You can find them pretty easily for around $1000. Amazon Link
I paid about $400 for the base and $200 for the filling station. I paid the builder $200 to run the plumbing and I spent about another $60 in parts to get it all connected.
I really like the new CamelBak Chute Mag tops. They fit most standard water bottles with wide mouths (not extra wide like most Nalgenes). The tops screw off, attached to the base, and are magnetic, making it easy to drink your preferred beverage (obviously water) without having the lid dangling into your face (looking at you Nalgene). The size of the opening makes it ideal for chugging without splashing into your face unlike water bottles which have the entire lid screw off.
I have both a 25oz and a 50oz,but a true hydrohomie will obviously opt for the latter.
These are much better than the CamelBak Eddies, solely because they are easier to clean and only have one part. If you live somewhere really hot, I'd recommend getting a hydroflask/thermos esque vacuum sealed tumbler and getting the CamelBak Chute Mag top.
Aqualert is a great app if you're on Android, it not only sets reminders to drink water, but it also will tell you how much to drink a day based on your height and weight.
I just put a post up about this, scrolled, and saw your post.
My Brita bottle came today! I’m now drinking water which I wouldn’t usually drink! Tastes like bottled water pretty much.
I’m from Wales and Welsh waters relatively good, however my area and my boyfriends area has awful tasting water..not sure why... but the bottle makes it bearable! Not sure about long term usage though, as I’ve only had mine for one day but I’m pretty amazed.
Not sure if you care much about colour, but the purple “sporty” bottle I bought was 7.99, much cheaper than the other bottles! link
