Oh man, that's not good. This is the supplement that I used with levothyroxine and it helped some, I never consulted a doctor or pharmacist though.
I kept a piece of silicone sheet over it for about 6 months (once it closed). It really helped healing and diminish/flatten the scar, as well as protecting it from the sun (use sunscreen if you don't cover it!). I used these sheets which I cut to size: https://www.amazon.com/Aroamas-Professional-Silicone-Scar-C-Section/dp/B09BZYYK5W/ref=sr_1_7?crid=UCX0E2JT2R9R&keywords=professional+scar+removal+sheets&qid=1649264544&sprefix=professional+scar+remo%2Caps%2C133&sr=8-7
Also, don't forget to do scar massage - it helps a lot.
Yes, apparently this happens all the time (though I'm still learning about it). Might want to check out this book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0985615435?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
It discusses how your levels can be in the "normal" range, but you can still have big problems. The docs are quite critical of the standard thryoid tests.
I quit them altogether when I developed my deficiencies. Had bad reflux for maybe a month and then it was fine. Weirdly enough, low stomach acid can cause acid reflux too so ppi's can potentially just make things worse. There are natural things you can take that help a lot.

You really need thyroid labs to know. Do you have any of your other labs you can post? Use imgbb.com and block out your personal info, or at least post the stuff here in terms of actual result and reference ranges. Relevant other labs would include calcium and ALP and should be included from your normal screening labs.
I used these ones but if you google “silicone scar sheets” there are loads of options! I am about 4 months post now and my scar is barely noticeable.
This also appears to be something that could suit her needs -- although one comment stated that each pill only contains 450mg of elemental calcium, so keep that in mind if you choose to go with it.

I’ve really liked a lot of the Shea moisture products. I’d definitely start using a leave in conditioner and/or deep conditioner masque. I was doing that first then did mostly switch to cgm a few more months later
I also got myself a silk pillow case and have liked sleeping on it if nothing else silk pillowcase
I made a phone app to help with that kind of thing. It shows a fullscreen reminder on the phone when you pick it up for the first time in the morning. If you are like me who has an Android phone and always looks at it soon after waking up then it might be useful.

If you happen to have an Android phone my app is available on the Google Play store.
I can't say much about other apps. I tried to use a couple at first but I didn't like that most would operate essentially like an alarm clock. I wanted something that would remind me when I woke up without being super strict about the exact time. In my experience the strict alarm clock just gets snoozed a lot...
I have found that having a strong routine helps a lot for taking the medicine every day. My levothyroxine comes in a blister pack. Every night before I sleep I cut one square out with a scissor and place it next to my bed with a glass of water. This way, I can take the pill as soon as I wake up while I'm still half asleep, and without needing to get up first.
Another thing I do is that I made a phone app to add an extra reminder on top of that. It basically shows a fullscreen message on my phone every morning. So if I pick up my phone to see what time it is or to procrastinate on Reddit, there's a big reminder there reminding me to take my pill first. The app also remembers the exact time when I've taken the pill, which helps me know when it's OK to have breakfast.
If you also have an Android phone you could give it a shot :) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.gualandi.dailypill
