- Maybe a solar charger, and a little tool kit, something like a leatherman.

- 3-4 days to explore and get familiar with Vietnam, maybe a day trip as well, and to meet people.

- There are a couple of bike resellers in Old town, but backpackers will be also selling theirs, so you should find a decent one easy enough.
- You should be ok each night to find a hostel or little hotel.
