use ArmorAll on it and it keeps it nice.
Because it matches the car, many people think it came with the car. Been happy with them. Yes, the heated seats still work, in case anyone asks.
Very small mod I did on my 15 (crosstrek) is a smaller antenna. I think it helps the car stay sleek and looks good with the same height as the roof rails.
Here is the one I got. Screws right on.

Autel universal sensors. We find em to before reliable than OEM sensors and there easy to program. I have them in my 19 Impreza with no issues
Oh that’s an old photo, that’s when I had the matte ones on there, but it would never stay so I went with this one
You will need one of the following:
1) An amplifier with line level inputs. Some amplifiers will have speaker level/line level inputs. You would have to tap into the speaker wires behind the head unit, extend them, and run them to the amplifier. Most people doing this will run them off the rear speaker wires so that you have some adjustment ability where fading towards the rear will increase the output the the amplifier.
2) Get a line level to RCA converter like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/VIBE-Critical-Link-Level-Converter/dp/B0863B21K5/ref=asc_df_B0863B21K5/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=535061376645&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9444725876671606511&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&a...
You then get male to male RCA leads which will run from the converter to the amplifier RCA inputs.
Again, most people doing this will run them from the rear speaker wires so that you have some level of adjustability.
The amplifier will need an input to know when to turn on and off. This should come from the antenna wire at the back of the head unit. This means whenever the head unit is powered on, the amplifier will turn on. Some head units will only power this wire when the radio is operating though so you may consider wiring this to the accessory power wire instead (wire that is only powered when the key is turned on).
Hope that helps.
Don't rev the nuts out of it, change the oil & filter regularly (3,750 miles is Subaru recommendation). Check the oil level every 2-3 weeks and enjoy! If you don't unnecessarily abuse these cars they are great.

Never had a problem with these being bad on the inside.
Depending on how bad, (they were bad.) I start with 400 grit sandpaper and hand wet sand. You can used a drill but you have to buy expensive kits for that usually and I enjoy the labor of sanding. I then use 1500 grit and 2000 grit wet sand paper. I thin use a polishing compound and a rotary buffer with a wool pad to make them clear from the sanding. After that I used [Meguiar’s headlight coating](www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4RVVX6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1R6Z56FQ1KZE3MWYZMF9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). You don’t have to do the coating there are also other options but I’m not familiar with them. The UV is what makes the plastic turn so protection is needed for longevity.
I have a 2013 hatchback, for a bike rack I hate roof mounts in terms of just getting the bike up there, so I got a trailer hitch and got myself a regular bike rack.
As for maintenance, living where there’s a ton of potholes, I had to replace wheel bearings at 160k(Km). Else than that 1 camshaft sensor stopped working that I replaced myself( 1 week ago - 165k) Just make sure to check oil levels every 2 weeks or so depending on how many km/miles you’re putting on. Else than that, everything works as it should. No issues just basic maintenance. That’s a close to 10 year old car now. I plan on keeping it for many more.

Had the same question but in reverse early in my WRX ownership:
“What’s missing from these three clips, and what will it affect?”
Get something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L6FJGR4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_dl_AZ0MY0JFGMPPJWGC9EV8 and never need clips again.
When you get under the car, look at the liner behind both front tires to identify where this came off.
Use clips from that kit to replace it (and anything else ever). You can get a clip set from Subaru America, but you’ll pay 3x for them.

I would just tap it. If I remember correctly it's a 20A circuit that's also sharing the heated seats. Maybe if you have both seats on high and using a 12V kettle it would be a problem?
If you want to be 100% sure you can tap the fuse box in the dash for switchable power. There are empty spots. OR Use space fuse #28 - 20A, "TRAIL R.FOG" is for trailer lights. If you don't have a trailer just use that . Use an add-a-circuit and run a short wire in the dash. Example here.

I have a 2013 hatch and these have been great so far! You can put in your year make and model into Amazon to make sure they fit. Not always accurate but it at least helps a little. The lights are amazing though, I can actually see at night now and I feel like I'm not going to blind anyone with my headlights.
Obusforme makes a gel pad. I've used mine for a good number of years either in the car or the office.
I've seen cheaper versions of this that aren't as good because they cheap out on the gel rubber.

The single lights are wired into the light bar. all three lights are wired into the harness that goes into the engine compartment that attaches directly to the battery terminals. super easy. The difficult part is getting the wire down to the battery. I ran pipe along my front side rib as you can see in the pic. a cleaner way to do it is to punch a hole in the roof and put in a Gromit.
The final step will be to run the light switch from inside the engine through the Gromit in the firewall and into the cabin. it's easier than it sounds. the grom will pop out about 6 inches above where the foot pedals reside. I bought one of those 100 dollar cargo racks from Walmart to attach everything to and it works like a charm.
Start with cleaning your light fixtures. If light cannot escape, you can't use it.
Then see if you need new bulbs. There are a few options; stick with halogen bulbs and buy some Philips or go with some LEDs with Sealights.
I went full LEDs with Sealight after I restored the fixtures. They even have amber LEDs for the fog lights.

There used to be a mechanism that went on the divider (older Forester) but it was hot garbage. I guess an enginer thought it was better to just exclude it alltogether and not redesign the main part.

Loud enough that you'll want to put this under the spare tire wheel well area in the back to cut down on the drone.
Been there, done that. FYI, you're better off just getting a decent aftermarket straight-through SS muffler and having that welded on. Just my 2 cents, however.
A few things people already mentioned, the pin access code is another way to get into your car without having or needing your key. Definitely get some floor liners and I recommend some mud flaps as well.

Hello, I have the iOttie holder with the vent clip and I like it a lot. Just gotta tighten it up every once in a while but after it breaks in you'll be fine for longer periods of time. I have it placed on the passenger side vent which to me is an ideal spot. They have the cd player one too but it blocks your radio screen so that would be your call on that one. I got them on Amazon for like $55 bucks. I really like them and they were super easy to install.
The one I use is called OBD dash.Pro, but it's a Windows app. Don't think the dev ever made it for Apple and Android, but those stores have options like Torque Pro. I actually keep an old Windows Phone in my glovebox because I love the dash pro app.

Hey, EastPhilly! I am actually working on trying to get a winjet fog light set installed in my 2013 Impreza and found your comment super duper helpful. I’m just trying to figure out how you would know exactly which relay and H11 adapter to buy?
More specifically, which relay should I get from eBay and where exactly does it go in the relay button section in the car (user manual wasn’t helpful)? Also, which H11 adapter should I get from Amazon - is this the one you got? (Not sure if it’s a 9006 I should be looking for)
Thank you! I got the tow hook off Amazon. Looks great, I don't know if really functional. I would probably just use the one that came with the car if I was in the situation to. But, I like the aesthetic of it though.

Hey man, just a word of advice but unless you're the lucky few who put a turbo in this car, the red looks REALLY rice. Well, for my tastes at least. You can check out my red setup in my post history...
As for the colour I used, it's called Brimstone Yellow. I got it off Amazon.
If you never plan on removing them, I would use a bead of trim/emblem glue around the perimeter of the whole cover. Then a drop of thread locker on the screw.
Mind you, this will make them pretty much impossible to remove in the future.
I really can't wait to check these out after a nighttime fat bike ride in the winter.
I bought these straight bar LED lights while they are kind of gaudy, after giving it a long think, you really never see them. And the benefit in this case by far outweighs the esthetic.
I stubbed them out from the brake light access door--someone needs to make a mod for those as an LED light or a lens--and ran the right light to the left, spliced in 20g under the hatch's vertical panel through the rubber brake light boot and down inside the paneling and I used these [quick connects](https://www.amazon.com/dp/(B007JPPQH6) to splice into the side light's wiring.
The biggest problem I ran into with the lights though, was they are super stiff, and the hatch has a radius, and that really sucked. Since I already had the lights, I was sort of committed. I used a couple of this strips of leather and VHBd then to the lights to help with fitting then to the curve. Like I said I was already past the aesthetic, as you can't see there lights from inside the vehicle, not in the mirror. Maybe if you turn to look out the back from the back seat, but meh.
Yeah it's messy back there. I have this machine-thing that generates an endless amount of hair. A dee-oh-gee, I think, anyways, while I have the factory rubber matts in back, having that plastic-canvas cover does a lot better at collecting up Keto's dirty, muddy paw prints, after a day on the trail of mountain biking. It really does make it easier to vacuum up.

My home wrecker Pepper the Short is checking out her new backseat hammock.
Which will hopefully save my Impreza cloth seats.

I haven’t done this to my car yet, I’ve only had it a couple of weeks. But I see Subaru has their own fuel injector cleaner, I would give their stuff a try. Add it every time you change your oil to prevent build up.
Here is a link to it on amazon.

It’s a projector C headlight for 12-15 Impreza. I got them from Amazon(Recommended/Better quality), you can get them for a bit cheaper on eBay(3rd parry seller/okay reviews). They look and work great

That’s a push clip hole. You can get a set of 100+ from amazon for like 10$, just make sure it’s Subaru and for bumper clip holder bc they are different sizes and it does matter. I had to get some when I installed a front lip to my 2013 Impreza, and that thing hanging down is the lower engine cover from water and dirt.

I couldn't find anything at the hardware store that would work. I guess if you have something or you can find something then you don't need to get these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004IARSFI?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
> going to get swirls that require a very fine polish to remove.

I use this to dry off: It's a glorified squeegy but it works very well to limit the amount of cloth contact with your car. Two years, normal washing and waxing, no swirls.

Here is the link but I would strongly recommend that you put in your vehicle to check fitment before ordering them since yours is 15 years newer than mine haha.

I did, they are the ones that gave the wrong fitting one. It seems there is not an aftermarket one to be had at any local stores. I did find and aftermarket on Amazon but it is the same price as OEM, so I am going to get the OEM for sure.

They can be added!

This will work for 2017-2019 (this is for the hatch, they do also have it for the sedan).

this is probably the closest you'll get
I use this in the cubby of my '15 sport. I have it tilted a but toward the driver since I use Google Maps on it. Used to use it with an iPhone 5s but it fits my One Plus 5t fine. I have a low profile USB C cable that allows it to fit while charging.

It's from C&C Car Worx on Amazon. Install was super easy, just clean the bumper well, peel off the covering on the double sided tape, then set it on straight. There's a small arrow molded into the top of it to help you center it.
It's more of a plastic than rubber, but seems durable/well made and it's held up so far. Certainly saved my bumper from a couple scratches! I like the look of it as well.
I've tried these too. I really wanted these to be LEDs that didn't make me a jerk, but I went back to halogens.. LEDs are too bright and the light only comes out two sides of the stalk, unlike a halogen bulb where it emits 360º. The reflector housings don't correctly aim this light and you end up with bright spots. Its fine for you, but it sucks for other drivers on the road.
These are a much better choice: brighter but still halogens giving correct light dispersal.
Not the one who originally posted the comment you're replying to, but it sounds like they're using the ScanGauge II (on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000AAMY86/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_sXn6Bb727WMKV) - I use this in my '18 Impreza, and it's really helpful to have on hand. You can have it display four stats at a time on the screen - I have it set to show me my RPMs, battery voltage, water temperature, and there's one other thing it displays but I can't remember what it is off the top of my head. It'll also give you error codes when error lights pop up on your dashboard, which is helpful. It's definitely worth the money.
Don't put LED replacement bulbs in the stock assemblies. They're too glare-y and don't really help (I did for a while, swapped them back out).
Try these bulbs, they're quite a bit brighter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U1OIESK/
