I’ve had this on and off most of my life but this last episode hit me about 2 months ago and it was awful. However, it’s starting to get better! I’m now a big believer in that this is treatable and possible to overcome if you put the time and effort in, and studies have shown this too. Exposure and Response prevention is the way to go. I’m in therapy now and I’m also doing my own work in parallel with the help of this: https://www.amazon.com/Free-Yourself-Death-Anxiety-Self-Help-ebook/dp/B09N5G22PD
Hey everybody, thanks for asking. I'm one of the people to run the study. We had over 50 submissions from this sub alone and the combined insights about problems and best practices to overcome thanatophobia look really promissing. We will engage in the analysis of the data now, and should be able to send the study results in July (exclusively to the participants). If someone still wants to participate and receive the results, here's the link (this is past deadline now, but the submissions still work for a few days to enable late comers to still participate): https://airtable.com/shrC0XdPwfBG3MF66
I heard that this was good, but I haven’t read it yet.
