That’s ridiculous. I had an amazing vegan pregnancy and had not problems at all. It’s perfectly safe to be v eggar while pregnant, especially because we regularly avoid most of the foods that can be extremely dangerous for pregnant women.
Here are two resources I used while in pregnant.
But doing a quick amazon search shows a lot more. Eat a varied diet, don’t overload on vegan junk food and you’ll be fine.
I'm not coming from a pregnancy perspective, but with what you're eliminating, it's gonna be REALLY tough. You could eat 10-cups of broccoli, spinach and bok choy all day and probably hit your macros and protein, but that's gonna be a death-march and your stomach is gonna struggle to keep up.
I think that given your other struggles, finding a Pea Protein that you can manage is going to be your absolute best bet. It's easy on the stomach, and basically pure protein. This one is 8g protein to 35 cal and it's unflavored.
Try to introduce it everywhere and see where it's most palatable. It doesn't have to be smoothies: if you're making a soup, thicken it with pea protein. If you're baking, throw some into the dough. If you're instapot-ing or crockpot-ing, throw it in. If you eat basically "as is" and throw in 8 tbsp of that pea protein SOMEWHERE every day: you'll have your lower-bound guaranteed with very little additional volume.
I take 2000 microgram once every 3 days. pretty easy. I would take this even if not pregnant
Try straw sippys. My son hated bottles and switched to straw sippys at 9 months. He also prefers to be distracted while sipping so a walk while sipping would usually do the trick. try this
I found this on Amazon, is this kind of what everyone is talking about?
I just need to put in a quick plug for The Sneeches and Other Stores by Dr. Seuss, it is totally his best work. The Zax is part of that collection. It doesn't speak to veganism or anything, but the messaging is awesome nonetheless.
I would like to inform you about the Steam release (PC) of my game on 28/07. It's a puzzle game about nutrition, fitness and veganism. Great for kids to learn about vitamins and healthy food. Please check it out:

There is also a FREE version for android:

Else recently launched a version of their vegan toddler formula with added Omega 3&6. The product isn't fully organic like their other products, but most of the ingredients are.

Else Nutrition has plant based cereal that is a good source of iron.

We love the "What is a Narwhal?" series ... and this page actually gives some other solid recommendations as well, like "I am a bunny"
Becoming Vegan is my absolute favourite for nutrition. It’s so comprehensive and was my bible for a few years. Any book I’ve read since hasn’t been able to teach me anything new as I already learned it in that. It has chapters on each life stage, including pregnancy. I’ve no affiliations I promise!
First Steps Nutrition Trust have this excellent free pdf guide about feeding kids until age 4. It was my favourite during weaning. It’s so colourful, and I ended up ordering a hard copy. Plus my kids love to look at it too.
Feeding Your Vegan Child is a good introductory one, but it didn’t teach me anything new after I had done a good bit of research for a few years.
I haven’t found a helpful parenting-focused one yet. I’d love to find one myself!
I ate heavenly hunks as lactation cookies. They are vegan and oat based and calorically dense so they pretty much do the same thing!
Ran across this beautifully illustrated children's book about a young girl who is a vegetarian and her friendship with animal friends. My daughter loved it. https://www.amazon.com/Charlee-Her-Unlikely-Friends-Wickemeyer/dp/1737034417/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1642809498&sr=8-1
I would recommend QAOAR ICEGONE.
This defrost board really works! I normally pull out my meat mid day to give it time to defrost. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always defrost in time and I end up having to change dinner plans because of it. This has sped up the rate at which my meat defrosts. That and it isn’t a leaky mess when it does defrost. Works great! I used it for chicken thighs and it works great! They defrosted almost completely after sitting on this board for 2-3 hours, which is so much faster than they normally defrost sitting out AND they were still packaged. This board is easy to clean and super sturdy. It’s also very easy to store
Is it a "problem" or is this normal healthy energy for a child that is having their nutritional needs met? I'm asking the question honestly. I don't know if B12 could cause abnormal hyperactivity but I haven't heard of it. Perhaps the spray is too high of a dose? We are using the following and haven't had problems:
EZ Melts Multivitamin with Iron, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VVQMGMM
My toddler loves Cashew No-Cheese Sauce on anything and has a strong preference for frozen fruit over fresh.
I feel like 90% of my toddler's vegetable intake is eating things as I'm chopping them up to prepare dinner. We have a toddler helper stand, and I'll give her a butter knife and she's "helping" while I cook. She's not very interested in vegetables at meals, but she'll gnaw on a carrot or onion while "helping."
If you're able to garden, kids tend to be more interested in food that they grow.
We have a "you only eat at the table, and during lunch and dinner, you stay at the table until everyone is finished" rule. I think this helps a lot because she'll start eating, be done eating, and then start eating again after being told she has to wait. It also keeps us from favoring the "toddler-friendly" foods that she could eat while moving.
We do a lot of instapot meals (my spouse likes The Vegan Insta Pot Cookbook), which are nice because everything ends up super soft and mushed together.
I totally get it, I was just as skeptical and delayed buying them bc they were so pricey lol but I ended up buying them as a last ditch effort to save my nipples. Silver is apparently antimicrobial, so no bacteria can grow but it keeps your nipples covered and moist giving them an ideal environment to heal. Plus it keeps your nips from rubbing on your clothes. You just rub a little breast milk on your nipples and put the silverettes on. I had a rather large open wound on my nipple for 2 weeks that was not healing bc I kept pumping and they were so sore to the touch, but seriously my nipples were back to normal after using these for 4 days. I bought an off brand to save a little money link and they work just as well. I’m serious, I tried everything, even lanolin when I was desperate and nothing worked this well.
The brand is “Nature’s Way”. I have an Amazon link below, but it’s also been available through Superstore/Loblaws and our local Co-Op for a far more reasonable price!
This is the best flavour, in my personal opinion: https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-NutraVege-Omega-3-Supplemet/dp/B07BGLSV12
We’re. On the hunt for a DHA supplement. Our daughter eats lots of flax in her French toast and pancakes, but the body isn’t great at converting omega-3 to DHA. She just got braces and so we’ve had to get her some soft foods to eat… normally I avoid single use packaging, but these fruit packs from Mama Chia have been a life saver for her… tons of Chia and she absolutely loves them…
Mamma Chia Squeeze 5 variety (10 pack) Wild Raspberry,Green Magic,Blackberry bliss,Strawberry ,Mango coconut https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KPAM52K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NRX7DNEF15R6X84T00QT
My son takes these and also I use iodized salt for cooking.
They don't have iron but that's super easy to get from nuts/veg/nut milk/beans/etc so I don't really mind.
My nips were itchy af the other day, I'm only 10 weeks, but I used some of this raw, unrefined shea butter I bought from Amazon and it worked great. I'd definitely recommend purchasing the raw, unrefined shea rather than something from target that is lotion which a bunch of weird shit it in that just has some shea in it. You don't need a lot. I use it on my face, too.
