I’ve not read it but Lost East Anglian Railways by Leslie Oppitzlooks good. Not sure where in Suffolk you are but looks like it covers lines to Fram, Southwold, Aldeburgh and lots more

There are various books published annually that cover the current traction on the system.
Yeah I think Glasgow would be highest so far then with 9, assuming you count high and low level as the same station. Although if you look on open street map then you can see the trains that go to Pollokshields West do go past Pollokshields East, so it depends whether that counts too. That's the highest I can find so far though.
