Her head is actually too large for the hood but she doesn’t seem to mind. It fits her body perfectly
Edit: Edited to link the hoodie from Amazon
Daisy is between 40-45 lbs wearing a size Large. The XL was too large for her (too long). The inside of the hoodie is actually really nice - it’s a soft red fleece.

This is what we use to help keep dogs in the jeeps. Takes any key or longer flat object to open with zero mishaps so far.
Always a diva.
Someone else in the thread suggested carrots, I’ve used that at times. Just make sure they are in bite-sized pieces and softened in water. Or just used canned carrots.
Canned pumpkin is a other good option. Just be sure it is pure 100% pumpkin with no other ingredient and not pumpkin pie filling or other pumpkin product, the labeling is less than clear. With pumpkin just be careful because it is high in sugar.
Technically both those are orange.
Blueberries can work well and are also not green.
You can try mixing the fruits and vegetables with salmon oil. It’s a supplement for skin and coat health, but some dogs really love it and it also had a strong smell.
Not sure if I’m allowed to link it... but here you go!

I mean, there is enough sun for both of them but there isn’t enough shade for both hippos. It looks like they need a bigger canopy, larger, fluffier dog bed, and a water fountain
Is it for when she’s outside? I use glow collars for my dogs—not glow in the dark collars, but glow collars! They’re LED and work great. I use these
My double TPLO pup. That was taken after his first surgery late 2019, he had his second early summer 2020.
Follow the post care physio instructions to a tee and your pup will be back to normal soon, I promise!
After 5 weeks Darwin had resumed playing and wrestling with his sister, and to be honest, ended up far more active after the surgery than before with regular exercise.
I do recommend a glucosamine supplement (my vet did and I saw a definite improvement in his mobility after a week or two) - I order this one off Amazon. At 2 pumps per meal it lasts about 2 months.
All that to say that everything will be fine even if it'll be a good amount of effort for you to help your pup through the recovery, though plenty worth it.
I had the same issue and got this (not the exact same one I bought, can't find it) since it gives her more movement and avoids the buckle entirely

The vet said our pupper was getting chunky so we bought a very active toy. It’s called a flirt pole and you need a good sized space to use this toy…we don’t play with it in the house. After 10 mins with this thing, our boy is all tuckered out. He’s a 70-75 pittie and we have to hide the toy in a closet or he’ll lose his mind.

Thank you! I got them from Amazon. The Brand is listed as Metglad. Hopefully the link works. She loves wearing the vest, my other one, not so much so I'm trying to get him more used to it. :)
I will say that they do rotate on their sides in the water, because of the buoyancy, so while the vests are cute, I don't let them in the water without me like right there. Not 100% sure they'll save my dog since they're not used to wearing them just yet and as I said they kind of rotate trying to keep themselves upright.
I think if attached to the seat belts as pictured in this listing (found the one I bought) it should be since it's essentially all seat belt. I'm not familiar with how much the roof handles can withstand, so I'm not so sure if used in that configuration

I love this one. Great for indoors around the house on chilly nights. Once again you're only getting a season out of them but they are pretty well made.
Extra vote for glucosamine. My 8 year old pit has had both rear leg TPLO surgeries done in the last year and loves the liquid stuff so he gets a double pump with every meal.
This is the brand I use and it lasts about 2 months/bottle.
We love it-this is year 3 with it. It’s a large size, found it in amazon. It holds up well. Etta scratches at it and doesn’t seem to damage it. Let me see if I can find the link.
Looks like there’s other options of similar styles.
Thank you!
We bought it off Amazon . It has an adjustable Velcro strap across the chest so it’s perfect for bullies with weird proportions. We got an XXL.
That's what we ended up with for Miss Daisy. here's a link. There's a double ended zipper along the spine so you can adjust the opening to where ever the harness anchor is, plus a second opening for hooking to a collar. We picked this model because of how adjustable the coat was - wide velcro band under the belly and velcro around the chest and front legs.
Toppls are great for normal chewers (dogs who don’t need the black Kongs).
You can get a small Toppl and a large Toppl, fill them both like you fill Kongs, then the two halves fit into each other (there are screw threads on the inside) and it takes much longer than an ordinary Kong to finish.
Freeze the Toppl with the two halves screwed together.
The stretchy part of the leash that locks to his harness broke halfway through. Used my leash to wrap around the headrest and it actually worked better than the one supplied. https://www.amazon.com/PET-PRODUCTS-Buckle-Seat-Large/dp/B07QY4HF8W/ref=asc_df_B07QY4HF8W/

totally not trying to push you or anything im just curious, have you tried this harness? i had tried harness after harness and collar after collar and it is the only thing we’ve found that works for our boy, and it works wonders. we have a leash that has two clips so one hooks in the front of the harness and one hooks on the backside. its the main reason he walks good on a leash now! again not trying to convince you of anything since what you have works, just throwing out what’s worked for us since you said you wish you didnt have to use it😊

I have a similar one that my baby loves. I have a 50lb pitbull and she uses the large one when she wants to snuggle up and the jumbo one gets used when she sleeps sprawled out.

I’m sorry about your ankle, but the story made me laugh because I can relate. He has this squeaky toy, about 12 inches long and looks questionable if you didn’t know it was a dog toy - I have tripped on that stupid thing so many times.

oh it works alright. and if you have one of these you will NOT stop him from workin.

Here is a link to the collar. It was the one our trainer recommended to be used during her sessions and we have been using it ever since. Our dog is responsive with it and she's used to it as well so it's our normal everyday collar when we leave the house.
Outward Hound “Grandby Splash” style, it has the handle on the back plus a chin float which is a must for blockheads :)
Here’s a link from Amazon but it’s also available at petco, chewy, and many other sites.
This is the one we got for his "fancy going out" collar. Couple different color / hardware color combos, too.
Then Lando needs water in a frozen bowl that will keep it cold while he runs.

Fwiw I have an older pit (who looks a lot like Elwood) and a shepherd, Cosequin is what I buy (same ingredients as dasuqin) which my vet approved, and both of my dogs will eat them plain, which is no easy feat for my very picky pibble.

They also make aerial tie out systems which have less of a tripping risk for both dogs and people. I’ve never used one, so I don’t know how secure any are, so research and test before using.

She is doing the same thing that my rescue pittie did. She is making herself as small as possible and is having an object hug her. I got my girl a smallish bed with high sides that she could curl into and feel like she was being hugged a bit. She loved it. If you are planning to buy a bed, can I suggest one like that? Also go as small as you dare. Being oversized defeats the point.

Amazon. The collar and patch came separately.
You can also get them from Carhartt, Cabela's, Petco, Amazon, wherever. I was surprised it fits my girl so well as doggy stuff isn't usually made for pitty shapes, but I just went with her chest measurement and it's perfect. From what I can tell they're about $45 wherever you get them. I got mine from Amazon and it was supposed to be delivered in 10 days but it came in 6, so that was pretty awesome.

I had to get my boy had to get a wheelchair this past summer. My dad ended up getting him this one as it had bigger wheels that helps when he offroads outside. wheelchair
I would suggest getting a full-body harness for indoor use, as they're used to the size of their body, so they will scratch and mess up the interior of the house because their back end is now a lot larger due to the wheels. It will also assist for the times when they HAVE TO GO and you don't have time to fuss around with the chair. help em up harness
Both of these products have been a massive help with my 14 y.o. pittie in getting him up and around and able to keep him mobile.
I got it from the business Amazon account (company car) so work paid for it.
It’s £23 from Amazon uk- really easy to fit and Juni seems happy with it
I'm glad. He makes my heart melt every day. Such a loveable and unique goober! The toy was a gift from Santa Paws, but I was able to find a link to a similar item here:
His doggie grandparents got the toy from Aldi. I was able to find some comparable here:
Sophie is much the same way, she'll come up and shove her snout into my side if I'm at my computer and grunt and groan until I turn around. Metric ton of sass, that one.
She used to be more chill about food time until I started seasoning her dry food, I bought the chicken one and also a beef liver sprinkles one, and I just alternate morning and evening. She acts like it's crack in there, maybe the ingredients list is hiding something haha.
I buy toys without stuffing like these and then insert an old dishcloth or t shirt in it. When she rips it apart at least there isn’t stuffing everywhere and I can often squeeze back in the towel/t shirt. I’ve also been known to quickly resew easy tears bc it’ll give the toy a lot of extra lives.
My pitty loves this fox kong but it's not durable at all. She'll keep it for months and then shred it in minutes. But it's adorable so we buy it over and over again
We've had luck with these in that she will play with them a bit and they last several weeks with squeaker intact. They aren't really soft toys, but she doesn't play with any other durable toy and she likes to squeak them. She adores soft toys but they are verboten because she does the same as yours to them and swallows pieces.
This one is my velvet hippos favorite… she wears it for days at a time in the winter. And I just take the plastic hoop part that opens it up because it ends up getting chewed on anyway lol. It’s machine washable too which I appreciate!
It's hard to find the "perfect" muzzle, ugh! My friend's pit mix was able to injure another dog while using this style muzzle, by biting down on the top of the smaller dog's neck and grabbing the loose skin that squished through the holes. Another reactive dog I know was able to pinch bite a man's calf while wearing one of these. I wonder if this style would work better?
My dog is leash reactive and we’ve used this training method with him. He’s very scared and sensitive. So we don’t use prong or shock collars. I used this book to learn how to get him to walk better on leash - a lot of high value treats when he sees anything scary and stressful. I noticed a difference within a few days and within a few months I noticed his confidence has skyrocketed. Even the daycare he goes to mentioned a positive change in his behavior.
Anyway, highly recommend this book. I haven’t read all of it but the parts I have read have been great.

Definitely would recommend going a size up. The Velcro straps barely fit across her chest and under her belly. I got the large for Roxie, should have ordered an XL
We switched to this and ours became way less gassy.
Also, whatever food you try switching to, try putting some water with the food, it activates the smell for your pup and makes it more attractive/taste better

These are amazing. We also have success with antlers.
Water buffalo horn. Better than cow hooves. Just be careful, mine figured out how to pull a single fiber off of it. I only buy mine in person, never online. That way I can pick one where the fibers of it are more tangled.
Also try Duckworth. There is something about that toy that some dogs find perfect. It only has one big squeaker in the middle, so it's easy to find. I found my dog dislikes small squeakers, and will chew them out. There are no limbs to chew off.
Try a few toys until you find your dogs preference. My girl destroyed so many toys until I found what she likes
My pittie really likes yak cheese chews like these and they last awhile for him when other things didn't. After they work on them and they get too small, you can microwave them and they turn into a crunchy treat. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071NSY33S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Nerf Squeek football. It might not last months on end, buy my pit loves them and they last about 2 months on average, more if you keep them on rotation. They're fairly cheap too which is a bonus. I usually buy them about 10 at a time and keep em squirelled away out of sight.
It's a Baskerville Ultra Muzzle. My only complaint is it's slightly too long, but my hippo has a very short, wide snout so it was the only side that fit her girthy mug. Lol. But she can drink from it and I can give her treats so it's pretty perfect! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00596TFVA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Getting a harness where you can clip the leash ON THE FRONT of the harness is absolutely life changing!!
My hippo is a 65lb boy and he is incredibly strong (I'm a petite female, 115lb), but with the harness it's super hard for him to pull since it pulls him to the side instead
Hope you're okay OP!
Here’s a link! I got it off Amazon. If you can’t access the exact same one search up “no pull harness” This one has a front and back latch, it’s awesome.
My dog’s not a huge chewer and didn’t use to play much. He’ll play with us, especially if we’re super animated about it, but only recently started legit playing by himself. He doesn’t like Kongs, rope/tugs or anything meant for aggressive chewers so it’s mostly soft toys for him.
Here are things he liked from the start, though: - Dirty socks, especially the stretchy no-show ones. Something about the smell and the texture I guess. - Grunting rubber pigs (like these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002Z5I2AI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NAMGYCXYVE0QP2D68SQ0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) - things with tassels/fuzzy texture (like this https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/bark-a-boo-unicorns-plush-octopus-dog-toy) - tennis balls, especially the rubber blue ones
Try out textures like these! I think the soft/fuzzy/chewy ones might be comforting.
Nerf makes (for dogs) a rubber outer ball with crinkly stuff in the middle. It sounds like a treat bag. I grabbed one off hand and brought it to my pit mix and it’s her favorite thing. I had no idea she’d like it so much. https://www.chewy.com/nerf-dog-crunch-checker-ball-dog-toy/dp/213846

Idk if you’re open to a different dog food but I was having problems with my baby’s fur so I changed her over to Diamond naturals Dog Food it helped tremendously with her coat. And since she passed I now give it to my new puppy and her fur is always very soft and looks great!
I would just suggest a spikey collar in case another dog ever attacked, that way she would have some form of protection since she's muzzled. Good on you for training your dog and being a responsible owner.
I just ordered him this harness yesterday in coyote brown color. I even still have some old USAF name tapes from when I was enlisted. That I'm gonna have seen onto it. Can't wait for it to arrive
This is the one I have, my dogs are small with a combined weight of 13 kilos. But it can have a dog up to the weight of 40kilos in it. I’ve had it about 5 years now and it’s perfect. Just have to pump up the tires every so often. Dog bike trailer
