Yes there is an App! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.angryburg.uapp heres the link for it on the Google play store. I'm not sure if there is one for the IOS but I'll definitely find out in a bit.
The best starting place for record players is either a 70s/80s Japanese-made player, or an Audio Technica AT-LP60. It really depends on the kind of experience you want out of it. The lp60 is a kind of plug and play type deal. It has a built-in phono preamp. The cartridge is a decent enough moving magnet style. And it has a spring counterweights that does the job. The only issue with it is that there isn’t much room to upgrade. A vintage turntable is different in that you need more equipment to get sound out of them, but having that equipment makes upgrades easier. You’d need a phono preamp. Something like this Pyle would do the trick for less than $25. And then from there you’d need some kind of audio output device that accepts those RCA inputs. You can find receivers pretty cheap at thrift stores, or you could use something like a headphone amplifier(for headphones, a receiver would be for if you have speakers) (schiit magni is what I use, but you can find things like this for less that still have RCA inputs). Those extra pieces of equipment don’t have to add a whole lot of money to the cost, but they can. My advice would be to get an lp60. It’s a lot simpler and there’s less room for error when buying equipment. Buying vintage could also mean you have to do maintenance. If you just want to plug in and listen to music you love go cheap and easy, but if you want an experience go for all the bells and whistles at a budget.
Hi! This is my first Rainmeter skin! It's still a work in progress, but I'm trying to make it look like the screen you get when you're in Jill's room. For the moment only the phone part is ready (and it isn't even finished), but you can still download this version [here]!
If you still don't have Rainmeter, you can get it [here].

Current features:
- Displays the current day and date: you can choose between the DD/MM or the MM/DD formats.
- Change display name: you can change the name that's under the date & time (where Jill's name usually is) for anything you want with a maximum of 7 characters.
- Displays time: this option can be activated or deactivated. Only the 24-hour format is available.
- Change size: there's four size options. In my experience, size 3 is the size that the game uses. Size 1 is the native size of the image files.

Planned features:
- Make every icon customizable: I plan to make every icon customizable, meaning that the user will be able to change the image and what program the icon executes.
- Add Jill's room: I'd like to add Jill's room and make it customizable with the in-game items. I don't know how practical this will be because of the amount of images I'll have to include in the skin.
- Nanocamo app: make the Nanocamo app work like it does in-game, meaning being able to customize Jill's Room's walls and her kotatsu.

Small things I wanna add but still really don't know how:
- The same animation the unlock button has in-game.
- In-game sounds when interacting with the phone.
- In-game music.

If you have any suggestions or run into any issues please let me know! Also let me know if you find any typos or some weirdly-written stuff, as English is not my first language.
Hey y'all! I made this phone background using KLWP! I used the sprite rips off of spriters resource found here (https://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/va11hallacyberpunkbartenderaction/sheet/80891/) I hope you all like it! Edit: I should have also added the link for the app icons I used on the tablet so here it is! Sorry about that (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pixbit.prime)
I'm a bit late to the party, but just adding here in case the registry edit method doesn't work for you (It doesn't work for me on the latest Windows 10, Update 1909).
I used Winaero instead. The thing is pretty easy to figure out and it probably has the most advanced windows customization tools (like fonts, sounds, boot options, button behaviours, and stuff).
Shit, you're right, didn't know they use a lot of fonts. Did some more digging and apparently one of the English ones is from Papers Please, but the the dialogue font is Inconsolata (which is still free).
Hello again! This is an update to my previous post. I'm making a Va-11 Hall-a-themed Rainmeter skin! If you don't know what Rainmeter is, it's a dekstop customization tool. It's very user-friendly and easy to pick up and use. You can get it [here].
This is still a work in progress, but you can download my skin [here]!

- Nanocamo App (incomplete): For now, only Jill's Room's wallpaper can be changed. Planning on doing the table next, as well as being able to customize all of the items in Jill's Room.

Well that sucks, but at least you're able to play it if you do that. No idea why they wouldn't have been actually released for New Zealand, but I don't think it costs too much to setup an American or Australian account, and for Va-11 hall-A, it's definitely worth it. Also, remember to, when you have played the game and inevitably become attached to it, check out the CD soundtrack; I normally don't get CDs, but for Va-11, you'll want one (Recommend this one, as it comes with every song across every version of the game, the Familyjules cover of everyday is night, Insaneintherain's vocal covers of Kira Miki's songs, and a bonus hard to find live performance song).
